  1. You clearly don't understand what micro means. Micro does not care which is most macroly efficient. ANY method can be micro'd, unless it's 100% afk lol.
  2. Micro is maximizing your Xp/hr (skill) at a particular method whereas Macro is picking the general method to train at. Micro = most efficient way to train at a course (perfect laps); macro = most efficient course to train at. Not limited to just Agility. Most Overall players tend to focus on the macro and just do it lazily without becoming pro at it. Real skill is in the micro and that's far more important in impressiveness than knowing which place to train at.
  3. You can't compare achieving goals in a game with achieving things like writing bachelor or do an apprentorship, yes it's trur that they 'would' have what it takes 'cause they can grind for months (and sadly... years) but i bet that almost no one of the top players have something like a real job/apprentorship or even finished university. and if you think about it what will get your far in life, playing runescape for over 20'000 hrs with quitting school (which is a common fact that many players did this) or studying/working for 20'000 hours? But after all, it's not my life, i can't judge them because of this. i'm just sure that i wouldn't ever be able to live on the cost of someone (mostly the parents) just because i wanna play a game cause of addiction. it's like a junky, wasting cash and in the end he has nothing won with the drug. But still he thinks that, that what he does is "right" because they enjoy it. (And i know quite many junkies so i totally know what i'm talking about) Both is unhealthy, damages the social life and in the end you're just dead and have nothing achieved. and in both categories they don't think like that. best example, when suomi quitted before 200m all he said that the game has destroyed his life, even if it was a great time, that's the samr thing which junkies are saying. but he came back and started enjoying it again. that's the same what junkies are saying. so, is it really an achievement playing for 15 hrs a day rather then going far in real life? I wouldn't be proud of sitting on my ass for 15 hrs calling my mom to bring food becsuse i don't wanna waste xp and then telling someone i'm working hard but they don't even lift. Lol best example is jebrim, he thinks he is a highly rated person because he spent over 15000 hrs training agility which does'nt take an effort, yeah i know i wouldn't be able to do that. But if i would be, i would TOTALLY NOT be proud of that. The only exceptions are the youtubers, 'cause it's their work. The community of rs is [bleep]ed up nowadays lol it's really sad reading this thread and see what game junkies are thinking of their addiction. Merry christmas, if anyone is celebrating this i know it's xp waste (that's what suomi said 2 years ago) I haven't lived with family or even had a Christmas with them in 6 years. My mother died unexpectedly a month and a half ago as well. I hadn't seen her in over 2 years. A close friend died a couple weeks ago too. I pushed myself through college and am days away from getting my degree. I'll be getting a job soon as a software engineer, something that pays very well. I spent the past few months falling in love with an amazing girl, only to lose her to someone else. I barely play RuneScape these days. My life has been very eventful. Don't pretend you know anything about me.
  4. Not true. I respect the most work that was put into one's achievements. If you spent your RuneScape career nolifing your ass off doing slow non-afkables, I'll respect that much more than people who did easy afkable and fast skilling. Also the amount of time put in plays a big role too.If we run agility laps together and I'm inefficient and slow as [bleep], will you respect me more than if I was able to keep up with you? :P Micro-efficiency > macro-efficiency

  6. How many Adventurer Log days do you have Bizarrely?
  7. I've been doing it since I was 11 too! Haha. :) I'm turning 24 in a few days. :P
  8. "That effort you just put in for no return isn't good enough, go spend several more hours of your life on it" Way to be ungrateful It is not what he meant tho. He wants to know whether someone could actually keep up with the same pace or not. And that is just 1 factor. I do appreciate the attempts to give me information, but I still haven't had my question answered yet. I've asked for the Xp rate 3 times now. Here's my last 3 posts:
  9. Why not just do it for a few hours straight and divide to get Xp rate? That's the number I'm really looking for, the long-term average, not a range of potential Xp rate. And explain Voice of Seren.
  10. Assuming you don't need large amounts of money and assuming you're not afking it, what's the long-term average Xp rate? (What you think I might get)
  11. I haven't been on RuneScape for the past week. Can someone give me the rundown on the Xp rate at the new Elf Course at 99? And a video to recommend watching?
