  1. I don't think smithing should be made profitable (impossible). Instead, there should be some untradable rewards that give advantage over people without that smithing level. For example, only people who have level 70 prayer can get the combat boost from the Piety prayer. It's not possible for players with level 1 to buy and use the prayer. Someone with level 99 smithing has currently no advantage over people with level 1.
  2. Would RuneScape be better if the ability of having personal wealth was removed (communism)?
  3. The point of market is the freedom of playing. If you want to train herblore, you are not forced to kill monsters that drop herbs. You can also hunt chinchompas for the herbs or kill monsters that don't drop herbs but drop other valuable items. Summoning is a skill that forces you to grind on charm dropping monsters.
  4. You can't just "get" hacked in RS. You must LET the "hacker" to "hack" you (downloading and executing untrustable programs, telling the password, using too easy password, playing on a public computer, etc...).
  5. If you have lower stats, you are a noob. If you have higher stats, you have no life.
  6. It's not the experience that is valuable (talking about herblore, smithing and other similar skills). It's the skillcape. People train these skills just to buy the skillcape or for boosting total level. The experience itself is worthless. Everything you can do with these skills can be bought (from cape buyers) for cheaper price than by making. Raw items can be sold for higher price.
  7. The combo effect is an illusion because it appears to hit more than non-combo, but in reality it hits the same damage per time as non-combo. delay-30-30-delay (Combo, 60 damage.) delay-30-delay-30 (Non-combo, 60 damage in the same amount of time used. The delays need to be counted too.) Yes, it's the exact same DPS. It halves attack speed and doubles the max. But like I said; that's (roughly) the same as when comparing a whip to DH. A huge hit from the greataxe is not an illusion, no? The special set effect damage of greataxe is higher than the normal damage of it, therefore it is not an illusion if only the special (full set) and normal attacks (non-full set) are compared. The point is that combo magic is as (under)powerful as non-combo magic. Comboing creates only more hassle.
  8. As said before: when you collect the items, you gain wealth and when you train herblore, you lose wealth. There is simply NO WAY to train herblore without losing wealth. Remember you can also keep or exchange the items for something else. By doing every McJob yourself, you will ALSO lose the potential wealth (items) you would have gotten by more efficient ways of collecting wealth.
  9. The combo effect is an illusion because it appears to hit more than non-combo, but in reality it hits the same damage per time as non-combo. delay-30-30-delay (Combo, 60 damage.) delay-30-delay-30 (Non-combo, 60 damage in the same amount of time used. The delays need to be counted too.)
  10. How much you can get money and experience per hour by chopping magic trees (level 99)?
  11. Magic's maximum is 62, and that also freezes and halves your enemies attack speed. Melee CAN hit 110, but not in PvP. As shown in my Combo Charts, most Spell Combos deal around 24-30 damage ON AVERAGE. A whip does around a 20-25 average damage, plus, if frozen, can't hit, or KO the magician at all. The triangle is fine. Using melee or range I have been able to equal my clan wars KC like when I do with Magic. The damage and effects are devastating. You can't just auto-cast ice burst and expect great things. Spell combos are useless illusions, as you use the time for 2 spells to deal 2 hits. With DDS special you use the time for 1 attack to deal 2 hits (there is no initial delay in DDS special). Let's say you hit two 24s with a combo. During the casting of the spells (including all delays) your opponent eats 2 sharks which reduces the damage done to 8. If you hit two 24s with a DDS special, your opponent can eat once and you still have damaged the opponent for 28 HP. The comboes would be useful only if you could hit the opponent two times without the initial delay. [/hide] You do realize that, in PvP, it is better to have more damaging attacks at once, then two separate attacks? That is because your objective is to get your opponents hp to 0 despite and healing they might do. The two attacks together might kill your opponent, so they cannot eat again, as opposed to using just one type of spell, when they can eat between both. Without comboes: hit-eat-hit-eat or eat-hit-eat-hit With comboes: eat-hit-hit-eat If the Combo works, they won't get the eat that second time after. They will each 0 HP before they can eat. That's the point. You're going to kill people with ~60 damage? Only going to work with pure mage. Normal characters that a level 94+ mage can kill have over 80 (remember the combat level limitations). PJing doesn't count as wounded characters are easier to kill anyways.

Without comboes: hit-eat-hit-eat or eat-hit-eat-hit With comboes: eat-hit-hit-eat Therefore, the comboes only help if the opponent can't eat before the combo hit because he has full health. Usually the opponents of people with 94+ magic have over 80 hits so even if you are lucky to hit max with the combo, he's not going to die and can eat before the next attacks. Anyways, the usage of comboes is too hard (requires exact timing and laglessness) compared to melee and ranged special attacks, so magic remains underpowered.

  14. You're forgetting the law of supply and demand. If everyone had the same opinion, Saradomin brews would be worth more than its ingredients. Because of skillcape, replacement for the party hats and the only reason (other than total boosting) to get 99 herblore, some people will flood the market with potions and that's enough to feed the market. There is no untradable high level potions, so a character with level 1 herblore is as good as a character with 99. If an untradable "mega potion set" was added, herblore would be actually useful and not just for show off. Let's say mega magic potion level 80 (increases spell damage too), mega ranged: 85, mega defence: 90, mega attack: 95, mega strength: 99. So, criticism means bashing for you. You should remove the information about not losing wealth if you DIY, because it is false. You will lose as much wealth whether you DIY or not, as I said in an above message.
