  1. I would like to reserve Germany please.
  2. I describe what I am doing out loud in a third-person past tense internal monlogue out loud in the style of a gritty thirtys crime drama.
  3. Ah okay, I didn't know what you were talking about.
  4. Icuownage, From what you have said at the moment it sounds interesting, I will almost certainly be playing. What genre will it be?
  5. What is stupid? Why is it stupid? Who were you talking to? Who said anything about playing the game for anything other then fun?
  6. Why don't we just become Russians, I see it as far more fun and it gets a better reward then just sitting around buildling stuff. Edit: I play this game for Britain: [hide][/hide]
  7. Some people just antagonise themselves , otherwise I did the job of lurking for the past month or so. Its good to see that you're okay, Rocco. I was wondering where you were. I second the request of wanting to join a hegemony thread and despite my lack of experience I could have an attempt at making one in 4-7 weeks depending on how things go and such.
  8. I'm interested in playing it again, don't really get the point of the game though.
  9. My friends father made a model of the janitor and hung it from a tree, he said that it was very lifelike Two years ago one unknown leaaver did a massive [cabbage] on the toilet floor, it meant that the toilet had to be closed down one leaver at our school climbed through the ceilings, I am English and it certainly wouldn't be hard to stay after school, there is nothing stopping me from doing so however I don't think my parents would be happy about me staying on the last day of school for unknown reasons. Our teachers search our bags and such on the day we leave so we'll probably have to pack things a week in advance.
  10. I don't want to prolong the argument anymore, Mather. I had a response written up but its not worth prolonging the argument, its just unnecessary and we won't reach a resolution because you're just making personal attacks.
  11. I'm not saying that Hegemony is a fully military game but I feel that Mather's suggestion of completely removing combat from the game would just be tedious and boring, a game should never ban anything; it should just lightly ease you in the right direction. Completely banning military would ruin the game. Runescape is a good example, Runescape probably is a 20-30% combat but if combat was taken away it wouldn't be runescape. Archimage did a very good job of forcing people to create the right balance between technology and military prowess with his system which I have forgotten the name of, I found it slightly overcomplicated but otherwise I think it was definitely a positive thing. Edit: I thought you would've attacked Rocco if you were my ally eliminating my only major threat, because you didn't I just decided that forcing you to attack him would return better results and so you did. Insulting me then telling me that its not an insult doesn't nullify what you're saying. Edit2: How am I crybaby?
  12. Regardless of your opinions about how I play there is no need to be so aggressive. Your post was just a direct personal attack, it had nothing to do with the criticisms about your suggestion. If you are unable to take criticism then don't make suggestions. It don't understand what you are talking about, I enjoyed every minute of that hegemony because there was no number-crunching. I said that the game 'should strive for the enjoyment factor of the players' but if you think differently then you can choose to, if a person wishes to 'play out of their ass' then as long as they're having a good time let them continue. I like going into things all guns blazing. Just to clarify things I just made an agreement to be your ally with intent of using you as a puppet nation, since you didn't comply I attacked you. -- Edit: Just found this which is an absoloutely fantastic piece of kit if you're a spontaneous fisher. and these jump shoes which look so fun.
  13. Mather, If warfare were banned from hegemony I wouldn't play hegemony, full stop. I personally don't believe that hegemony should strive for realism, it should strive for the enjoyment of the players; whether it is unrealistic or not. I personally don't find crunching-numbers and racing for technology fun at all. The other reason you listed for it I don't think is a good enough reason, if you want to punish Zerg rushing then you create a method of penalizing it, you don't ban it all together. The problem with any technology based game is that it will turn out the same as AOEIII always turns out, a person will increase there resource production (the same as getting to the fourth stage) and thus will out power all the other players (buying stocks, increasing technology) by the time the player manages to reach the first players grandeur they will be working at a far greater production ratio and so no matter what the other players do they won't be able to catch up. In effect the game will play out like those kitsch game shows where a person wearing a suit of banknotes runs into the audience and as a result is heaped on-top on with working to middle class people. Icu, I don't know enough abour EUIII to make a significant comment about it. But thanks for your post, you have just given me A FANTASTIC IDEA which I will post when formulated.
