Thanks for the support man. I've still got quite a road ahead of me, but that's fine.

Trollbomber's Blog To Completionist - Max Cape Achieved
I played a decent amount this weekend. Managed to finish up all of the mith plates to get 85 smithing, I'll add a pic later. I also did a few floors, getting me a bit closer to 93 DG. I have 94 crafting banked, so I should get that this evening. Randomly bought 3k raw rocktails as well, so that'll get me 95 cooking. If I get those done fast enough I may go for 97 cooking tonight so I can do all effigies.

Well, after much thought, I've decided to try and begin to slow down my gameplay on RuneScape. Why? I'm addicted. There's no doubt about it. This addiction probably wouldn't be that big of a deal to me if I didn't already have other major life plans, but I do, and I need to do my best to spread my focus and hard work across many more aspects of my life than just this game. To clarify, I don't regret anything I've done up to this point in terms of gametime played, ect. I've enjoyed all of the time I've spent playing RuneScape thus far, hence why I'm addicted to it. For one, I have slipped out of my habit of going to the gym on a regular basis to stay in shape. I'm not fat or obese by any means, but I have lost my figure once again. When I am focused on staying in shape, it keeps my mind healthy too. I have a better outlook on life in general, and am in better mood much more often. Staying in shape is another one of my top priorities that I need to focus on more. Next, I'm about to finish up my last two semesters for my Associates starting in a couple of weeks. My first year, I managed to play RuneScape and go to school, but I know for a fact I did not perform as well as I could have. I even failed 1 online class due to the fact that I focused on RuneScape way more than I did that class. Looking back now, it wasn't really worth it, but it happened nonetheless, and I need to learn from it. With school coming up, it is another reason I will not be playing as much. And fiinally, for those of you who may not know, I have a baby girl on the way. She'll be here in the next month or two to be exact. I need to be there to help take care of her, and I know for a fact that I don't want to be spending every waking minute of my time on this game when I could be there helping raise her like a father needs to. This news may come as a surprise to many, and I understand. Lately while playing the game I have been taking it more and more seriously each day. Setting goals for a max and completionist cape down to the date gives the impression to others and myself included that I have this training down to a science and that nothing is going to stand in my way to get them accomplished. Sure, I could if I wanted to, but that would require me to shut out many more important aspects to my life including my health, education, and most of all, my daughter. Up until this point I thought the previous three were possible to maintain along with the current rate at which I play, but I have realized I can't give my full undivided attention to everything by doing so. This is not me quitting RuneScape for good. I believe it is possible to maintain a balance between playing a game in a healthy manner while maintaining other priorities. This is simply an indication that starting today I am going to try and cut down on my gameplay. Yes, there will be times in which I may have a lot of time to play still, but for the most part, I am going to be very busy soon with other things in life. My goals for this game haven't changed in the least, only the date at which I will acheive them. From this point on I will no longer set day-by-day goals for myself revolving around this game, nor will I have deadlines on when I want to achieve the capes. Other than all that, I'll cya around every once in a while :)

Today went very well. I managed to achieve the goals of mine that I cared for (eh I'll do thieving later lol), plus got some other levels. First off, I managed to do quite a few floors, and accomplish what I thought would be the hardest goal of the night, 92 DG. I also encountered a soulgazer for the first time ever, but unfortunately no hex. While waiting for floors, I also managed this. Kind of took me by surprise: After selling ~4k staves, I had a small pile of cash, so decided to prepare to invest in buyables seeing as my unbuyables will all be 85 soon. Bought 20k mith bars along with the efficieny scroll from DG. I needed 21,165 total bars for 81-85, so I should have some left over thanks to this scroll. I'll finish 85 up later this week: Finally, finished up 85 fishing. I had been working on this for a while now, and seemed to get extremely tired irl somehow while doing it (not really surprised though tbh). Glad to be done with it for a bit, seeing as it knocks one more 85+ out of the way before August 14th: In regards to my plans for the rest of the week, I'm not entirely sure. By the end of next Sunday, I would like (if at all possible): 85 Mining 85 Smithing 94 Crafting 95 Dungeoneering We'll see what happens.

