  1. Well, irl plans fell through, so I had some more time to work on my goal for the night. I managed to go above and beyond as well: Did miths plates, no sc hammers as usual. Chances are I'll be done actually "smithing" for a while. Once I hit 80 mining I plan on camping down in the lrc and working on the two together. Mahogany tables still, no sc hammers. Will probably keep with this method up until 99 (with the exception of using effigies) I've been using the "new" fm method lately and really got the hang of it down well. I don't bother using horn, and I've been burning yews. I have about 6k yews left for 85 fm, and may switch over to mages after that. This is becoming one of my more favorite skills. I often have downtime between training skills while I wait for herbs to finish growing ect., and this an easy skill to just sit in a bank and train. I have about 5-6 perm buyers now for my staves, so I am definitely having to make sure I keep money in the bank at all times now haha. Some of my buyers even have other buyers that they buy from for lower than me, then sell to me. Got our own little pyramid scheme going on hehe. I have a feeling this skill is gonna take off and reach 99 much faster, as I can't just let millions in staves and orbs sit in the bank not being used. All in all, I'd say today was a great success. Rounded off all buyables to 80, as well as a bonus of 90 herb. I am done training buyables (with the exception of crafting of course) until I manage to get all nonbuyables to 80. This will give me time to save up some money for when I need to start buyables again in full force next week. Goal: Have all nonbuyables to 80 by this upcoming Thursday night (I won't be online Friday or Saturday). Harder Goal: Also finish all diaries (except for elites).
  2. You sir, as well as others like you, are the poison that continues to kill this thread each day. Just drop this whole debate regarding why other people are playing the game. S U O M I already stated that he doesn't play for fame. Who are you to tell him he's wrong? Even if someone does play for fame, quit acting like your examples of other things to do in life were any better for them. Everyone is going to live their life the way they want to, so just drop all of the drama about how other people want to spend their time. This comment hasn't only been to you in particular, but to everyone who continues to troll other player's lives and the way they live them. Back on topic, I really found his interview interesting, and humorous at times. It surprised me to see that he manages to still do quite a few activities irl as well as get plenty of sleep and eat healthy *suddenly pauses from eating my pizza and drinking mountain dew* I wonder how many other players are able to play along the same style as S U O M I, or at least what the source of their motivation comes from.
  3. this Lol'd at the part about xp waste in terms of changing clothes color.
  4. Wasn't planning on getting this until I realized that an extreme range pot was a requirement for seers elite diary (which I now have all the reqs for! :D) Smithing down, got some stuff to go do, so we'll see if I'm able to get 79 fm and con tonight as well or not.
  5. Good luck on your goal as well! That woodcutting xp is ridiculous... there's no way I could ever do that. Are you still banking all your teaks & specials? Also, how long would you say it takes to unlock full lumberjack?
  6. I managed to find the two coins from the digsite thing (even though they took forever, approx 1.5 hrs) and finished the statue. I guess I was just confused by how long it actually took to get some of the stuff, but it's all good now. Thanks!
  7. Have you tried ranging there? Tbh I haven't. I finally found another room with fewer bots, but several nonetheless. I suppose it would be decent xp for afk'ing with knifes or something, but with all the bots, idk. Unspam: My first, back in April:
  8. Well, I had talked to a bunch of friends about buying me bstaves, so I have about 3 permanent buyers now for them. I have a feeling crafting may end up taking the lead now in xp at this rate. Anyway, did about 1500 staves and got 79 crafting. Was doing in soul wars with a friend, and I mentioned how I was going for max cape, and got trolled by a bunch of pures with "haha gl with getting the 5B cash you need noob" and blah blah blah. Basically I was told it was a huge was of my time to play this game and not to pk, and that skills were useless. *sigh* some people... Oh well, it was fun feeding the trolls while it lasted. Gonna try and probably get 79 smithing, construction, and firemaking today to finish off my goal.
  9. Spent some time yesterday fooling around in the wild for fun as I got a bit burnt out on skilling. Figured I could reward myself for all skills 78+ haha. Managed a 400k pk (which surprised me, I never pk), then proceeded to get owned by a chaotic maul haha. Oh well, I just about broke even, and it was all in good fun. Afterwards I didn't feel like skilling anymore that night, so I started some diaries. Finally finished the hard diary for Varrock (after getting frustrated over getting Kudos for the museum). I think today I may end up trying to unlock all possible diaries I can to just take it easy today. If I do any skilling, it'll be 79 in all buyables. I'll start all of the hard stuff tomorrow.
  10. Trying to get Skull Sceptre for Varrock Hard Diary. Gotta kill some flesh crawlers so I thnk "eh, it'll just be me down there all by myself" Oh was I wrong, very very wrong. Oh well. With the spawn rates these have they're practically asking to be botted. ffs. Plus, it's not multi, so you get to "dance" around between "already being under attack" while [bleep]ing computers steal your kills. /rant
  11. EDIT: problem solved.
  12. I read somewhere that a full horn, when used on agility will "last for 1M xp". First off, I'm not sure if this is true or not, as I've never had a full horn myself, and secondly, if anyone has tested this, what exactly does it mean? It matches 1M of my own earned agility xp for 2M total (1M from horn) or only 1M xp total while wearing it (500k of my own xp, 500k horn bonus). Thanks.
