  1. In regards to the no life thing, I'll give some insight into how I have played over the years. I have 99 all, 102 dung (120 should take me about 3 months once I get 105, assuming I start playing again). I have done every champion challenge minus Spectres. I have 1,200 Chompy Kills, the remaining 2,800 should only take me another 5-6 days of chompy killing @ roughly 150 / hr. I have NOT done the castle wars requirement, which I will imagine would take me quite some time, only because I never liked the game. I have done the majority of all the "smaller" requirements for trimmed cape, and only missing 1 Dungeoneering scroll for the regular completionist small req. I have never once botted, or cheated in any shape or form to advance my character in any way (would never risk this account for anything). So by these standards, I must have absolutely no life, whatsoever. Here is a bit about my life now: - Graduated university with honors every semester, in business (NOT an easy course). - Working a Government job in my field of study full time, plus many days of overtime during tax season (I do NOT play at work). - Engaged after a 6 year wonderful relationship, who also plays Runescape during downtime. - At a healthy weight for my height/age (Few pounds lighter) - Still find time to go for bike rides, run errands, pay bills. All of the above, I also coordinate with multiple hours of Runescape. How? It's called "Time Management". During University, I would do afkable skills such as fishing, woodcutting, etc while studying for exams. While doing homework, I would kill various aggressive champion scroll dropping monsters since it didn't require total attention. When I didn't have homework, or exams to study for, I would do whatever I enjoyed on the game, usually slaying, or random skilling. This "No Life" argument is getting pretty pathetic, especially from people who know absolutely nothing about the person they are making claims about. I would put money on the fact that the majority of them struggled with time management, thus assuming if they can't do it, noone can.
  2. "Dust Devils do NOT drop Dragon Chains"
  3. Tbh, take that with a grain of salt. I find it highly unlikely in the little time this vid has been out, they have ran enough tests to prove it's fake. They are just watching vid and saying "Fake!" because they personally don't believe it to be real, not because they actually know. We'll see though, if it is fake, then damn Svew is the best faker I have seen.
  4. UNBUYABLE ITEMS IS NOT A CONCEPT THAT EXISTS IN RUNESCAPE ANYMORE except blue partyhat and cracker think before you post Thank you for being a smartass. You know what I meant. I meant to say "exorbitantly priced". You think I'm so dumb I don't grasp the concept that items are no longer unbuyable? Just a wrong choice of words. Hey, and you know what? How about you think about how much of an ass you'll sound like before you post. Shouldn't that enter into the thought process just as readily as correcting simple mistakes? stop being a tightass - you are getting bonus xp, of course you are going to be paying bonus gps. also i don't mind being an ass. i can only assume you meant what you wrote because i have nothing else to judge you off of. it's not MY fault that YOU didn't write what you meant. Besides, if anyone remembers the last BXPW, these insanely priced materials crashed to pretty much normal levels before the bonus weekend ever hit. People just buy things out, wait for a few days so they can resell @ mass profit, causing a crash when too many people dump at once. If you want items, wait until March 4th or so, I'm sure alot of materials will be down a significant amount compared to today.
  5. Actually, you start your herb run in Trollheim, and the Juju potion lasts the entire 5 patch run no problem, most of the time you could probably hit HH for the 6th patch before the dose runs out, you should try. Usually, I finish 5 patches before I even get the warning message (You can speed up runs slightly by noting the herbs as grimy vs cleaning them first). I have also noticed Carrion being faster for Ugunes than Draconic, plus you get some Samadens which are amazing for Gold mining in LRC.
  6. Just rebought yellow for 35m junk + Cash. Some thought I overpaid, but I was on w2 for a bit, and one guy was buying for 50m junk + cash and didn't get one for the entire hour or so i was there for, so seems like Yellows may be recovering quite quickly, though we shall see in due time. I have a strange feeling that Phats during FT will be roughly their "Suggested price" within a couple weeks of release, which I hope I am right lol.