Advanced Dungeoneering Help/Tactics/Tips & Tricks
I've recently taken interest into Dungeoneering again, this time with an all new perspective. Last time I DG'd heavily, it was only to buy a rapier and unlock frosts, and I though for sure I'd be done after 85 for good. Since then I've created bigger goals that I want to accomplish, one of which includes 120 DG. I have started keying a few floors here and there recently, as well as DPSing floors often with others, but am still disappointed in the outcomes of my efforts in both fields. I understand that I am slowly getting better, and have accepted the fact that experience gained overtime will be the biggest factor in my ability to learn, understand, and overall master the skill. However, I believe until then, there are several useful bits of information out there that I may not be aware about, as well as answers to some questions I may have. The following are questions which I would greatly appreciate help with (emphasis on keyer questions): [DPS] What attack styles are useful on different monsters (Crush = Ghosts) ect. [DPS] Killing priorities in rooms (Forsaken Mage/Necro > ?). [DPS] How to better sidestep and move around GDs to avoid damage. [KEYER] Prioritizing room clearance tips (Which rooms should have higher priority?). [KEYER] How to read/understand where the critical path is. [KEYER] How to keep DPSers busy during idle time when not doing GDs. [KEYER] How to cut down on idle time in the first place. [KEYER] How to know when the group gatestone needs to be moved by someone else (I understand the basics behind this, this question ties into the "room priorities question") [bOSS] Which bosses is it best to use ragers on, or rather, which bosses shouldn't I use them on? Also, is there ever a time in which a familiar other than a rager is useful/acceptable? [bOSS] I understand that thunderous is always towards 1 corner of his little platform more than the others. With respect to the corner he's closest too, is there any particular pillar that is best to hide behind? [bOSS] On flesh floors, is it best to have a tanker? If so, what prayers do tanks/DPSers use throughout the fight? I've tried "tanking" once and died while praying melee due to the strong mage attacks, so does everyone just use mage pray? [ROOMS] When you need to catch the ferret running around, is bare-hand catching always better or are traps ever a viable option? It seems that bare-handed takes some time often, but never see anyone use a trap either. These are just some of the questions I have come up with for the time being. Seeing as I'm only 91 DG at the time of writing this, I'm sure many more will pop up later as I progress. As I said before, I'm sure most of my experience will come with time and learning sevearl different things on my own, but for the time being, I'm open to all advice. Thank you.

Well, lately my day-by-day goals seem to be failing left and right. Yesterday after I got off work I had an entire evening available to train, but passed out at 7 due to being extremely tired for some unknown reason. Woke up a few hours later, logged in to do 1 aba floor, then tried to fish again before giving up and going back to bed. Luckily I still got a magic level and an unscreenied 84 fishing so I didn't feel like yesterday was completely pointless. I probably won't have 99 for a while. I only train it now via low alching/superheating for the most part: If I want to make my deadline on maxing out this game then I'm really going to need to pick up the pace. I have another free evening tonight after work, so considering I got 12 hours of sleep last night, I'm hoping I can pull off an efficient night. Goals for today: 85 Fishing 92 DG 83 Thieving If I still have a bit more time, I'll try for 86 fishing (opening all my starved fishing effigies), or 84/85 thief (to knock another 85 out of the way before Aug. 14th)

Hakaan's Max Total Goal
Well whatever works. You've still got great potential to finish your goal out, I don't think a lack of cash atm should set you back. To be honest (although I play differently I suppose), I'm able to manage all of my buyables via farming torstols alone. Time spent doing nonbuyables still manages to bring in money via herb runs, which more than pay for my buyables later on. Even when I do buyables occasionally I realize how easily cheap they seem to be. I'll be superheating in lrc, adze-ing quit a bit while wcing, currently doing bstaves for crafting over a long period of time. The real killers are going to be prayer/construction/herb/finishing out smithing after 99 mining. I don't think it'll be all that harsh, and by then I'll have hopefully built up a large enough bank to pay for them all. As I said though, it may be different for you seeing as we play differently. Right now (including crafting expenses) I'm only profiting about ~40M a month or so, which is nowhere near a lot, but over time (~12 months till Comp Cape hopefully) that makes up 400-500M which will easy pay for the rest of my buyables. I'm sure things are different when you're able to win more money than I've ever held at once in 1 stake, but regardless, I wouldn't quit if I were you. You've still got great stats and potential.

