Well I challenge qeltar to do some research into these companies, how they're run, how they operate etc, as well as independant sellers (norm players) and still make those same claims. Yeh, but if 99% of RWT had been "eradicated" then you'd expect it to be much much higher. Plus even if RWT could still operate perfectly, prices would be a dollar up cause companies can claim that its harder or something.

That about covers it. I never understand what the point is of these sorts of threads. Just because you cannot eliminate 100% of something, that doesn't mean there's no value in getting rid of 99% of it, and that's what Jagex has done. 99% of it hasn't gone. I'd say about 70% of gold sales have gone. Initially, it was higher, but now people are developing methods of trading. Gold shops have reopened, the price of gold remains at $5-6 per mil when it was $4-5 BEFORE these updates. If it were so hard to trade gold, wouldn't the price be higher? You're just generalising with me here. Go to the sites, have a look for yourself. More and more ex gold sellers who quit when these updates came out are coming back because it IS possible.

Gold sales still happen. Pures won't be dead for long (solo pk comes out next month) There isn't really a risk if you know what you're doing. These aren't 12 year old kids in their rooms scamming adamant armour for a few K, these are professional businessmen who could care less about what items you have on your account. If you find a REAL site, and not a fake one, providing you pay the right money, they will train whatever you want to ANY level. That's true, but I did say that I "don't know all the answers." Admittedly, it's just speculation - however there is little doubt in my mind that this war is not for the stated reason. I may be wrong, but It will take a lot to convince me. It just, doesn't seem to fit. People in the US aren't stupid, especially not the people who actually make decisions (not the people you see on TV), and therefore, I think it is extremely unlikely that if their agenda is what they say it is (combatting terrorism) they would have taken this route. There would have been much better courses of action, and you don't just come to a decision like that overnight. Because of that, as well as other reasons, I believe there is an alterior motive.

It's possible thru BH. Hard, but possible. Some websites have a cooldown period for logging in. IE, you place your order for someone to train your account, they change pass, train it, then wait 5 days and give you it back. That way, if you're banned you can claim you went there on holiday or something..

Or anywhere near dead for that matter. What is crippled is gold/item sales, however they are still happening. People are still buying hundreds of mills even with the present system. There are also account sales happening, at an increased rate especially. If you go to one of the numerous cheat sites (not advertising, just saying) you can see that people STILL sell gold, but people have moved onto account sales too. There is also power levelling to contend with. Most people think that these RWT websites use bots - some actually don't. So in essence it is untraceable, and there are people who are paying to have their accounts levelled, or for money to be made on their account. This update really wasn't aimed at the entirity of RWT, just the ingame item side to it. Wow, deja vu there for a second.. It's not as simple as that. The US people wouldn't want it, the government would. Iranian oil control, middle eastern territory that can help with their continuous middle eastern take over plan, and at the same time instilling fear and demoralisation into the hearts of every citizen, so they will do what they're told and make no fuss about it. Money isn't anything when we're talking about the people who have ultimate control. 20 years down the line they'll own everything, so it doesn't really matter if they lose a few bil for the time being.. Oil is in fact probably not their primary reason - it's an added bonus but there are plenty other things that are more important to the people who ACTUALLY run the show. Fear and demoralisation are the most basic methods used to make people submit their freedoms in the name of "security." I don't know the answers, but I take things how I see them - this is about one thing, ONE - and that is control. I think its pretty hilarious that fansites can come up with better ideas than multi million dollar gaming corporations. Jagex are stupid. This is smart. Any of you pro-Jagex "It was necessary" people who claim the game was in a state of emergency, tell me, please - why Jagex couldn't implement something like this? Yeh, I thought it was more like 8-10 to be honest. Well it was last time I had delivery from there.. which was about two weeks ago. What I've found is that as the pizzas get bigger, the amount of slices only increases marginally, they actually put more emphasis on the size of them. For example with a small you still get like 7 slices, and a large is 8, but the slices are sometimes double size. Naw mean?

Assuming they are both equal levels, in an ideal system they would have the same chance of winning or based on the "combat triangle". Face it, leveling in RS is a joke. The system is ineffective and unfair in so many ways that it's not even funny. Why should it be equal? In my eyes, one has put in weeks/months of time and the other has put in maybe a few hours/days.. I think the pure deserves to win outright. They've put more work in, how can it possibly be "fair" that someone who trained for 1/1000th of the time they did be able to beat them?

