How can anyone not love kids?? They are so adorable :) I want to get a babysitting job, but I doubt there is anyone in my area who is in need of one :/

Hmm, true love for me is when you want the person you love to be happy, and his/her happiness is your happiness. Just being in that person's presence makes you feel really happy. Also, you accept the way he/she is just as he/she is and feel proud to have him/her.

I love: 1. No school!! 2. Family 3. Shopping/making presents and planning what to give everyone and then wrapping them. I love wrapping presents! yeah, those crazy people that live on the bottom of the world have christmas in the middle of summer :D . seriously, it is the middle of summer. personally, i'm glad to have christmas in the winter. Otherwise, it just doesnt feel like christmas. And think about it, if christmas was in the summer, winter would be totally depressing, with school, grey skies, and no fun. I once had christmas down south in Florida. It was kinda nice for the fisrt time, but it really didnt feel like christmas. The whole idea of sitting in front of a warm fire, singing carols in the cold, watching the first snowflakes is what makes christmas christmas for me. Ya, I agree with you 10000%. Here in Sweden, there is always snow when it's Christmas, and it's what makes the whole thing feel christmasy. A few days before snow came this year, the christmas decorations were already up, but it didn't feel like Christmas at all. Then a few days later when it snowed, it suddenly just hit me how soon Christmas is.

Well, I told you... you could have just flown a quarter across the world... Yeah, but you didn't mention you could pay for my plane ticket :(

Yuuup, definitely gonna see the movie!! Most likely next week though, cause the friend I promised to go see it with can't go this week :( The trailer looked great, so I really hope this one won't be a big disappointment as the 4th is my favourite out of the series.

Why live and suffer when we are going to die anyways..
Zippi08 replied to FishRFriends's topic in Off-Topic
I've also thought about that, and I guess there are just too many good stuff in life to leave behind. And anyway, my life has just begun, I haven't experienced how it's like being an adult and lastly getting old and gray, and I'd like to experienee that before I die. -
I don't remember like anything from my childhood. Nothing from my time in China, only that one of my mom's friends taught me how to fold a fox out of paper. In Sweden, I don't remember squeezing my finger between the elevator door or falling from a wall, but I know they happened. It's a pity that we usually don't remember anything, or very little from our time as a baby. Those are usually the best time of our lives eh? Everyone goes like "Ooooh, you're so cuuuute!" :P

I prefer both, depends on what I feel like listening to. Although lately, I've been listening more to rock than to rap, and sometimes rap gets boring with just talking.. But yeah, they are 2 completely different genres, and it's impossible to just compare them like this.

Well, I don't really know how well Swedes are with their teeth, but I brush my teeth twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I can't stand not brushing them for more than a day, cause then there's like this layer of weird stuff on your teeth and I hate it. I wonder how people's teeth looked like earlier when there was no toothbrush nor toothpaste :/

Just google it.

I personally dislike make-up. I never use make-up (I'm a girl, btw) because for me, make-up is like a mask hiding the real you. I can understand why people use make-up though, but I really don't think make-up is necessary on anyone. I don't think I'll ever start using make-up either, at least I hope not. About men using make-up, I don't think there's anything wrong with men using them. If women use them, why shouldn't it be OK for men? Although in the beginning, I'd be a bit un-used to it.

I love to listen to music when sitting on the bus, train or just walking and looking up at the sky when it's just uber blue and clear. I love to be outside and get wet when it's raining, and I especially love heavy rainfalls. I love to ride my bike, especially when going downhill and feeling the wind rush past your ears and hair. I also love to see random people you meet on the street or anywhere else, smile at you and you smile back. And I love tons more things. Cool topic, btw! :)

Yup, I second that.

