Is melee a buyable skill?
Well, in one way or another, you can get every skill up for free except Summoning I think. It would just take a long time to do things like cut all your logs, mine all your ess and ore, convert all your wood into planks via magic, etc. The source of the items does not affect the cost of training. Even if you get all the items yourself, you're still losing wealth. When you are collecting raws, your wealth goes up and when training a secondary skill, your wealth goes down (up with RC). You can't consider the items that you collect yourself worthless.

No more fletching guild? /:
Even though you are right, it's not an actuall guild, people used to call it that as a nickname obviously because it was the best place to train fletching. How it can be the best place if you need to right click to bank? One click banks exist, as I have already mentioned in this thread.

Balancing Weapons and Armor.
You have forgotten magic. It's supposed to be a part of the combat triangle, but now it is more like a secondary combat skill like prayer and summoning. Attacks: -32 max damage at level 99 isn't enough for KOing. -The freezing effect is useless compared to KO ability. Why freeze for 20 sec if you can kill in less than 5 sec with range or melee? -The freezing effect works only for fleeing players who don't even make an attempt to attack you (Fist of Guthix, skiller killing) Armour: -Even the best armour is only similar to adamantite armour. Melee can KO mages easily, even though they aren't supposed to (combat triangle). -You are very lucky if you can farcast through the entire fight -When you are farcasting, you can be jumped at any time by other players even in single areas -The freezing effect is useless against jumpers. That's where high level armour would be most important. You can't just paranoidically freeze every player near you. Inventory and costs: -Runes take up the space that other classes can use for food. -Every time you cast a spell, you lose runes. Meleers don't lose anything and archers get most of their arrows back.

Screw Merchanting Clans.
Actually, Price manipulation IS Illegal. Sadly, it isn't against the RS Rules, but it is Illegal. Investing isn't illegal. Of course you can call it price manipulation if you want. OPEC does real price manipulation and I don't have heard anyone calling OPEC illegal.

Nothing wrong with summoning.
Combat familiars are useless, because it takes so long time before they attack. You could use the call button, but in PVP that can result in getting KOed, because you can't eat while you are calling the familiar.

No more fletching guild? /:
There is no fletching level requirement at the Yanille bank, so you can't call it a guild. I got my 99 fletching at the left click bank chest in the Lumbridge castle basement.

Advertisement Blocking
I don't think the advertisers pay per click. More likely they pay for the ad space.

Mage needs an overhaul!
Remember that the ancient magic combos are just graphical illusions. Some spells just have an animation delay and some don't. You're not hitting higher with the combos, unlike with melee and ranged specials. The magic combos are similar to lag combos. You lag and suddenly you see 4 damage bubbles on your enemy. Or, you are walking and lag. Suddenly you start running fastly but no energy is used. So, are d claws just an 'illusion'? Or DDS? I've seen clips of mage combos effectively hitting at the same time, faster than DDS. It's not just graphical, the actual damage hits also arrive at the same time. You can't eat in between them. D claws, DDS and other specials are not illusions. Magic combos are. Jagex could just remove the delay from all of the spells and the resulting damage would still be same but you would see the damage separately. There is a time between all attacks. You just can't hit instantly after your previous hit with non-special attacks. The time used for the spell animation counts as the time between attacks. No extra hits done with the combos. Animation delay is not used in the special attacks. The specials really hit two times in the same amount of time used for one normal attack. Magic combos: you use the time required for two attacks to deal two damage bubbles non-combo: -----hit|-----hit ******combo:-----hit|hit----- Double-hit special attacks: you use the time required for one attack to deal two damage bubbles two specials and two normals: -----hithit|-----hithit|-----hit|-----hit

Bring back "Oh dear, you are dead" screen
Because the black screen is cooler than a chat message.

What happened to Torstol?
If it's a bug, it will be impossible to buy them. If you're able to buy them, it is not a bug.

Fletching, firemaking and cooking - Skillcapes of dirt?
Why not make the money at the Karamja banana farm and buy the ingredients, if using slower methods is more prestigious?

Bring back "Oh dear, you are dead" screen
Jagex should bring back the fading black death screen. A single line in the chat screen is too small and easily hidden.

Mage needs an overhaul!
You sound like compfreak #2. What strategy (apart from using fire blast) is he going to use? He's already binding. Oh, and this thread is already in Rants Running around any obstacles. Experienced magers can kill a meleer without taking a hit, with a little luck as well. Yeah, mages need real life skill (trickery and graphical illusions such as ancient magic delayed+delayless spell combos) to kill, melee does not need, therefore magic is underpowered. Even a non-experienced meleer can kill a mage easily. One or two dds/claw specials are enough - mages are almost defenceless against melee. Mages can kill meleers only if they're foodless and a farcaster can be jumped at any time by other players. Magic max: 32 (one shark can negate most of the hits) Ranged max: 48+48=96 (average player can be killed in one special hit, it doesn't even need to hit the max as the average player's hp is much below 96) Melee max: 110 or something like that Someone might say that max does not matter, but yes it does. If your max hit is higher, your average hit will be higher too.

Herblore going profitable again?
It's not even potential money, it's actual money, just in a different form. Item equals money. If you pick an item that is worth 5k, you'll basically pick 5k of money. You can exchange them freely at GE. Also, the items you gather yourself are not free. You're paying in TIME.

Runescape crashing for me?

What would it take to kill the Runescape Economy?
Removal of player vs player content (demand) or skilling (supply) would kill it.

If 99 str is so common, should I feel proud to get it?
99 Strength is common because it is one of the most useful skills. 99 Herblore is rare because it is completely useless and wastes a lot of wealth. That kind of thinking (in the quote) is a result of RuneScape becoming CapeScape, where skills are trained for the capes only and not for the real rewards.

Quest cape and cape rack
Why the heck I can't put my quest cape to the cape rack in POH if I haven't completed all quests? The point of the costume room is that you don't have to waste bank space for costume, but for the quest cape I'll have to waste it. The rack doesn't even show capes for others, so there is no reason for this limitation. But if I just keep the cape in the rack, it isn't thrown out when new quests are released. This proves the reasonlessness of the limitation.

Looking at people buying their XP sorta makes me wanna cry..
Do you realize that you're making the profit from mining and losing with smithing? The source of the raw items does not affect the loss from the secondary skill. You can hunt or runecraft for the ores too. You can mine about 250 coal per hour at the mining guild. That's about 45k/hour. Hunting red chins makes about 250k/hour so you will get about 1400 coal in a hour. That's why DIY is stupid. If you want to DIY because of the challenge, that's OK, but wouldn't it be a better challenge if you made money at the Karamja banana farm and bought the raw items with that money?