  13. WOO! I completed my goal today of at least getting all skills 78+!!!! Got a lot easier towards the end as I finished up with some buyables, but definitely took some time overall. New Goal: 79+ all nonbuyables by this time tomorrow Harder version: Alll skills 79+ by the time I go to bed tomorrow.
  14. About to get off work. I've got quite a bit of time to play today, so gonna try and knock out quite a few levels if possible. Goal: 78+ all skills. Harder goal: 79+ all skills. I've got quite a few skills that are beginning to match up together, so getting just all skills +1 is beginning to take a lot longer, but I'm gonna keep on going at full speed. A bit closer to 99 in all each day :D
  15. Pretty busy night. First off, all skills 77+ Spent a while at HH and got this Finally spent a little bit of time at teaks. Not looking forward to woodcutting in the future... Although this method is pretty efficient, it still feels slow as hell and I hate it. Can't wait to crack open my effigies with woodcutting. Stayed up later than I planned to get these levels... Gotta go to work in the morning. My goal after work tomorrow is 78+ in all skills, so we'll see how that goes.
  16. I haven't fletched bows in quite a while, so maybe I'm wrong, but aren't fletching and stringing the same speed? Or does stringing take less ticks now?
  17. 77 Smith out of the way. Lost 5.6M making 1434 mith plates. Not the most efficient training ever, but oh well. Time for FM. Had to buy a few more pyrelord pouches... Figured I'd get cash back as usual... Dat price. Oh well, it's worth it. Tried the new fm method for the first time. Had to get used the working with the longer ticks on the familiar, but afterwards I got used to it :D Finally managed to get 77 construction. My wrists are pretty sore, and I'm very tired as well, so I'll definitely be getting a good rest tonight.
  18. Looks like tonight I'll begin to work on slowly catching all skills up the same level, 77. Should manage to get 74-77 con, 74-77 smith, and 74-77 fm no problem. 77 crafting will have to wait till tomorrow once I have more bstaves in.
  19. This. I slayed using cannon on every cannonable task from 75-99, plus sometimes where people don't (fire giants in waterfall, ect). I would say I used about 200k cballs total, so paid approx 60M, but then again that was for almost 12M slayer xp and using cannon a ton. I imagine you'll be fine. Some tasks like black demons are becoming more of a hassle lately, rendering them useless, meaning you'll probably save some cballs that way.
  20. 1) Try either red or orange sallys. I personally did orange since finding an empty world for reds are nearly impossible. It's pretty good xp/hr. Just wear a Graahk top and leggings, and an enchanted water tiara if you have one and you'll be fine. I stayed there until ~72 hunter then switched over to commons to get plenty of seeds before 74. 2) I would make sure and invest in bandos, fury, claws, zerker ring, ahrims, sol, ect. Basically all of the gear you'll need to do your tasks efficiently. If you're all set there then it couldn't hurt to do a bit of barraging at rock lobs to get 92 summ (wolper) and 90+ mage (fire surge for ices). Other than that I would try to save money when you can for plenty of cballs and pots later on down the road.
  21. Try to get farming to 62 as said before for snaps then work your way to 74 hunter to get juju farming pots. They increase profits quite a bit (more so on torstols obviously) and are definitely worth the effort to obtain them. If I were you I'd start powerslaying now. As IHasChicken said, it makes you profit in the longrun by using more ppots ect. If this doesn't make sense to you, then just do it and you'll realize what we're talking about. Do some herb runs in betwen, as well as some tree runs if you want to unlock torstols faster. To answer your other questions: Fishing and Mining are neutral in terms of income when trained efficienty (barb fishing and concentrated gold in lrc). Neither is good money when used to actually make money. Oh, and crafting is a money-sink.
  22. It kinda just depends on what's going on at that point in my life, however I feel most of the completionist cape requirements (aside from 120 DG) seem easy enough, assuming all quests and tasks are done by the time I get max cape anyway, so it's a possibiliy. I can't fathom doing 5k castlewars games though, let alone all of the other requirements, so I can assure you trimmed comp won't happen lol. Coming up I've got vacation from July 17th to July 24th from work, aka lots of grind time. Trying to make a plan right now that will help me utilize my time best during my vacation. Hoping to knock out a few 85's if possible ;-)
  23. Ha, so much for getting Tier 7 in my clan... Eh, looks interesting though.
  24. Thanks man. Yeah my XP gains have been slow recently overall due to the fact I've only trained nonbuyables except for crafting. I'll probably stop them all at 85, at which point I can hopefully bring up all buyables to 85 as well quickly. It is definitely a challenge though. I'm always open to efficient training methods on this thread!
  25. Where's Waldo? Also got Jagex's six hour autolog... Definitely didn't feel like it with how slow mining as been going.
