I mean that the backgroud is transparent. There is no "white box" or any color box behind the eye and text. You can see the board color whether it's blue black or green there. Providing your browser can show it correctly.

For those who can't see it right, does it look like this? This is what it would look like with no alpha layer.

You can, if your browser can't show png format correctly...both my Internet explorer and Safari can show it just right. (Yes, I'm on a mac).

Closer to impossible to read..

When you have the animation made (you have some set of frames). Use the File>save optimized as... command. To see how big the signature size will be before saving use the Internet Explorer icon in the tool bar.

The program is called PhotoShop 7 and it's for advanced graphic makers (the ones who know what .png is :wink: ).

Kngkyle...You know anything about graphic formats? .png is much more advanced format than .gif and supports 24 bit transparency (so you have a full aplha layer at your disposal). My picture is transparent in the edges on the type/lines/"eye". If your browser is too old to show the png correctly that doesn't mean it is not DONE correctly. It works on every theme (i use subsilver and he uses sublime, why do you even need more proof).

Kngkyle..It is transparent and it is transparent on every board theme (in black theme you dont even see the type and the lines at all, bc they are black with aplha layer)

All the lines and the type is antialised so the edge pixels are transparent. doh.

png rocks :wink:

Or make a .png file like my signature below...the lines are not "edgy" and work with any backround color. :wink:

Was going for a kind of fresh new look. I came out of the closet (or box at least) and I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

WarCraft 3 begin sequence with ugly text and way over size.....

when i save with "save for web" command and look at the information for the file it may say something like "size: 35kb (28 546 bytes)" and the 28kb is the one that PS told me.

I third time with the diagonal lines. It's cool as usual, but I hope you come up with something "newer" next time! :D

Ooooh, nice siggy. I'm not liking the animation this time around though and I prefer the old sig over this one. Sure you can do text animations in Flashmx but the problem is you have to save it in GIF which expands the filesize compared to flash.

It looks nice, but it's way over the limits.

Well, they all look kind of horrible (which you shouldn't take as a personal insult since you didn't even make these (?) ). I'd go with the #4 since it's the most neutral looking.

I think anything that gets better when blurred was negative in quality to begin with.

Since this wasnt a PM I'm allowed to comment too. I think it wont be allowed since it would create a greater need to scroll the board. If everyone had such a sig the change would be considerable.