  14. Charlie picks up himself and with his gun he charges at the horror, he aims that gun at the chest of the horror, switches to 'all fire' mode and then releases the power of four twelve-guage shotgun blasts from his hands.
  15. I gave a hat to my friend, he says that he needs it and says that he'll pay it back. A week later I ask for it back. "I've sold it" FML (want a frontline video recorder)
  16. I'm just going to cut the argument short here.
  17. Its completely irrelevent. You banned me because I built things that you didn't like. a citybuild server should be creative but as it seems you are completely incapable of letting others do anything but the rigid things that you want them to do. What is the point of having a citybuild server? If you're not going to allow me to make anything; I had built on what looked like flat unused ground to me but you logged on and told me that it was your land and thus you chose to delete my work, I was then educated by you about how to use the //wand tool, you then scalded me for building a wall with it and removed my OP. I tried to avoid confrontation, I said that I wouldn't build on your land and build something in the water: I suggested a lighthouse. Instead of taking that as a request to build something of my own you built a lighthouse of your own to prove that I wasn't needed. I don't even understand why you're hosting a server if nothing can be done by anybody else. Instead of forcing your will upon me maybe you should've given me a suggestion of what I should do to help expand this city but instead you were to busy showing your dominance, telling me that a lighthouse could easily be done with the //brush tool and that I wasn't needed. I chose to build the small 6x4x2 room underground out of view or accessability to anybody, you weren't aware of it until you teleported to me. It wasn't harming anybody and it was the only way that I could ensure that I would be able to get back to the city if I died. Today Ouyso was killed and he had to look for a good five to ten minutes (with his flight tool) to actually get back to the city, you had built the city so far away from the spawn point that I needed an area to go if I respawned. I chose an inconspicuous place that you would not have even noticed if you didn't tele-follow me. You decided to destroy my bed and torches despite the fact that they were completely invisible to anybody observing. If you felt that my Banter was going a bit to far then you should've said that you felt uncomfortable with it; I have been known to be off-colour at times. If you didn't choose to mention it at the time then you shouldn't bring it up later as an excuse for your failiure as an Admin.
  18. You can't treat people the way you do without being accused of being a [bleep]. According to: "Griefing is the act of destroying large or otherwise very noticeable portions of other people's creations on a multiplayer Creative or Survival server."
  19. Lets make this clear, I didn't dig straight through the road, I dug straight through a piece of flat terrain which you had described as 'foundation' and then filled up any holes that I had made. There was no visible signs that the road had been destroyed in anyway. Well, assuming that I can only use sandstone and that to build anything substantial I would need at least sixty-four blocks I would find that very difficult seeing as you removed my commands for choosing to build a wall. Brick is hard to obtain, moreso because I cannot access commands, cobblestone requires long mining. If you wanted to build a project then you could've made that clear, domineering over a person and telling him that a large majority of the blocks in Minecraft are dissallowed isn't going to produce productive results. I hand built half a house out of stone, you just chose to delete it all because you didn't like it.
  20. Don't build a wall, don't build stairs, don't build ladders, building a room for yourself is forbidden even if it is completely invisible, if there is no OP then you will be stranded miles away from the actual city, don't build out of cobblestone, out of gravel out of anything else but sandstone. Accessing most area's is long-winded but ladders are forbidden, "Its my server, my rules". The server is less of a game of minecraft and more of a game of sit and don't DARE do anything.
  21. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Outdated/Water_Elevator
  22. It is impossible to traverse the city any other way.
  23. Charlie fires all bullets into the lift if it opens.
  24. Mather, I can't teleport back because you deopped me and my bed has been destroyed, please can you login and teleport me back. I drowned in an elevator, I haven't built plumbing for the elevator but don't remove it. Edit: interesting to note that the stairs that I started building; the ones that you seemed to have a problem with were completely finished when I was back.
  25. What the hell Mather!?
