Trade Limit
Accounts that are paid with stolen credit cards won't survive for long enough time to become very high level and complete all quests. RWTers who don't use stolen credit cards are not a problem.

Training useless Skills
That's children's logic. In reality you are still losing. Actually, that is pure fact. Since you lost nothing in the gaining of the ingredients, there is no negatives in the expenses column. A reduced pure profit is still a pure profit. Time = Money. You use time to gather the ingredients, therefore you lose money too. Killing aviansies (and using the money you get for the ingredients) is using the time more efficiently than picking snape grass from the ground or killing chaos druids. Farming is a different thing because you aren't using much time for it, but it is still better to sell the herbs, so herblore is still useless.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Which no one will notice, because that's how they always are. And since they provide no revenue, Jagex could care less how many quit  The fact is that all RS players advertise RS to their friends. Some of those friends start playing and some of them become members, so yes, F2P gives Jagex indirect revenue. If the F2Per quits due to boredom, he will tell his friends how boring RS is, and his friends won't start playing. If they won't start playing, they won't become P2P either. The majority of RS players are under-aged. If you are under-aged, you can't just become a member. You must have a permission of your parents first and some parents are against pay to play games.

Training useless Skills
That's children's logic. In reality you are still losing. Ranarr weed is worth 6815 gp, so picking it up is the same thing as picking up 6815 gp in cash or some other item that is also worth 6815 gp. You can swap them at GE. If you pick up a ranarr weed, snape grass (342) and a vial of water (79), you have picked up 7236gp worth of wealth. (That's the same thing as picking up about 3 addy bars from aviansies, which is faster than picking those ingredients.) When you turn them into a prayer potion, you only have 6739, so you lost 497 gp worth of wealth, even if you collected the items yourself. The origin of the ingredients (bought or picked yourself) does not change the loss or profit you are getting. PS. Time = money = items = XP, so why not use the fastest money making method you have and buy all the stuff needed to train other skills rather than slowly collecting all items yourself?

Is magic too weak??
Max hits: melee - 110 (or something like that) ranged - 48+48 magic - 32 Mages have to use lots of inventory spaces for runes, which the other classes can use for food. 32 max damage is not enough to KO, so the mage has to make the meleer to use all his food (one shark can negate the barrage in most cases). However, before the mage has managed to do this, he has most likely been KOed by the meleer. For all players who think magic isn't even supposed to work in 1vs1 combat: Magic is supposed to be a part of the combat triangle, which means it should work in 1vs1. Currently it is just a support skill similar to prayer and summoning, so Jagex is lying about the combat triangle.

Do you think melee is balanced with range?
Mages are beaten by both classes. Both rangers and warriors have 1-hit methods, so they are pretty balanced. Mages don't have any 1-hit methods.

Training useless Skills
It's better to sell the ingredients you have. You'll get more money. The most stupid thing you can do is collecting the ingredients on purpose. It's actually faster to collect the money by high level methods (killing aviansies or god bosses, double nat rcing) and buy the ingredients.

What is the cost of a F2P server?
You should also remember that almost nobody would become members if there was no free version.

6th April 2009 - Windows downloadable client
Why Jagex uses misleadingly the words "downloadable" and "RuneScape client"? That program is not a download of RS, it is just an IE based browser with runescape.com as homepage. You can use it to load any website by dragging a desktop icon onto the window. If you use the signed applet, RS will be permanently downloaded and installed to your computer's hard drive regardless of what browser you use. (%WINDIR%\.file_store_32 and %WINDIR%\.jagex_cache_32) Jagex should add an option to launch the RuneScape CLIENT from command line with java[Caution: Executable File], without any browsers.