  12. I decided to test FPF today and lol... When they said they removed penalty, they didn't also mention that they also removed the bonus you got if you actually followed the rules... Now it's essentially as if the penalty exists the entire time instead of only some of the time, good going Jagex lmao. FPF got a major nerf. P.S. The main English FPF world is completely empty. That's a bad sign lmao. Is it a bad sign or a consequence of the nerf you just mentioned? :o Actually a couple people did end up showing up, but still... I think people tested FPF and realized they weren't getting good rates after the update and therefore didn't stay. I made a video now about it:

  14. a fair percentage of them are just bullshit & drama, so if you plan to read it all, read up to around the release of div and then start skipping a ton cus everything from then to now have just been a lot of blahblah back and forth. Also Jeb, drowns has never skyped with any of us in talent squad he won't just randomly skype someone with 20 subs to do an interview, ain't no gainer got time 4 dat I wasn't saying Skype, I was saying do the interview in the clan chat lol. I haven't tested anything yet, but I would presume the Xp rate is now up to around 120k-125k Xp/hr (at my speed) based on what I read of the changes. That is without any bonus Xp though, so it'd be even higher if you included it. That said, the update has caused more people to go there, which would have a downward push on Xp rates. Once the Hefin/Elf Course comes out, I'm sure FPF will be obsolete again. Even without a large subscriber base, you still have access to some big markets, such as this forum, Reddit, and the HLF. Also remember that the point of an interview isn't to just be an entertaining read/listen, it's to make information public. Find a player that has something to say and then give them a platform. Ask them questions about all sides of the issue. Honestly, you could do a pretty good interview with that guyone kid. He seems like he has a lot that he wants to say and he's struggling to get people to take him seriously. Give him an opportunity to express his interest in legitimately competing for 200m in all skills and you'll probably have something worth reading/watching, even if that's because he makes an ass out of himself. I like your platform statement, but the problem is there are far better candidates to choose from to host the interview. Suomi or any other big Youtuber would be a far better platform to get one's message out there than a nonamer's Youtube channel. There's no incentive for the interviewee to bother participating. Kr148 might benefit from the interview, but the interviewee would not. His opportunity cost for using Kr148 instead of a big Youtuber is just too large, assuming they even desired to participate in an interview, which I think is already unlikely. Lastly, most of the names mentioned already have their own Youtube channels and a way for them to have their own voice heard. And that's frankly why I myself likely wouldn't bother. What do I get from it? He couldn't even try bribing me with gp because I don't even care about gp; I don't need it for Agility.
  15. I know all of the players you just listed lol. GvD doesn't mind talking, although idk how he talks to random people. Drowns would be a challenge, he won't add you, but you might be able to pull off something in his clan Talent Squad. Paperbag would be the easiest for you to interview. Is your plan to put these interviews on Youtube? If so, do you actually have a subscriber base? You'd have much better luck convincing people to do an interview if you had 20,000 subscribers instead of only 20.
  16. I think RS is unique in the fact that your productivity is very measurable and you can easily determine wasted time. In normal working environments, you constantly have the opportunity for breaks, to get up and walk about, etc. In RS nolifing, you don't have the same luxury. It can be more intense.
  17. So what is the better or best sleep strategy? Don't leave it hanging. The best strategy to avoid burnout is simple, you have to love the game. Micky mouse inner voice isnt going to work im afraid. People generally use one of two strategies. Large periods of awake time, say 30-80 hours in one go, followed by 6-12 hours of sleep, and repeat. I personally find this to be much harder than is necessary though. My personal strategy is to stick to a 24-hour rotating schedule where my awake time and sleep time adds up to 24 hours and where if I want to put in more hours, I decrease my sleep time. This is different from the strategy of just staying up a very large number of hours and then sleeping normally. So, for example, something like 22 hours awake every day with 2 hours sleep every day. How long can you sustain this for though? I think to really plan out your sleeping long-term you need to know exactly how much sleep you need per night to still function the next day without being too exhausted to just crash, which is of course different per person. I do like the idea of always waking up at the same time everyday, structure is important. It's probably not sustainable for more than 2 weeks max. If you want something more long-term, scale it down a bit. It's possible to maintain 20 hours awake, 4 hours asleep for months. 5-6 hours sleep is more bearable and is what Drumgun did for years with occasional periods dropping to 3-4 hours sleep a day, such as when he was setting some of his best records or racing to 99 Divination.

  19. Uberman is a very amateurish strategy. No successful skiller has ever used it with good results. You ultimately end up wasting more time in bed trying to get to sleep than actually gaining Xp.
  20. If you compare the different tick times, surging is still faster. You should also make sure that if you choose to not surge that you don't take the northern route. Doing so is actually slower than the middle or southern route when just running. Surge on other courses is a bigger Xp rate increase than Barb. Good post, I agree. Although the bonus xp/hr from BA was/is a little overpowered, it was obviously nothing compared to the insanity of silverhawk boots. Agility should just be removed from the game now lol it's so retarded. Well if Agility were removed, then all my Xp would go byebye lol.