So, are you done...? Or just taking a break? I knew you had gotten cleaned a while back but then won that 150M rage stake. Completely broke now?

Was busy with prior engagements this evening and wasn't going to get on afterwards, but decided to anyway. Managed to slip into a couple of quick floors: Started fishing, and was going to go for 84 tonight, but I'm pretty tired and cba to finish it. Going to go for 85 fishing and 98 mage tomorrow. Possibly a DG level. We'll see.

Thanks! When I started back up a year ago I only had ~25M total xp or so, and since then have played (for the most part) rather efficiently. Also, I'm doing unbuyables mostly right now, so that rate is a bit deflated. Hoping for ~70-80k/hr average by the time I max, but we'll see :)

Today was a good day. Bought ~ 5k staves from friends so I had plenty to keep me busy between floors. Got this early on: Shortly after: Tad bit later, halfway to 99: Did a few more DGs, including a TF, and got a pbaxe finally: Also, sold all the staves I made today for a little change. Probably going to just distribute it back out to my buyers and pick up a bunch of staves again later. Now going to waste some time doing a beastmode duo occ with a friend before bed.

Going to bed now. Did a few more floors tonight, getting me ~20k from 90 DG. I should easily get that tomorrow, and possibly 91 as I mentioned before. Really just depends on what's open. I'm approaching the halfway mark in several skills, one of which is farming. Got pretty frustrated with torstols lately though, as I was/am losing money on them fairly often. This is the worst luck I've ever had, and the worst in general I've ever seen. 1.6M loss: Oh well. The next couple runs made some "profit" so it kinda lessened the blow. Also got this throughout today. I really wanna get 85 tomorrow at least. Not sure If I'll have time between trying for 91 DG and 92 Crafting, but we'll see. Had fairly decent gains today, so I'm pleased with my progress. Hopefully tomorrow is another good day.

Got this earlier: only 227k from 90. I think I'll have it easily. 91 by the end of tomorrow hopefully.

Well, I managed to get 82 fishing and 82 thieving yesterday (no screenies). I'm probably going to continue doing these two skills over the weekend till I hit 85 in both, along with some DG on the side (to get 90 if I'm lucky). Also, 91-92 crafting by the end of tomorrow.- Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
IIRC, I started with around 20M total xp, and am currently at around 181M xp. Reset my counter a lot during the beginning but let it just keep rising after a while. It's at almost 153M XP now.- Trollbomber's Blog To Completionist - Max Cape Achieved
1 Year of Progress: Hopefully I can stand in this spot in 1 year wearing a Max/Completionist.- Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Today marks 1 year of consistent gameplay (despite a few month long breaks) back to RuneScape. I quit playing shortly into high school, and started back up last year after a 2-3 year break on 07/29/2010. Hoping that one year from now I'll be standing in the same spot wearing my max cape, possibly completionist.- Trollbomber's Blog To Completionist - Max Cape Achieved
Well, today I finished up one more 85+ for my goal: Also, got another 1k staves from a friend which granted me this: Currently need just under 4k staves to get 91. Hoping to get there if possible before sunday, at which point I'll be buying 4k off of another friend. All in all, I'm hoping I can be halfway to 99 crafting by Sunday night. Currently fishing, possibly straight to 85+ to knock off another skill.- Trollbomber's Blog To Completionist - Max Cape Achieved
Tonight was decent. First off: Sat at Ivy a lot today while at work, managed to get up to this: Got this, excited to be only 1 level away from thunderous floors: I finally keyed my first floor, which ended up being fairly decent (for me anyway). Deo help out quite a bit as a wingman too: May not be on much tomorrow, so I'll probably just farm, and possibly 89 DG or 85 wc if I have the time.- Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Keyed my first floor ever. Surely not impressive to most but I was satisfied. Props to deo as my wingman too <3 Also got this the floor before: Wanna try and unlock tf tonight, but we'll see.- Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Have about 20-30 effigies I could open now, but going to wait till fishing can open them. - Trollbomber's Blog To Completionist - Max Cape Achieved