Wow, cool username! game

Without F2P there would not be RS at all. Nobody would pay anything for a "stupid java game with bad graphics" without getting addicted to the game for free first.- The lost city: Arposandra
Remember that Glouphrie knows illusion spells. He turned evil spy creatures into cute creatures, for example. I think the Arposandrans are using daeyalt ore from Meiyerditch (radioactive?) to mutate the terrorbirds and tortoises. The poison waste could come from the refinery process. There is also mutated bloodvelds below Meiyerditch. Evidence:- Shockingly awful grammar
It's the native speakers who can't write correctly, since there is no rules how to write a spoken word or pronounce a written word. Fite - fight, colonel - kernel, island - iland (why there is an "s") etc. Non-native speakers learn English from books, therefore they will write words correctly but pronounce badly.- Magic Vs Melee
The max hit of ice barrage is 30, so you can "eat through" most of the spells easily using sharks and ko the mage with dds during the cooldown time of the freezing effect.- pvp affecting ge
There is shortage because prices are controlled by Jagex (the 5% limit). The claims that the prices are controlled by players is just propaganda. Proof: when prices are correct, supply and demand are both equal so there is no shortage or oversupply. Everything except rare items are renewable and easily accessible for everyone, so the only thing that can cause shortage is price control. When demand increases, price increases which makes supply increase. The 5% limit makes the price unable to rise enough, so the supply won't increase enough to meet the demand.- Armadyl Guardian
One ancient page mentions Glough and Arposandra in Gnomish language. "Laufata ki Glough ki Ta Quir Priw Undo eso, tolly, gnomo kar is Glough hamo sarko pro Arposandra Qua!"- F00D!
It's caused by the 5% price limits in GE. Completely Jagex's fault. Removing the limit would solve the problem instantly.- Jagex announces the most challenging quest to date.
I think the quest will be a combined sequel of MEP2, The path of Glouphrie, Monkey madness, The forgettable tale of a drunken dwarf and Legacy of Seergaze. Some evidence: Monkey madness / Glouphrie connection: -the names Glough and Glouphrie are very similar Glouphrie / Mourning's end connection: -lots of elven crystal stuff (disks, chimes and saw) are used in the Glouphrie series -the poison waste in the elven forests was created by Glouphrie Glouphrie / Red Axe connection: -revealed in the The forgettable tale of a drunken dwarf quest Red Axe / Drakan connection: -the daeyalt ore mined from the Meiyerditch mine is transported to a "big underground refinery city" (Keldagrim) according to the slave miners Mourning's end / Drakan connection: -the dwarf near the death altar mentions blood talisman accidentally -the mine cart examine text in the mourner cave mentions/mentioned daeyalt ore- Why Junk Is An Issue
Solution: Get rid of the 5% limit from GE. It is not necessary and it actually helps real world trading.- Merging of the Elf and Vampyre Quest Arcs - Proof - ME III?
The daeyalt miners tell that the ore goes to a refinery in a big underground city. Very likely Keldagrim or some other city built by Red Axe. Red Axe is revealed to be trading/cooperating with Arposandra (Glouphrie). Elven crystal items are used in the Glouphrie quests, and the entrance of the Arposandra sewer is in the elven area. I'd guess that the ore is used to make terrorbirds and tortoises "warped". Glough, Glouphrie. Very similar names. Ivandis Seergaze, Ivan Strom (I Vanstrom), Ivan (in Burgh de Rott), Iban (Underground pass). EDIT: the dwarf at death altar ruins talking about blood talisman ("Pretty please with a blood talisman on top").- Junk Trading: Acceptable, Practical Practice?
The RuneScape players are not under mind control, so Jagex can't say that an item is worth 30 millions even though it is really 60 millions, unless they make an NPC shop sell it for that amount of money. For players it will be worth 30 millions RS money plus 30 millions converted into real money, if junk isn't available. Otherwise it would be impossible to buy that item. The only correct way to stop junk trading and real money compensations is removing all price caps from GE. The caps only help (and force) real world trading. Since all trades are completed with random players, removing the caps will not make real world trading possible. By the way, the price of an item is correct when supply and demand are equal (for example 100 sellers and 100 buyers). The price is obviously incorrect (too low) if there is 10 sellers and 200 buyers.- Self-Sufficiency vs. Bought Skills
Self sufficiency is inefficiency in most cases. Instead of mining coal yourself, you can use that time for a better money making method and buy much more coal in the same amount of time. If you think that you are not losing any wealth by being self sufficient, you are fooling yourself. You will lose the same amount of wealth when training e.g. herblore whether you collect the ingredients yourself or not.- Rabid Jack = Voldemort
Nothing is original. Voldemort (and Grindelwald) are based on Hitler and other tyrants. The Hitler references in the seventh book are so obvious (muggle-born wizards or "mudbloods" being sent to Azkaban concentration camp, etc).- Thorgel and blood talisman
Can someone post a picture of Thorgel speaking about blood talisman (Mourning's ends part 2 quest)? - 3rd April 2009 - Forums for High level F2P'ers!
