Definitely something you're interested in. And about the keeping you up thing, well for me, my eyes get too tired for the book to keep me up, so I just give up and start sleeping.

You could always read. Reading right before going to bed always makes my eyes tired, and I usually fall alseep at once after reading.

How is it not the mark of cowardice? It is the very epitome of not facing your problems and taking the easy way out. It does take courage to actually kill yourself. And anyway, people always, always take the easiest way to get out of their problems. For some people, when they really see no other way and really given up hope, then commiting suicide is the easiest way.

I agree and understand why you guys are saying that it's selfish to commit suicide, but I do not agree that it's a coward thing to do.

I'm just wondering, if you know Spanish, is it really easy to learn Portuguese after that? I really want to learn both languages. And is it just me, but does anyone else think Portuguese sounds a tiiiiny bit like Russian? I think it's just you :P Anyway, portuguese and spanish are really close languages, but they are totally different. If you want to learn seriously portuguese, I think it would be easier to use English as a base than Spanish, but you can easily get by on a portuguese speaking country using "portunhol" (spanish+portuguese), wich is, infact, what many people do  Okay, thanks :) Btw, where in Brazil do you live?

This week, the morning newspaper here in Sweden has been publishing a a picture and an interview of a random passing person each day about the clothes that they are wearing in the picture. The most scary thing is that the average cost of a piece of clothing that normal people wear is like $60+. Seriously, it's scary that people go around in jeans+shirt+shoes that cost like $500 total.
-
Well, I've always thought buying expensive brand clothes is stupid, since you can get just as good quality somewhere else for a much much better price, and you can spend the money on something more important. So I don't have any favourite brand clothes, usually my clothes come from H&M, or from China whenever we fly back to China. In Sweden, the most popular jacket brand right now is Canada Goose. I dunno if it's just in Sweden or if it's like that all over the world, but if you sit on the subway, about half of the people are wearing Canada Goose...:/

I have no idea what happens when you die, there is nothing particular I believe will happen. However, there might be a heaven.. where you have wings and stand on clouds and can look down at all the people down there ^_^ There might be a hell as well, but I don't think or at least I hope I won't be sinful enough to end up there. Maybe we reincarnate, but I don't hope so, because I don't want to relive everything again. Someone said about there being parallel universes, which is an interesting theory, maybe we are born in another universe. Or maybe we just die into nothingness and nothing happens. But whenver I think that the world is going to develop and change, and the world is going to go on without me, it feels weird, like I really don't want to die and want to be with and see the changes.

In the school I went to last year there were these teenagers that constantly drew on walls, threw sand/soil from plant pots everywhere, clogged the toilet, threw snowballs at random people and running away etc. to have fun. It made me really angry, because the school had to pay money that they could have used on other things to fix the mess the teenagers caused. I hate teenagers who do things like that to have fun, and whoever said this is partly what gives teenagers such bad reputation, I agree.

Why don't you ask them if you could come then? To me they don't sound like very good friends, I mean discussing about something in front of you and not even inviting you... :/
-
Why don't you at least give her a chance? Just try going out with her once, and if you really feel she's too young, then tell her that. But don't let her wait too long for your answer.

Well, after reading the article I guess what they're saying is true, that if you really, really wanted to make a difference you'd be out there doing something rather than sitting at home comfortably at your computer.

Sometimes I see ads for online petitions and I read about them, and then sign them if it's concerning something worth signing for. Usually I don't sign much of those, but do they actually help? Do you guys think someone would do as they're told just because some 3000 or more people from around the globe have signed their names? Well, if it does, I thought we could start a thread with people posting different petitions once a week or something that is worth signing. I mean, when you sign petitions, you can get some of your friends to sign them as well. But I thought by posting them on a board where thousands of people frequently visit will be much more efficient. So, any opinions?

I'm not so sure I agree with you on the "The pigs obviously don't know or care." Just cause we can't understand the pigs, doesn't mean they don't know or care.
-
Urgh, I don't think I like this :/ It's just too much, I mean now we're making pigs green, I wonder what we'll be doing in 20 years o.o It's not natural anymore. Giving 10 million for this, it probably would have paid off more to give it to the poor in need of the money :/

Of course good and bad exists. If a person decides it's good to kill someone, you know it's wrong and bad, it's not just a matter of opinion. I used to think it was stupid to swear, so I basically never swore, and when I did I probably just used some "lighter" swear words. I didn't like the word f*** at all. Now I hear it so often that it's just a word in my everyday life and I will probably start using it automatically, because many people around me use it.

In China people eat VERY spicy food, and I'm Chinese, so I'm used to spicy food. I don't like it or dislike it, it doesn't really matter if the food is spicy, just as long as it doesn't ruin the food or anything. My dad however seems to love spicy food. Sometimes when we eat, he has so much garlic or other kinds of spicy stuff, that he starts sweating :/

This isn't so surprising, I mean people these days do extremely crazy stuff, just open a Guinness World Record book :/

Oh, and I forgot to post what girls like in a guy. If the girl is one of those make-up and appearance freaks, well everyone knows they're up for money and looks. If the girl is more of a personality person, then she'll be after personality, and looks won't matter to her. In my opinion, there is no one who's ugly, I think everyone has a beautiful feature, and if you really like someone, you'll find it. I like guys who are a bit shy, cause I think there's so much to discover about shy people since they don't open themselves completely until they're really comfortable with you.
-
Yeah, I have to agree with those who said that girls these days are just complete dumbos. Here in Sweden almost every single girl is sooo obsessed with their appearance, their make-up makes them look so artificial, it's urgh, and appearance is the only thing that matters to them. And even worse, basically every single guy tries to act cool.
-
I've also thought about that, but I really hope not, and I won't believe it even though it's possible.
-
Yeah, .zip extension was disabled or something, and my name was included in it :/

Hehe, this topic is interesting :) I am shy, especially when I meet someone new. If I'm sitting in a big group of people, I usually don't talk much, because I don't like being the center of attention in front of so many people. I talk a lot more and feel more comfortable when it's just 3 or 4 people. Usually it's always like I get to know a group of people, but they never get to know me well at first and think I'm this boring person, because I rarely talk when there are so many people around. Later, when I am with them 1 and 1, and talk to them more and show them how I'm really like, they realize I'm not so boring after all. And after some time, when I feel comfortable around them, I become more outgoing. Besides being shy I am also rather thoughtful and caring, and people usually trust me and I am also pretty nice :)