  7. Congratulations, you freak of nature you!
  8. I don't get those posts either, and I can say this from personal experience. I play usually 7-10 hours day on the game, and here's what I also do: - Sleep 8 hours per day - Eat, Brush Teeth, Shower, etc. - Do a morning jog almost every day (Though not as much in the Winter, too cold) - In a very long term relationship (approaching 6 years, who also plays RS), See each other almost every day, for almost entire day. - Graduated with honors in university (by playing *almost* the same amount of hours) - Secured a very high paying job with high job security once I have my professional designation in 2 more years - Near max overall (though I only started playing this much recently, otherwise I'd have some 200ms too). - Have a semi social life, though mainly because I don't care for bars as I don't drink, parties kind of end when you're my age, etc. - Don't live in my parent's basement - Not even close to overweight This is such a popular misconception that is purely explained by wise time management. In Uni when I was studying for exams, I'd woodcut with Ivy, fish Rocktails, or cook. Thats how I got 99 Woodcut / Fishing. In class while listening to lectures, I usually killed Dark Beasts, which required virtually no attention. I also learned how to do assignments and study while even doing Slayer, just took some practice. With all of the above, I'd have to say I'm much happier than when I was in High School, even though I didn't play nearly as much. People need to understand other's situations before critisizing them for their living habits. And besides, who are you to tell someone to live their lives the way you deem right? If someone wants to play 20 hours a day, 4 hours of sleep, never socializing, then that's their choice. And I'm sure most logical people here know, that there is very few, if any, of those situations actually on the game at this time. OT: A bit late, but huge gratz on the newest 200m Drumgun! I don't know how you could stand that horrid skill all the way to 200m >.<
  9. Usually I don't complain about updates, but now with the patch notes, you cannot open the Waterbirth barriers alone (with rune throwing axe). Problem is, since the double person doors close right away now, you need minimum THREE people just to get to Rock Lobsters / Dagannoth Kings. It was hard enough finding one person, let alone 2 extra if you want to solo Kings =(
  10. Hmm, then maybe it's possible that Lucien is also at the bottom of Daemonheim, though it is unlikely. I just really feel that the Stone of Jas is the cause of the strange power somehow, but I guess we'll all have to wait and see. Regardless of how it works out, I will stick with my theory of the white bearded man simply being Bilrach disguised in order to get Thok and the rewards guy out of Daemonheim
  11. Ah ok, I guess I mixed up my storylines a bit, but stealing from Lucien wouldn't really mean you'd have to be powerful, as he was already a Mahjarret, it could have been a betrayal, but then again, if he was in Daemonheim for that long, I guess it didn't happen that way :P
  12. My white bearded saviour theory is actually kind of different. My theory is a bit big, so i'll start from the beginning of what I think happened. We all know WGS Part 2 will be coming in the not too distant future, which I think will revolve around someone stealing the Stone of Jas. To make a long story short, I believe we will find out at the end of the quest, that Bilrach stole the Stone of Jas in order to give it to Zamorak after he gets released into the world. Zamorak alone is too weak to cause the havoc he wishes, so he either ordered Bilrach to retrieve the SoJ or Bilrach did it himself. With no place to hide the SoJ, Bilrach created Daemonheim, and brought the Stone of Jas with him to the bottom, which would both protect it, and be right there to give to Zamorak when he is unleashed. Thok and his partner started exploring Daemonheim, and somehow reached the bottom. Bilrach did not want anyone to discover his secret, so he screwed up Thok and his partner's thoughts, and (as he is a Mahjarret) disguised himself as a bearded white man who then took them out of Daemonheim, effectively removing the problem. WGS is the only real RS Lore i payed alot of attention to, so if I'm missing something in my theory due to other storylines or whatnot, let me know, because it's gotten me quite interested now lol. On a side note - I'm looking forward to these Warped Floors now that I'm doing alot more Dungeroneering, and they look spectacular. It's too bad I have to wait until 107 dung for the Primal 2h, but I'll just use Primal Baxe for the time being.
