This is a parody of the Mahjarrat quests. You go to "the North" to fight turkeys and you get a boost from "the Gravy Boat of Saradomin" (Stone of Jas).

Magic is supposed to be a part of the combat triangle. Skilling magic is off-topic when talking about combat magic. Or can you strangle your enemy with the amulet stringing spell? Or high alch them?

So I can illusion my BH targ to death? Make 3 fake copies of yourself around your target. All attack at the same time, but only 1 is really hitting. (The real one) He has to attack the real one for the other ones to dissapear. You could get a guy to loose loads of combat rounds by making him not know which one is the real you. Also would be a good way to get out of combat to eat for a few turns. Im 95% sure its updated look on magic spells, and it would be rather obvious if it was. Jagex has said that no new spellbooks are planned. The fairy spells may be added to the Lunar Spellbook. Remember the Lunar Staff is made from Dramen Staff and fairy alphabet were used to curse the ship in Lunar Diplomacy quest. Illusion spells (gnomish/elven magic) could be added to Lunar book too, since there already is mind related magic, like stat spy. Illusion magic could use soul runes. The incantation Glouphrie uses to create illusion tortoises is: "Em gal lauf rei! Emeto laufolly egramentos umesco lamiten gan!" Translated partially (unknown words in parentheses): "(Em) all eyes (rei)! (Emeto) stupid eyes (egramentos) soul (lamiten gan)!". Umesco means soul. -
How it is different?

Dragonkin symbol - 8 pointed compass. [hide] amg sailing!!!!11 [/hide]

Shortages are caused by incorrect (too low) GE price limits. Purely Jagex's fault. With correct limits (or no limits at all) there would be equal amount of supply and demand - no shortage, no surplus.

The Death Altar animation in Within the Light is copied from Vengeance spell. What other animations were reused? I heard one of them was the special attack of the Chaos Elemental. (edit: corrected some typoes)

Great.. Eastern lands.. No wait, is that stellar dawn? Tower of Life 2 of course. :P New worlds = new language servers? It'll probably come out on Monday as they're removing the Halloween event on Monday. Exclamation mark obviously means dungeon. -
However, if Jagex actually made this quest, they would classify it as Grandmaster due to the requirements.

Business. Boss(ing). Boat Riding -> OMG S41L1NG!!!!!111

In MMORPGs fun comes from the rewards. If there is no rewards, it will just be grinding for nothing.

Remember Jagex already has a screenshot taking feature for abuse reports.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to be able to take and save screenshots in RuneScape by pressing a single key such as F12, like with Fraps? But just without any third party programs (that cost money). And more importantly, without copying, pasting, naming and saving that you have to do if you just use printscreen. That's impossible to do if you want to quickly take multiple pictures from a cutscene. A signed Java applet can write to the local hard drive of the user's computer. It wouldn't work for those who use unsigned applet.

And where does it say this? Though, i'd say this quest could easily lead into a Grandmaster. Just look at the quest list webpage of Jagex. The classification of a quest is NEVER lower than its requirements. Also, the classification is not a difficulty classification. It's all about requirements. Jagex is just lying when they call it difficulty in the in-game quest list. Have you done quests like Underground Pass (experienced), MEP2 (master), Forgiveness of a Chaos dwarf (master) and While Guthix Sleeps? You'd notice that even Underground Pass is harder than Forgiveness even though Forgiveness is higher level. MEP2 is harder than WGS because of the 3d puzzle. WGS is higher level simply because of its higher requirements. It doesn't mean it HAS to have a higher requirement, this could be the first. JaGEx has stated that some quests get a higher ranking because of their requirements. Which is kind of the reason While Guthix Sleeps hit Grandmaster. Mournings Ends Part II and Within The Light are the same ranking (Master) Doesn't look like Within The Light is at a higher level to me. The level must be SAME or HIGHER than the required quest. Never lower. It's a Jagex policy. I still can't see where it says this. They've never said a thing on it., and if they have, please show me. Check the quest list and see if there is any quests with lower classification than its requirements. No, you won't find any. It's not a coincidence. The classification is all about the requirements and it has nothing to do with the length or difficulty of the quest itself. Mourning's ends part 2 and Within the Light is a perfect example. WTL would have been intermediate if it was about difficulty. The only thing that can be really "difficult" is puzzles. Anything else is pure luck. MEP2 puzzle is definitely more difficult.

