  1. This will probably be the rock star / "All in one place!" update hinted by the Chaos Elemental.
  2. Isn't essence mining bad way of making money if you have that high summoning level and other stats? Wouldn't God war bosses, slayer etc be better?

  4. Another obsolete anti-cheat thing is the timer when you change worlds. It was made to stop people who used third party world switcher programs or bots to empty the shops. Now with the personal shops and the built-in world switcher, it's time to remove the timer. Before, you had to go to front page, detail selection etc if you wanted to switch worlds. The "profile transfer" thing is just a lie. The player profile is not of gigabytes size. If Jagex has 100M connections (probably even faster), just think how much data is transferred in the time of the timer.

  6. What makes you think that Mod Dylan posted the thread immediately after he returned? I'd say he has been at Jagex for a longer time but just decided to post at 19-Aug-2009.
  7. Which is faster XP with level 72 runecrafting, ZMI or death (abyss)?
  8. I think that's because the infinite shop stocks were removed -> the supply decreased.
  9. if jagex would've done that, wich quest would you decide to do first? impossible mission for me to choose :ohnoes: No I'd easily choose ME3 and Mahjarrat 4. Anything else I don't really care about. FT3: I assume this means Fremminik Trials 3? If so, well it can wait, since there's not much storyline there. Most likely, the reward would be some sort of helmet, and since I use void melee most of the time, I don't care about it. MM2: Would be my next best choice DT2: Basically the same as Mahjarrat quests, right? EW3: I didn't like any of the ones before and they all gave trash rewards (except if you consider being able to kill wyverns a reward, which you can easily do with a DFS) FT=Fairy Tale most likely.
  10. Or tooth fairy. Journey: Fairy Rings?
  11. Little things could mean dwarves or fairies.
  12. Just found this video on YT. Even Azzanadra and the "liche" (skeletal) look of the Mahjarrats are mentioned.
  13. Jagex scrapped that idea. [hide=While Guthix Sleeps spoiler]In the time between Temple of Ikov and While Guthix Sleeps Lucien got the Staff of Armadyl even if you took the anti-Lucien path in Temple of Ikov.[/hide] [hide=Curse of Arrav spoiler]In Curse of Arrav quest (Zemouregal's notes) it is revealed that Hazeel was resurrected even if you didn't help him in Hazeel Cult quest.[/hide] It was probably too hard to design sequels for quests where you could choose from multiple paths.

No, the fact your missing is this: merching clans continue to buy ppots at MAX price, this causes two things, 1. drives prices up non-stop, 2. buys out the supply for other people (though there will be ppots for others to buy, MOST of the supply is bought out by these clans). Merch clans make prices rise, but they don't cause shortages. Price limitation is the only thing that can cause shortages in RS. Without price limits, prices would rise freely, which would cause lots of players start making and selling prayer potions, balancing the price and feeding the demand. With these price limits, the supply rises slower than the demand, and the result is shortage.

  16. 255 is the max value of an 8-bit variable (byte).

Shortages are caused by the price limits, not by price manipulators. If there was no limits, there would be no shortages, as the price will always rise to the equilibrium point immediately. When price increases, the supply will increase too. If the price is restricted from rising, it restricts the supply from rising too -> shortage. Non-restricted prices: supply: |||||||||||||| demand: |||||||||||||| (i.e. with correct prices, supply equals demand) Restricted prices: (too low price limit) supply: ||| demand: |||||||||||||||||||| (too high price limit) supply: |||||||||||||||||||| demand: |||
  18. There is no 7 main Plague City quests. Only 6 (change "six more parts" to "five more parts"). You might be mistaking Roving Elves as a Plague quest, but it is actually the sequel of Waterfall Quest. The relationship between Roving Elves and the current Plague City quests is just the area, the elven race and some characters. The storyline is, however, different from the Plague line (RE doesn't continue Regicide and MEP1 doesn't continue RE), which makes Roving Elves a side quest. Well, seeing as Roving Elves is required for Mourning's End Part 1, I think it's reasonable to include it, as it isn't optional like the incredibly lame Catapult Construction. Being a requirement doesn't make it a part of the same series. Only the actual storyline matters. While Guthix Sleeps requires MEP2 but their storylines are unrelated. Most likely Catapult Construction is required in the next quest. If you want to include Roving Elves to the Plague series, you'll also have to include Waterfall and Sheep Herder.

  20. I don't think the dark defender would be overpowered if it was an untradable drop from dark beast (level 90 slayer required).
  21. Even if the mage gets the kill, he is still the loser due to the rune costs unless he gets lucky. One shark heals 20 and ice barrage has chance to hit 30. Only 10 damage left if the spell hits max. Result: the mage has to waste all the warrior's food before he can kill. If the freeze spell fails even once, the mage is dead. If the warrior is the attacker (hits the mage first), the mage is dead (1 hit or 2 hit). If the mage is the attacker, he might have some chance to survive. Basically, nowadays magic is more a support skill than a primary combat skill. You can use it to help melee or ranged, like with prayer and summoning. Since magic is supposed to be a part of the triangle, it's supposed to be a primary combat skill. When ancients were released, 30 was relatively big hit. Ranged could hit about 20 (very fast) and melee about 40 (slow).
  22. "Pink" should be renamed to "magenta", as it's the proper name of the colour.
  23. I don't think it's necessary to spoil quest storyline in walkthroughs. Instead:
  24. Maybe the Dragonkin froze it. King Black Dragon and Wyverns have freezing breath, so we can assume the Dragonkin have too.