  13. My bad, didn't notice them lol, can lock
  14. http://www.facebook.com/notes/runescape-espanol/proximamente-en-wwwrunescapecom-mmorpg/486903655165 Looks like Warped Floors are on the way! Time to Dungeoneer like mad :D For those who don't like links:
  15. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely try out low alching next time I fish. I figured RC was the best for my effigies, but right now I figured why not get 99 Agility while slaying, as my 200m all goal (Assuming I decide to go for it) won't really start until 99 all. Yes I am, and my TIF name is the same as my in game name. I only have 19m+ Slay exp atm, but I haven't really gone hardcore Slayer until recently. Add on a year end at my firm and it gives me very little time to slay for now. Aka - I wish :P
  16. yep and both these guys should pass Kingduffy by the end of october unless he picks up a faster pace, which seems unlikely. @ signature Nice post and thank you for the feedback. Effigies and assisting them really is the main game-changer in 2010. Off-topic, are you a fellow future accountant? I sure am :P Already graduated, just need to do an extra 2 years to get my CGA. I love being told I can be a CGA after 3 years of college only to find out there's another 2 years and $10,000 left after that... Effigies are the reason I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. I prefer to save all my drops from slayer, as money is not an issue for me, but because of this, my bank space clogs up with all the effigies I gain through slayer, effectively forcing me to use them up before formulating a future plan. For now, I'm just using them to get my agility to 99 and will do the same for my remaining 99s. Only reason I'm not using on rcing is because I'll get 99 purely through assists now. I guess time will tell how that will work out for me (really depends on the amount of effigies I get from now until 200m slayer).
  17. That's 3 zeros too much. ;) Actually, that amount of zeros is correct :P On Topic: In terms of the first to 200m all exp, I really see Zarfot beating out everyone, purely due to how efficient and how well he can multitask. I have tried on countless occasions to do the "High Alch while Fishing" and such methods, but I just can't keep the pace for more than 20 minutes. For that, I can really admire Zarfot's skill in that matter (yes, it takes skill to keep his timing that perfect). I will probably try for this goal one day too, but am too preoccupied with finishing my 99 all, as well as 200m Slay (with attack, str, def, and hp). With going back to school soon to get my CGA, Cooking,Fletch,Wc, or Fish could be 200m'd as well. It's all about managing time effectively, rather than "Omg no life!" (Though I do wish I had the opportunity to no life lol). The assist system really does help with the 200m goals, and I'm sure every one of the top overall is doing that for RC exp as much as possible (seems to me the most efficient skill, unless I'm overlooking something?) Also, thanks from me for the weekly updates Langer. I love reading up on how the top players are doing, and also gives me insight on how I should approach this goal as well. Keep up the good work. On a side note to all lurking top overalls - Keep going! Your persistance can really inspire others to complete their daunting goals and push forward.
  18. Update...switched to Zombies after killing....a lot...of skeletons. Got the Zombie scroll! :D Didn't take too long, at least it didn't seem too long. I got it at the Armoured Zombies. Still trying to find a good place for skeletons. Any recommendations? I got my Skeleton scroll from the skeles in the Yanille Dungeon beside Salarin's herb chest. I'm not sure of many other good spots, as chaos tunnel skeles are too high level and take too long to kill. Just make sure you're on a high population world and the respawns aren't that bad (if not constant). If I'm missing a spot though, would be cool to find out, even though I have 2 skele scrolls somehow already lol.
  19. Hope you're right actually, gives me time to get my Dungeoneering as high as possible before December :P
  20. Not really the greatest month for me, I was really hoping for those warped floors :P Overall though, some good improvements with the Make-X for other players going for 99s, definitely was needed to keep consistent with other Make-X skills. Grandmaster quest means I have to get off my butt and actually finish those Void quests lol. Not looking forward to that, but if it's anywhere near as challenging (yes, I said challenging, and I'm max all combat skills) as killing Nomad was, I may end up loving this quest (It's rare to get real challenges in quests, which is the only time I really enjoy them). Halloween is meh for me, but might prove to be fun. Last Christmas was actually kinda fun so there lies some hope for this event for me. I guess this month gives me my opportunity to finish those last occult floor requirements (only 85 dungeoneering atm) :D