I'm Chinese and live in Sweden so I can speak, write and read: -Chinese -Swedish -English -German (although I didn't start learning German until 6th grade, which is 4 years ago, so I'm not fluent in it or anything yet.) Then soon I reeeaaaally wanna start learning Spanish! Such a cool language :D

Ya, for us that are not able to help directly, donating money is the best way we can help. And if you don't have money, go to http://www.thehungersite.com to donate money for free. The amount is not much at all, but still going there everyday can make a difference and you can give money without paying just by clicking. Mmmm I have real issues on site like that. I know they do help to an extent but nothing can really compare to giving hard cash. Sites such as those "click to donate" pages merly create slacktivists. People that think they are doing good, and feel better about themselves for doing it but in reality arnt doing anyhting at all. The people that click those sites are generally the same kinds of people that fill out online petitions all the time. They really do bugger all. Its the search for the ultimate feel-good that derives from having come to society's rescue without having had to actually gets one's hands dirty or open one's wallet If you really want to help then open your wallet and give what you can, if you cant afford to give money then maybe you can afford to give your time to help out some of the charities. Collect clothing and shoes to sent to the people affected. Perhaps you can do some find raising events with some friends. Do something real instead of clicking a button on a website because in the time youve turned on your computer, connected to the net and gone to hungersite.com and raised a whopping $0.01 for charity I could have washed a neighbours car or cut their grass and raised $5. Ya, what you said is true and I totally agree. Of course donating money straight to charities are more effective and can help soooo much more. I'm not saying people should feel good just by clicking, and of course everyone should try to actually work in real life to make a difference. I don't feel much better about myself because I always click, but it's just that everytime I go on the computer, I usually go to sites like these, cause it takes like a second to click.

When I was like 11, I used to use chat with abbreviations. Then after a few years, I stopped doing that and started to type with proper English and grammar. The only things I abbreviate nowadays are common phrases like 'lol' and 'brb'. Whenever I read a post now, if it's not written in proper English and grammar, I lose interest really fast and don't even wanna read it.

Wow, those are seriously some beautiful pictures! I'm especially in love with the first one, it's so nice it almost doesn't look real ^-^

Nope, I've never met anyone IRL I've met through internet. I'd like to though someday. The person that lives closest from me from these forums (Zargo_VI) lives 6.5-7km away from me, which is like 4 miles, so we live pretty close. We haven't talked about meeting yet, but it'd be cool to meet him someday!

Why are you guys all fussing about how young she is and a 3 year difference? So what if she's 12 and he's 15? It's not like you can't have feelings if you're 12 and if they really like each other why should age matter?

Oh wow, the trailer looks awesome! I especailly like the part when they show scenes from the previous movies in the beginning and then "The Adventure Contonues" :D I didn't really like the first 2 movies, the 3rd was better than the first two, I hope this one'll be good, as it's my favourite book from the series.

It depends on what kind of a lie my friend told me. In your situation, there's nothing much to do than to accept it and possibly tease him for being together with your sister. He probably didn't tell you the truth from the beginning cause he thought you'd tease him about it. But if a friend lied about something more serious, for instance I'm together with this guy and she falls for him too and makes out with him behind my back, I suspect what she's up to, but she lies, I'd be disappointed, and even if we're back to friends again after she's apologized, I might not trust her anymore as much as I used to.

Wacky, we both cheated in 5th grade on a spelling test. Whoa, wacky indeed! Oh, and judging by your name "Katastrofen", do you happen to be Swedish?

How many ppl actually laugh out loud when typing <lol>
Zippi08 replied to somaster989's topic in Off-Topic
Sometimes I use 'lol' if there's nothing else to say or if it's somewhat funny in my mind. Although with different friends, 'lol' can mean different things. With some friends I rarely use 'lol', instead I use 'haha' and put a smiley in there to indicate that I really find it funny, 'haha' without a smiley kinda looks sarcastic to me. Then if I find something really funny that makes me chuckle, I use 'lol!' and for something even funnier I use 'LOL', I never capitalize 'haha' though. I almost never use 'lmao' or 'rofl', just find them kind of annoying. -
I used to cheat once in a while when I was younger. Once in 5th grade we had a spelling test, and I wrote a word I thought I'd forget the spelling on, on the desk. Then at the end of the day we put up the chairs in the classroom and cleared all the desks, and when my teacher came up to my desk, she saw the word. I tried to look innocent, and she just shook her head. Then from 7th grade and on, I was the one people usually cheat off of. In the beginning I'd let them cheat and not care. But after a while, I stopped letting them, so now I never cheat and am never going to.