If im 57 combat with 99 magic (has been done before, "danqer" did it), then I would have atleast 13million exp, without adding hits. Normal level 57s have about 50k in each combat stat, and 10k in prayer, so that would be 210k. 13m/210,000 is roughly 60. For 60 times the work, we deserve to win. Of course that case is just a freak case, but even normal pures generally have double the exp of impures the same level. I too was going for a low combat mage pure, not quite as low cause I wanted hits too, but I was 58 with 87 and 99 banked, but I got perm banned/locked then banned again. Kinda annoying tbh.

That still wouldn't work. If I was 99 attack 99 strength and 70 defence, being roughly 90 hitpoints I would have 32 million combat exp excluding prayer. An impure with 32 million would probably have 88 in each combat stat excluding prayer.. I still think the pure would win..

Word. If you measure it in XP, if both players (impure and pure) had the same combat exp, then the impure would probably win everytime. We train harder, so we deserve the extra power.

No, finding combos and experimenting is fine. Hitting double of a person equal leveled to you is not fine. Two equal leveled players in pretty much every other game made have an equal chance of winning and the outcome depends more on skill. In RS the pure beats the normal player always. Sure, the system is flawed, I can see that perfectly. So what? Purity is there for the taking, and I choose to train that way. If it's unfair, that's Jagex fault. And I wouldn't consider it unfair anyway - is it unfair that you get logs faster with a d axe, afterall, not *all* players can afford one. Making better equipment rarer only does one thing - reward the rich. Runescape isn't fair, and neither is anything else. But that doesn't mean we should all be limited to training a certain style or certain stats.

Wow. All that at 58 combat? Man, when I was 58 I was running around in full addy. I wouldn't have stood a chance against your almighty pureness. Congrats on abusing flaws in the system. Wow. The way you quoted it makes it sound like I was bragging. I mentioned my combat level so you can see that I would have no chance in BH, being in the second bracket. It's attitudes like yours that I dislike. I experiment with combat levels and purity because I strive to be the best. It's nothing to do with abusing a "flaw in the system." Blame your Holy Jagex for that flaw, mr high and mighty. I trained a main too, got multiple 99 stats, then it was banned. Then I chose to make a pure. So what? Just because I choose not to be another generic black cav wearer who hangs around at varrock castle overusing the phrase *hugs* whilst talking to the rest of their generic, boring friends, doesn't mean im abusing the system. Oh but wait, I forgot, anyone who likes to experiment on RS or try out different combinations of stats, is a "flaw abuser"

+99999 Why is it that PKers only think they matter? This update affected everyone in a good way except Pkers. What is good for the many, is good for the few. RS is not just about Pking. Most of the people it affected positively were high ranked skillers. Let's take a look at that shall we. I'll compose a list of everyone it has affected negatively, it DOESN'T mean I think its right, but ya know, just shows you that they're there: 1) Stakers - hours of work thrown away. 2) Pkers - Bounty Hunter is crappy, endof. 3) Low level pures - If youre level 50-80 don't expect to live for more than 20 seconds at BH, unless you're with a team. 4) People who trained to 85 magic to get teleblock. They paid for a spell, and they got a different one. Not fair, period. I alched to 87 magic on my pure - he was also 58 combat with 60 attack and 73 strength. I stood NO chance at bounty hunter. Now he's banned so I guess it doesnt matter :D 5) Alchers - Jagex failed to correct the price of yew longs for I don't know how long. 6) Fletchers - bots banned meant that yew logs are in very short supply (I'm not saying its bad, just saying..) 7) Fishers - price of lobs, I think is still too high 8) Cooks - prices of raw/cooked food aren't accurate (Again im not sure) 9) Anyone who gives presents, or gifts to friends. 10) People who hosted private drop parties. 11) People who like to sell their junk for really low prices (much lower then the GE, pfft 5%) so that they can get some quick cash. 12) Anyone who lends items to their family/friends. Plus Rob, I don't get what your point is here. Do you agree with the concept of these updates (combatting RWT) only, or both that and the way Jagex have done it? Because I think we can ALL agree that this could have been done better.