What's the correct forum for posting my own Chaos Elemental style riddles? (they are about RS of course)

Possible, but the cosmic altar is more fairy related, i think the whole soul ritual with marjahhat is more likely to lead to the soul altar Or Elven/Gnome quests, as Seren is the goddess of the World Soul and Glouphrie is doing something evil with it. Mahjarrat is also possible, as they are based on liches, and the major thing that defines the word "lich" is the movement of soul from body to an external object (like Koschei the Deathless moved his soul to a needle in Russian mythology) to become immortal as long as the object is not destroyed. Koschei also appears in Fremennik Trials quest and his name is similar to Kharshai the Mahjarrat.

Within the Light shouldn't even have existed

Are you a Jmod or have you seen a Jmod post confirming that he isn't Sliske? Only Jmods can be 100% sure about future updates, and even they change minds. Remember that you cannot disprove a theory with a theory. That "having hand in many minor ways" could be a red herring. -
Win! And to the self appointed Jagex-psychologists who said this was an obvious fake because it wasn't "jagex style", Well said. I have seen many doubters and naysayers make fools of them selves on the internet.. There are many people who think every kind of update is unlikely or who think they know 100% of future updates. E.g. someone said on the official forums that only elves can chant crystal about a day before the release of Within the Light =D> . The truth is that every kind of plot twist is possible in RuneScape.

Withdraw from Bank to Familiar With Ease

Support. Also, there should be a tab for familiar inventory, rather than a window that is closed by combat. -

Catapult Construction is classified correctly. It is master because it requires a master quest to start (Regicide). The only thing that is wrong is calling the classification "difficulty". It's "experience", because it is based on the requirements. Difficulty is almost impossible to classify, because it's based on opinion of an individual player (using a guide, puzzle skills, etc). Explain how "difficulty" is more RPGish than "experience level"? ___________________ Now it's time for an RPG joke:
-
Why does Jagex call the master, grandmaster etc classification "difficulty" in the in-game quest list, when it is really experience level? Everybody with a quest cape knows that it has nothing to do with difficulty. It's all about the requirements (experience). There are experienced-level quests (e.g. Underground Pass) that are more difficult than master quests (e.g. Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf). Catapult Construction is "master" only because it requires Regicide. Solution: rename difficulty to experience.

There is a mistake in the level classification. Since it requires While Guthix Sleeps, it MUST be Grandmaster. The classification of the quest can't be lower than the classification of its requirements.

i believe juna says the light creatures are guthixian though which is strange, crystal definitely rings of seren. Either jagex is inconsistent or maybe this is the daeyaelt ores @ elven lands all over again (although the recent postbag did mention a vampyre drinking the blood of an elven girl) zamorak made himself into a god, Unless Seren was once not a god, i do not believe seren would have a species outside of simply being a god Guthix created Anima Mundi (the soul of world) using the Stone of Jas (apparently). Seren is the goddess of Anima Mundi (told in the Glouphrie quest series). So there is a connection between Guthix and Seren. And about the Daeyalt leak: If the Dark Lord really is Zamorak, there must be a connection to the Myreque series because of the Guthixian edicts. Zamorak cannot be summoned before the edicts are nullified, because otherwise Guthix would awaken and delete everything in Gielinor. I'd not be surprised if one of those edict conspirators was a Death Guard elf under illusion spell. Also, Lord Drakan is allied with Zamorak. I'd say Daeyalt is somehow involved in the "chaos mutations" (Mutated Bloodveld, Warped Terrorbird/Tortoise, Chaos Dwarf, Chaos Dwogre). Radioactivity, or something like that, and powers over Anima Mundi.
