  1. From the looks of it, Nex seems to be running towards the player, and I'd assume at quite a fast rate, could this be the first boss that we have to entangle/Barrage? I [bleep]ing hope so. From this picture, I'm assuming that Nex has an attack that knocks you back and stuns you.
  2. I can't wait to Pk in DH and not have to risk 15m every death.
  3. Ehh yeah no... Would you like to test it on me? Yes 99.9% of the time I would win... I'll test it if he doesn't :) Alright than  Saying max mage defense makes you immune to magic is like saying wearing full torags makes you immune to melee. With the proper gear, your opponent will still retain reasonable accuracy. Then there's a whole variety of status effects that'll come along with it too. Also, if anything, more melee gear should improve melee attack bonus. Notice that range armor generally improves range offensively, magic armor generally improves magic offensively. Melee armors usually don't have that much of an effect, if any. And before you say "melee doesn't need the attack bonus," hybrids generally have no problem ranging in magic gear. Good ranged weapons offer pretty significant range bonuses on their own, and they go one step farther than melee - all their range strength is derived from their ammunition, and none from their armor. I never said i'm immune to mage attacks, it's just that mage barely has a ko factor by itself. If I were t fight someone in max mage, while wearing max mage defence, I could just run up to the mage and spec with claws. How can you run if you're frozen solid? How can you KO if I'm protected by a light aura for a full minute while your attack speed is halved? How can you hit me if you've been blinded? Just some variables to consider :P Well if food is being used, than I can just outlast your sol spec/ :shades:

  5. How and why is prayer switching cheap? It only prolongs the fight if both people know how to do it well. But that's not true. If it were deemed honorable, trust me, everyone would be an ace in prayer switching. It's not really a divine skill, even though you might think you are divine for mastering it. The fact that people have to take time and learn it shows that it is a skill. I'm not saying it's an amazing skill, I'm just saying it's clearly something that advantages you so why not do it. Because, most people will safe against you and run. It's considered not honorable and it makes the ko ability in a fight drop significantly, making pvp boring.

  7. cool opinion bro can i get a vid of you ss flicking against a tribrid Thanks for the educated response, and no you can't. Then I have no reason to believe that you are right, lol. I don't need you to believe me, computer is to slow to video anyways.

  10. Assuming 50% win ratio, explain how Taco Limey has gotted basically 50+ chaotic mauls and staves at 97 dungeoneering Luck? Taco Limey is over rated, and over hyped. Pretty sure he runs around with a divine now anyways. Plus he dies quite a lot too, but he of course doesn't show deaths in his videos. You want to see a less douchey pker look at sparc mac, he actually has videos where he shows himself using statius and a divine, and being koed by a kid in rune, you can't say that this game isn't luck. I'm not saying luck isn't involved, but you shouldn't say skill isn't involved either. People are able to consistently get over 50/50 win loss ratio even using the same gear. I know for example I am able to do this. And no, SS flick along with mage/melee pray does take skill, xpx. Even if you think it is a small amount of skill, it is not small for the vast majority of PKers The only "Skill" that is really involved is being able to click fast, not really a skill if you ask me. And ss/protect flicking takes barely a day to get the hang of, unless your handicapped.

  13. The same reason safing in the wilderness is looked down upon. It has to do with the runescape combat system itself. It's all based on luck so you need to allow the other person a chance to get lucky while he allows you a chance to get lucky. Runescape doesn't take skill so I chuckled a little bit reading your post. The only way I see Prayers being okay is if your tribridding, hybridding is just stupid with it. And it's not as hard as you say, in my clan we are required to ss + melee flick for corp, and I picked that up within a day.
  14. First of all if your in max mage defence, you will beat a mage every time. Second the simplest fix for Jagex would be that dhide gives a negative melee bonus, it only seems fair since mages and rangers cant wear rune. If this did happen however it would change the game totally and new tactics would be needed for various tasks and bosses.
  15. Imo, seeing as there is no chance in losing anything then you shouldn't gain anything from it either. It's like spinning roulette and if you lose, you get your money back. smite? Most 1-itemers don't bring food with them, so unless they stand around for 20-30 minutes without death, it would be very difficult to smite them out. What they need to do is change the D-Scim special to drop not only protection prayers but ITEM protection prayers. This puts fear that scares people from 1-iteming, rather than block the 1-item mechanic directly. It would also give an interesting twist on Pking in general. Would you use your special bar on a DDS or Kasori to have a higher chance to kill, or try and use a Scim special at the right time for a KO in hopes it drops their item protection. No thanks...rather not lose my rapier to some lucky noob, who spec's with d scim than gets a venge kill.
  16. It seems Jagex is really going to back to their roots and appreciating the older members of the game.
  17. Spoken like a typical skiller. And a wbm  edit: damn it blood^ Spoken like a typical troll. If you brag about planning to PJ, lure, and hunt skillers, you are a [cabbage]bag. And people like that are responsible for giving PKers the bad name that many oh-so-detestable-skillers associate with them. Go back to the RSOF, and take your little buddies with you. It's quite fun to piss people like yourself off.
  18. Yeah, fake according to mods ingame. Seems legit to me...I'm pretty sure mod's get demoted for leaking info, so maybe that's why they say no. That thread on the video is worded more like Jagex's style. I know we have a few mod's amongst us here, so if they could contribute that'd be cool.
  19. Me likey, could we see new rushing videos on this new account?
  20. I'd strongly suspect that you don't have children. If you did, you'd appreciate the heartbreak that a child endures when his items are basically stolen from him. As a parent, it's gut-wrenching to discover that some douchebag has scammed your child out of items he worked so hard to acquire. This is one of the reasons I don't want "free-trade" back. Though my children are all older and wiser now there is a large population of children playing the game who will be taken advantage of by people who consider earstwhile unconscionable acts as valid game tactics, because they can hide their truly despicable nature behind a computer screen ... I remember back to the day when I started this game, and I was just a kid. I got scammed several times and yes while it is painful it gives invaluable advice. I look back on those moments today and I appreciate them. Also, a parent who thinks it is gut-wrenching to have a child taken advantage of, needs to back off a little bit. Give children some freedom, there is more satisfaction in knowing they can do things for themselves instead of having to worry about them for the rest of your life.
  21. I think that they want to do it in a whole package rather than piece by piece. This is going to be like any other large content update where they have to develop it, generate graphics for it, blue box it, and QA it. Based on other content development, it could take upwards of 2-3 months before we see it in-game. The Volcano, Clan wars arena, and other mini-games/quests take up about 20% of the entire wilderness. That is a lot of graphics and coding to re-do. The only way I can see them speeding that up is stopping all current projects, and not having ANY updates in February. Even then people can only do so much at once as far as programing and designing. Just don't get your hopes up for something right away. I wouldn't expect anything for a month or two after the official "confirmation". They might have already developed it knowing all along it was going to happen, and pull it out sooner. If so, it could be out right away after the vote, but I would expect on 2-3 months of development. If it's here earlier, great. 80% of this update is already archived. It's not like there were holes in the wilderness where the mini games are now. They just have to rebuff the returning areas up to the new graphics, and relocate the mini games. I personally think they should just put a portal somewhere, that would teleport you to them.
  22. Skill capes came before the '07 updates so I don't see this changing. That's my point
  23. Yea I totally forgot about achievement capes factoring in here, when I was writing this post.
