  1. Lucky chickens, they get clan citadels 2 weeks in advance. On topic: are there any useful rewards that can be used outside the lair aside from the vine whip?
  2. I liked the quest, it became enjoyable once i got into the quest and stopped thinking of it as something to grind through for a reward. The brooches are untradeble via the GE, so I'm having fun selling them in trades for 2k each.
  3. I recently got 89 dung, and i c1ed thundy until i could kill him without him maging or hitting me with his specs, but all this was on solo. What special things do i need to watch out for while killing him with a group?
  4. I'm not sure that's true, because when I activated my aura and logged out for 5 minutes, then logged back in the timer had advanced but the aura was still active.
  5. I thought that the auras would be a kind of glow around your character, instead of just carving "Ikea" on your weapons. Hopefully there will also be glow ones.
  6. I was under the impression that misc are from the bosses that don't fit into the normal boss classes (like stalker, behemoth, and kal'gerion) such as rammernaut or the luminescent icefiend.
  7. Your gear seems pretty good, but the inventory could use some work. Stat-boosting potions won't really have an effect because you will be brewing a lot so you should probably switch them out. At your levels, range is going to be more powerful, so you should only use melee for a BGS spec at the start and maybe when Nomad goes berserk. You should also use normal restore pots instead of super restores because the brew:rest ratio with normal restores is 4:1 as opposed to super restores where it's only 3:1. you could bring 1-2 prayer potions to make up for not having super restores. you may even want to take ~2 restore pots less, because you won't be restoring while Nomad is charging his hp-1 attack. Seeing as you are going to be using an accumulator, you shouldn't need more then 200 bolts for the whole fight. Using a war tort will make Nomad a lot easier, but it is possible to beat him with a terrorbird. Just dodge his attacks, remember to drink some restore every couple of brew doses, and don't panic.
  8. Regarding the summoning points task, it might be possible to lower your summoning level by getting diseased.
  9. 1. I find mining and thieving to be hard to train due to boredom. For me the best way to train them is by using high xp/hr methods with plenty of breaks. It helps to break up the training and only get around 10-15k xp per day, despite taking a long time, to prevent boredom. Having friends to talk to/music to listen to can help temporarily. 2. Nomad should be possible with your levels. I beat him with 75 range while using brews for the first time. The keys are not to panic and not to give up. 3. Like Litterbug said, try doing daily collectables. You could also get eyes of newt from Taverly and sand from Yanille, and visit all your fruit trees a few times a day for the fruits (E.g papayas, coconuts, etc.).
  10. It is annoying having to go back and forth between the bank and a quest area because you keep needing more items, but tbh i prefer it over being spoonfed everything. A quest is supposed to consist of an adventurer helping someone who cannot help themselves, and not an idiot being taken advantage of by someone who's too lazy to do a simple job. A good quest is one where you to think, and do things on your own. Look at mep2, for instance. You need to recharge the defenses of the temple of light. Are you told how? No. Is Arianwyn following you everywhere, so you can ask him for help if you get stuck? No. When Thorgel wants you to get him supplies, he actually wants you to gather supplies and bring them to him, not deliver a pre-made package via Postie Pete. And also, the reward for quests, especially those with complex storylines, is meant to be and added bonus in addition to the satisfaction of completing a quest and advancing the plot of the game. It is not supposed to make up for the xp lost doing the quest instead of training, and it is definitely not supposed to be the goal. Showing the reward at the beginning makes doing the quest for the sake of doing the quest pointless.
  11. During While Guthix Sleeps, our character touches the Stone of Jas. According to the Runescape storyline, others who touched the Stone of Jas, like the Moon Clan or the people who discovered the rune essence mine, gained the ability to use magic without runes. However, when we touch the Stone of Jas, we get a temporary combat boost and 400k xp. I think that to fit in with the storyline, we should get some ability with magic or runecrafting, like an ability to save some runes while spellcasting or a slight increase in rune production, like the effect of the lumbridge ring but with all rune types, and not just the elemental runes. What is your opinion on this, and what other abilities should we gain from the Stone of Jas if we find it again in a later quest? Please discuss.
  12. I actually like it as "weekly trivia" seeing as this clan is meant to teach people how to dungeoneer well, and trivia usually contains those helpful bits of information that don't fit anywhere else in the guidelines. You could try renaming it "weekly tip" to encourage more people to read it.
  13. I've noticed plenty of people in dgs just hang around waiting for someone else to host a floor. Don't be afraid to host your own, even if you don't know how to key. Chances are at least 1 of the people who join you will be experienced enough to help you out and give some tips.
  14. There are also instances where they didn't make it easier, such as their refusal to weaken nomad.
