  1. Getting scammed is your own fault. Stop whining and check the second trade screen next time.
  2. Most of RS updates are designed for noobs.
  3. Also, it's bs that picking (common) berries from spawns is faster than growing the bushes. I think Jagex should remove the spawn cap from the fruit trees and bushes (currently one bush or fruit tree can only grow 6 fruits, no matter how long you wait).
  4. Those messages are advertisements.
  5. The ad makes me unable to play without trickery. I click the play game link and nothing happens because the ad already uses all the cpu power. The ad doesn't limit cpu usage, so it uses 100% in any computer.
  6. Being a member, there shouldn't be any ads for you to report? The front page, server select page and f2p server pages are always full of ads, whether you are a member or not.
  7. I have reported one 100% cpu hogging ad to Lagex and all I got was auto response: "Unfortunately, due to the massive growth in popularity of Runescape and the increasing number of queries that brings, we have not been able to keep up, and are not able to offer a personal response this time..." I am a member.
  8. Only Internet Explorer supports RS sounds.
  9. Jagex's definition of high level is like 40.
  10. It would make magic pointless if you could snare with the cheaper classes too.
  11. When you are selling items like rune essence, flax or bow strings, always sell only 28 or less. If you want to be extremely n00bish, sell them in item form. When you see someone buying rune ore, try to sell him/her rune essence. If someone is buying full dragon, try to sell him/her full dragonhide. When you get a dragonhide kill in wilderness, claim that you got full dragon kill. Say "everyone who is over lvl x has no life".
  12. Try emptying the RS folder. %windir%\.file_store_32
  13. IE has some security holes that are features, such as ActiveX (simple "yes" click can run an executable program) and browser helper objects (can be used to bypass firewall). Viruses Infections Spyware Trojans Adware
  14. Common sense is the only thing you need to protect your account from hacking. Getting hacked is the victim's own fault.
  15. I don't PK. Also, this wouldn't help meleers one little bit against ancient magicks, as they are still stuck in the same place with the ice spells. I do think that meleers that can't afford a whip should have a better chance against rangers, however... melee can move against ancient magicks. 15 seconds is about 4 spells, and then theres a 1 spell in between before you can get frozen again, so you can hit 3x before they take a step back. hardly staying in the same place at all. or do it the easy way and bring a bow + hides. no good ranger can lose to a mage, but melee definitely stands a chance against mages. Ancient magics are not overpowered. Without them, melee would be unstoppable. Still, if the spells fail enough, the warrior has chance to one hit the mage with Dharok's set effect (hits 80+).
  16. Getting keylogged is the victim's own fault. Do not use Internet Explorer unless you want automatically downloading trojans. Use Firefox or Opera instead. Install WinXP SP2 to patch the jpeg hole (if you use XP). You can't get script kiddie keyloggers by just loading a webpage unless you use Internet Explorer. It's the only browser that can be exploited by script kiddies - other browsers have MUCH less holes. Completely bugless programs don't exist.
  17. Getting account stolen is the victim's fault. It's easy to avoid getting keylogged or phished. You can also not tell anyone your PW.
  18. Well, Duh, thats what the triangle is. Melee owns rangers Rangers own mage. Mages own melee. Rangers SHOULD beat mages. And, I dont agree that mages should be given a boost, seeing as if you use them properly, they will easily eat up a melee'er of a similar or fairly higher level. In f2p the "triangle" is: melee beats mage melee beats ranger ranger beats mage Bind doesn't help 1 vs 1 and you can guess who is winning if mage has no melee defence, melee doesn't have magic defence but melee can hit 25s while mage hits only 16s. Lvl 99 mage hits same as 59 so it's waste of runes to train your magic lvl above 59.
  19. Post your HijackThis log. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html click scan, wait and click save log to get the log
  20. Common sense is all you need to protect from hacking. Getting hacked is the victim's own fault. You don't just get hacked, you have to get yourself hacked.
  21. Might wanna move it to some hidden folder afterwards so you don't acidetnally click it ;) Then you can type 'shutdown -a' in the run box.
  22. I guess you don't know how keyloggers and the onscreen keyboard work. Keyloggers capture the keystroke event, not physical keystrokes. Onscreen keyboard send a keystroke event, just like your regular keyboard. Anybody who says that OSK makes you safe from keyloggers is a n00b or liar.
  23. The log would look like this: user hsjtyjketyk name sfgsfghdfg pass dsgshyett word Clicks make a new line in the log usually. And keyloggers log the keystroke event, not the actual keystroke. Just don't get keyloggers. Getting them is your own fault.
  24. Run Hijackthis and post the log before using programs like Ad-Aware. They usually destroy the information (registry keys) that would be listed in HJT log but doesn't delete the actual keylogger.
  25. type ipconfig /flushdns to the command line