  15. Magic requires skill (trickery) but melee and ranged don't require as much, therefore magic is underpowered. The amount of skill required should be equal for all classes. A skilled player will usually beat unskilled players. Because magic is so weak, the amount of skill needed is so much that it is better to stick with more powerful melee and ranged. Of course it is easy to kill (lower level) melee players who are only trying to flee and don't even make an attempt to attack you, and you get lucky to not be jumped in middle of the fight (farcasters can be jumped even on single area).
  16. False. Again, see the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 and Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. Basically, if they can ban members without reason, they are in reality selling nothing while claiming to sell a game. That is called fraud. The manufacturer (Jagex) is responsible of the sold product (membership credit) being not defect. It cannot be excluded by the terms and conditions. For every member ban there MUST be a valid reason. Otherwise Jagex is committing fraud (an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual) which is a serious crime that can result in jail sentence. I suggest anyone who is a member and has been banned for no reason to contact the consumer protection authorities. If the authorities tell that Jagex is wrong, and Jagex doesn't still do anything about it (refunding or fixing the defect product), you should send a crime report to the police or directly sue Jagex. __________ The part "we may stop an account for any reason" has been removed from the T&C long time ago, most likely because police, court or some other authorities have told Jagex that it is illegal.
  17. I'd like to see you making saradomin brews with 65 herblore. About the DIY.Some people prefer to gather the items themselves because it gives them a much greater satisfaction. Most people play for fun, which comes from doing things yourself rather than do the same thing many times over. You can buy saradomin brews from the GE (requires level 1 herblore) and it's cheaper than the ingredients. The amount of potions capegrinders make is enough to feed the market. About my criticism of DIY. It's about people who think DIY is smart ("as you're not losing any money"). In reality, DIY is not smart and you're losing the same amount of money by non-DIY. If you think DIY is fun, that's OK. It just isn't smart economically.
  18. The source of the raw items does not affect the cost of training herblore or any other secondary skill. Even if you collect all the items yourself, you are still spending wealth. When you collect items, your wealth goes up. When you train herblore, your wealth goes down. The profit comes from collecting the items. Herblore makes you lose wealth. You could just sell all the ingredients and get much more money. However, there are much better ways to collect wealth. Herblore is totally useless after 65 (requirement for While Guthix Sleeps). DIY = inefficiency. Why do something that makes 50k/hour if it's possible to get 500k/hour and buy the raws (you'll get 10x amount in the same time). If you can get 500k/hour, you can get a little bit less than 7000 eyes in hour from GE.
  19. This doesn't increase the powers of magic at all. It stays underpowered. You can use magic only as a secondary (support) skill, just like summoning and prayer. Trying to use it as primary attack is suicide. 1. Damage stack illusion If you use a magic combo, you may see two hits at same time. However, you are still using the time for two attacks (remember to count the time used for the slow spell) to hit the opponent two times. With a melee or range double hit special you are using the time for one attack to hit the opponent 2 times. With a special attack you do not need to delay to deal the next hit immediately. slow spell: ----hit fast spell: hit---- combo: ----hit|hit---- two slow spells: ----hit|----hit (No difference from the combo, except the timing of the damage. Both options let the opponent eat about two times.) normal melee attacks (DDS): 1hit---|1hit---|1hit--- special melee attacks(DDS) : 2hit---|2hit---|2hit--- (You can eat about once during a special or normal attack.) 2. Other flaws Magic combos require perfect timing. Melee and ranged specials require just clicking the special bar. When using combos you need to click spell, find the target (hard if it's crowded) and click it. With specials you just click the spec bar. When using combos you are focusing away from eating more than with special attacks. This can get you killed. Also, you'll need to bring more kinds of runes, which reduces the amount of food you can carry.
  20. Actually it is more like a "second beginning quest" of the series. It can't be a sequel, as it does not require the previous quest (Muspah). A sequel quest must require the previous quest because otherwise people could do quests in wrong order. The Mystery of the Mahjarrat series will actually be a series of series, which will be combined later.
  21. They had reason to believe he had broken the rules, and as such, has breached the terms to which he agreed. They'll have to tell the evidence to the user. Otherwise the defectness of the product is Jagex's fault and a refund or fixing the product for free is required. Even if you agree to the terms, the above mentioned laws cancel them. Since I am not banned from the game, I don't really care about this. I'm just trying to help.
  22. RuneScape is not a game for babies who can't accept loss. The fading black screen is already used in quest cutscenes. If you lag when you die, it's the loading of the respawn place that lags you. Not the blackening screen.
  23. Dunno about English laws, but accroding to the Finnish laws a member account banned for no reason would be a product that broke before expected. Jagex would be required to prove that the product was broken by the user or fix the broken product for free or refund the membership money. If you were a member and you think you have been banned for no reason, you should contact the consumer protection authorities. Jagex have it covered quite clearly in their terms and conditions, which you agree to. In it, it states that your account is property of Jagex limited. If they feel you have broken rules, you have agreed that you are NOT entitled to a refund. Seriously, people need to quit being so stupid. Jagex have covered their [wagon] well. And yes, I have gone through it multiple times. I was bored so ended up trying to see if there were and obvious loopholes for reasons I have forgotten. Terms and conditions are null and void if they are illegal. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfair_Ter ... tions_1999 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfair_Con ... s_Act_1977 According to these laws, If you have paid membership, the product should be expected to work for that time unless it is broken by the user. If they ban an account for no reason, they must also refund the paid money.