  21. What methods would you guys recommend using for an account starting at level 1 with little money to get the following levels: 75 Crafting75 Mining75 Construction75 Prayer75 Ranged75 Summoning75 Woodcutting I'm not familiar with the current strategies or game content anymore.
  22. Video I made 2 years ago when EoC came out: It's not just doing it on the last obstacle, you have to take the northern route down the roof too. People have always asked if I could do Agility blindfolded...
  23. Oh, here's some old stuff I found that I had written down. The following stuff I had figured out early on and so I gave a few friends this to help as a starter. Once they mastered these rules, they could learn more strategies that involved sometimes contradicting them. Just build up new knowledge layer after layer. That's the only way I personally was able to handle all the complexity. All of the rules you see do hide the underlying tick data though, so figuring each of these rules out on your own without all of the tick data available in a neat format would be very difficult, if not impossible. And FYI, it's so amazing that charging machines are not worth it anymore, because if they were the complexity would be that much more enormous. While they were worth it, you had to constantly also be on the lookout for their status in various different areas and sometimes take the less efficient route just to grab them. It became very difficult to do in practice since you can only see a limited distance, even after the big widescreen resolution I did. General Rules:- Yellow Room to Blue Room: Always take right path except for West side, where you take left path.- Blue Room to Red Room: Always return the way you came if coming from Yellow Room. If not, the general idea is to head towards the side you would've gone had you come from Yellow Room.- Yellow Room to Red Room: Always go right except for the North side where you go left. Occasionally exceptions may be made on the North and West sides where you may go the opposite direction if the other door is closed.- Red Room to Yellow Room: If there is only one door open to either side of you, head towards that one unless both arrows are in the other direction. If both are open, head towards the direction that brings you closer to the Yellow arrow. Go for Yellow arrow first unless blue is closer.- Yellow Room to Yellow Room: The east side is faster than the west side and the south side is sometimes faster than the north side (E to W) and tied (W to E). If fewer doors need to be opened or if you're closer to a particular side, take that one. The center may be used from E to W or W to E if the next change would cause the opposite side to open.- Ignore the charge machine and the center machine in map. Ticks:- Blue Button: 3 ticks (33-tick/20-second recharge)- Yellow/Blue/Red Machines: 4 ticks- Charge Machine: 10 ticks- Hanging Stones: 6/7 ticks (+1 when running)- Stepping Stones: 7 ticks (+1 when running)- Pipe: 9 ticks (+1 when running)- Boxes: 9 ticks (+1 when running)- Gap Jump: 8 ticks- Gears Jump: 8 ticks- Blue Wall: 12 ticks- Monkeybars: 13 ticks Certain obstacles gave different tick number results depending on if you were standing still next to them before you began moving. So for all of those with +1 when running, just add 1 to get its practical value (you'll never be standing still after all). They are special obstacles that are similar in style to the logs at the Barb and Wildy courses (meaning the share the same code). Basically what you're able to do with these obstacles is actually run up to them, stand still a tick, hop on them, and have it take the exact same amount of time as just clicking on them while running. There's no way to use it to increase your Xp rate directly, but it is nice for doing tricks like picking up items off the ground (which normally costs you a tick minimum) without losing any ticks. :P Many have commonly mistaken the "log trick" at the Barb course as a means of increasing your Xp rate. What they never seem to look at is the speed at which the obstacle is completed. You hop onto the obstacle faster but then it takes longer to complete, resulting in two synced players using different methods leaving the obstacle at the same time.
  24. If I were to go back to FPF today, I'd be able to do it efficiently from muscle memory alone (minus the latest stuff I had improved on). However, I wouldn't be able to improve my Xp rate one bit for a while. During my time gone, I've forgotten all the tick numbers I had memorized. I'd have to refigure out a lot of stuff.
  25. I did an hour-long commentary at FPF. I used to recommend people to mute the video and just watch what I do as I train normally and try to figure out some of my strategies that way. One of the biggest things I always kept in mind as I trained was the number of tick differences between different routes. Going left was 3 more ticks than going right, assuming all doors are open, etc. So you count the doors shut in both paths and change your route accordingly towards the faster one. Or maybe the center route just happened to be open in an optimal way and you add that to your calculations. Maybe the act of opening up the southern door on the east side opens up the center door as well and so you change your plan and hop through the center instead. So you must in a split second decide look at all the doors in your available path and make a mental calculation and click on the route you're going. Over time, after having done this awhile, you start to memorize the decisions you've made in the past for certain doors and it becomes easier to do on instinct. Then on occasions you come to a revelation about a newer way you could potentially go faster and you have to start doing lots more calculations and memorization to get that down as well. FPF is a constant building up of knowledge and skill on top of the old with occasional refinement along the way.
