11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
My lifeboat is still active, even though a reset occured last night. Maybe you're looking at the wrong ship? Was it always ship specific? I'll take another look.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Earlier on this thread, people were claiming that they/others had said that using their Lifeboats/glasses/treasure of the sea and it had lasted them over/around a week. Well, I used my lifeboat around 2 days ago and it no longer says that it's active. So either someone was wrong, something was fixed, or they only last a "week" where the effect ends at the begining of a Wednesday. Either way, I'm highly saddened that my lifeboat was wasted, since I didn't actually do any voyages I could fail...

I believe ganodermic gloves are better than the barrows gloves, only like 80k as well. Just a small upgrade and also non-degradable. You'd be wrong. Type all items are 9001% better than type specific items. So you'd want to get a Skillcape, Dragon rider boots, and a Berserker ring. Why not just wear void now, since it can be all type armour? Oh wait, it has worse defence than specific set-ups, Green is maging and ganodermic gloves have +25 armour and +15lp over barrows gloves. At the cost of ~100 range and 50 magic defence. And for every other peice of not type all he isn't wearing. Just because void was nerfed doesn't mean everything else was.

Imagine what it would've been at 40% :P. Account would have been instabanned. Jagex would have sent hitmen to kill my family. Seems reasonable. I sent a 24% success voyage out with a bunch of throwaway crewmembers just to get rid of them. The voyage failed, everyone survived. But it took 300 gunpowder from me after saying it took Slate. ???

Mixed up again it's 10 not 20. XP voyages are both 6500 in seafaring and combat and only 2:21 long. Newest captain  Cost me 2500 chimes to recruit her though. I haven't seen the Loyal trait yet, what's that do?

Once again; no, there isn't. Notice my first mate under the Overseer.

One of my crew just leveled up to lv6, so there's the answer to that for you.

The Solidarity trait gives a bonus for each unique member aboard the ship. Unique is defined as being a single type of crewman, like an Eastern Bannerman. So you get the bonus for having one on board, but the second wouldn't count for the bonus.

Jagex; as reviewed by employees.
In reference to the first part of your post, you haven't seen all the other stuff posted on the HLF, this stuff is mild in comparison. He wasn't surprised at the ban, just annoyed that they would outright delete the thread instead of merely hiding a post or two and giving a reason. And he wasn't spamming with it, just reposting when it got hidden since he wasn't given the reason why.

A friend of mine was the one posting it on the HLF several times over, eventually he got forumbanned with no reason why. Of course, it's kind of obvious why. They must really not like this site or something.

Just to point out for you, dealing the most damage is NOT how drops are given now. It is who ever attacks it first. The real question is, does this apply when the first attacker is below 99 slayer on a Gazer...

Nope, far more hidden. It was a line from Emilee in one of the million busy stickies they post in.

15th Nov - Evolution of Combat: Loyalty Shop Sale
On the contrary, I have a suspicion that they are doing such massive discounts because they are planning on shifting all the loyalty shop content over to Solomon's store. It's rather cynical to think so, but they haven't updated it in months and Solomon's store has pretty much replaced it with the exception of aura's. Either the shop was a primer to get us ready for the likes of Solomon or they thought it would have a bigger impact on membership than it did. Either way, it is obsolete, and there is no reason to devote time to it, when it wont make them any money. However, my hope is that the shop will be preserved, even if it is duplicated within Solomon entirely. And I don't think the bank boosters are coming. It sounded like they were doing it on their lunch break, and someone probably told them they couldn't, or the person who was going to code it got moved. Or they could just be waiting until everyone gives up and actually buys them, in which case hold out for like another 6-9 months I figure. The bank boosters 'are' coming, they're just saving them. They decided to 'completely overhaul' the Loyalty system, and were saving the Bankboosters update until they released the overhaul.

I see they finally gave us the option to just instant kill ourselves when we see a shade, save us the trouble.

BTS#26 - Solo Dungeoneering
All those people are wrong, though. A second ammo bind is mostly pointless, since most staves give infinite elemental runes in the EoC.

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
It really is a shame that only a mere fraction of the people crying and moaning that they'll quit will actually you know, quit. Most of them will still be here, ready to cry ruination over the next subtle change Jagex starts work on. Oh, if only we were lucky enough to have people actually go through with their threats.

You died at Bandos with Torva AND Elysian???????? #1 MHer right there I've got a friend who manages to die at Bandos in full Torva/Divine/Completionist cape at least once every other trip. Sometimes twice a trip. I will never understand how.

Castle wars
That would be harsh towards the people who loaf'd several months to get that requirement. And also, CW got unpopular/ruined when SW came around, the 5k Req just brought more (loafing) players to the game. That would assume Jagex actually cared about passed achievements. Hint: They don't.

Tip.It Times - 28th October 2012
While there may be "many others" who enjoyed randoms, I would be inclined to believe there were many more who got nothing but irritated every time the game decided to drag them off to do something they didn't want to. I for one like being left alone to my monotonous nonsense, interruptions absolutely infuriate me. I will however agree that they should've added a toggle instead of complete removal. Some people were actually crazy enough to enjoy them.

'Unfortunate' Lag ?
Shh. Don't give them any ideas. :ohnoes: Uhh, sorry, but I kind of already did... In a way. ;) Quick find code: 309-310-854-63983218

Castle wars
Maybe they have auto-retaliate on? Or killing 138s is just too difficult. I don't know. It's a safe mini-game. Why not simply engage them and at least make them participate? At least then they've nothing to complain about, right? No one bothers to try anymore, because almost everyone loafing is already Comp'd, meaning a simple cast of Venge Group gets rid of the attacker in one click. Multiply that by the ~10-20 people there that can do it...

Behind the Scenes 18: New Challenges, New Security
With how they worded this, it almost sounds like the Challenge system and the Task system are two different entities entirely. Meaning the 700 or so of them they mentioned, will all have to be done one at a time... Sweet, something to do.

Runescape Permadeath Server
Pretty much this. My net isn't the best some times, and makes it hard to enjoy most of the truly fun things left on Runescape due to it. As fun as this sounds, without some kind of safety net for stuff out of your control it would just become aggrevating.
