The QFC tag and Scam links.
I know it'd probably require a fair amount of work. But in light of the return of scam links due to free trade etc I thought it might be worth forcing rsof forum links to use the QFC tag in some way so they HAVE to link to where they say they are. Sort of like how atm if you paste a url it automatically gets put in url tags. Would mean people trying to post [url=badsite]rsof forum link to make it look legit[/url] would be forced into actually posting: [url=badsite][/url] [url]actual rsof forum link[/url] Only a vague idea and I'm sure it'd need details working out; but just thought it might be a useful idea to kinda put a spanner in the works of scam linkers (and make posting rsof links easier due to automation)

The wilderness is [bleep]ed up beyond belief
I like how pkers now whine about it because they r the ones getting jumped and pwned by these spec combos. Yet it was all "part of the game" in the old days when they speeced out an armourless, clearly not gonna drop anything, person doing agility or a clue. Or camping at dark mage trying to purposefully make a quick buck of rcers. Also its hardly like these things are "new" all this kind of crud happened in the old wildy; its one of these ridculous things where at the time pkers moaned about all sorts of things. It went and suddenlt it became the perfect golden land they wnated back.

01-Feb-2011 - Behind the Scenes - February
I would think that wood ashes would be different, and demon ashes would have some sorta appearance difference with an examine like: The unholy ashes of an Infernal Demon. While wood ashes could be like: all that remains of some logs. I lol at ppl currently hording/collecting ashes in hopes of a quick buck. The way its described in bts and the way in-game items work its pretty clear: The item Ashes will be REMOVED from demon drop tables (but left on burnt out fires) Then demons will be getting brand NEW ash type items to drop. Theres no logical reason for them to change the existing ash into a new one when it'd just mean they have to remake normal ashes for fm and everything else tht produces ash.

A Few New Photos...
Yeah I' am listening and trying to take on advice while still slowly playing around with different lightings and shapes and stuff to get practice with all aspects of doing the photography (like getting the aperture and shutter speed closer to right first try). I know most of my subject matters probably aren't all that amazing, but its winter in the uk and I don't have a car to get anywhere hugely photogenic that easily so I'm making the best of what I can find around me atm. I get the feeling the first one is a bit sort of "marmite" compositionally cause on other arty communitys I use people do rather like it, aside from the exposure flaws etc. And yeah I'm just ignoring Da_Latios post given that all his points are simply points that are wrong; which I commented on myself anyway, or based on purely subjective viewpoint of personal taste; afterall not all art interests everyone. It's one thing to say a subject matter doesn't work for technical reasons and give feedback on how to better compose a shot; but its entirely different thing to say the subject matter is ew i don;t get it i don;t like it. The first being objective and considering it outside personal taste to give useful feedback; the second being purely subjective and useless (in terms of improving) as all it does is say this person doesn't like the particular style. Based on the comments I think perhaps this shot is technically better, though I don;t think it has the same feel as the tight shot of just the bars and looks more sort of random objects: With the grid thingy the focal point of the non-matching banister and the one jsut infront of it fall about right; but also you can see exposing it tht little bit more the colours went completely different.

Future Update Discussions
Well according to the BTS we need 60+ in these areas.... and I'm hoping that 60 rcing will be enough.... :ohnoes: 60+, gnomes, elves... Death rune altar is in the area and links to the elves and crystals, which we know gnomes use and needs 65 rc. So unless its some random thing i'd guess tht 65 rc will be the req

Falador Elite task reward
However it is much much much more useful in that its a much easier to get/use tele. Death can spawn u there Basic tele runes House portal Cabbage port aint far off Few fairy rings in the area etc. Where as digsite u got an ancient mage tele tht uses weird runes (If i recall right) or enchanted ruby ammy, both of which r somewhat rarer to have/use

Is there a way to boost FPS?
the trouble with widnows key and pause being: Only windows specific keyboards tend to have a windows key and u got like 50:50 odds of having a pause key.

Is there a way to boost FPS?
FPS is limited by a multitude of factors: 1) Internet speed, slow net lower FPS 2) Low RAM availbility - no RAM to process lots of frames = less FPS 3) Old crappy CPU - older can't do as much at monce = lower FPS 4) Bad/old/no graphics card = graphics processing given less prioty and thus less FPS Your system specs would help us give better insight as to precise what is limiting you.

Easy forum viewing on Smart Phones.
Seems quite redundant imo. Unless you have a blackberry or older junky smart phone all the zooming and sheer screen sizers make forum viewing in a browser easy as pie. An issue only amplified by the fact you have to buy the app on your phone while the browser is there and free already.

Falador Elite task reward
Yeah the tip.it guide is a bit vague on that one rskb and in-game dialogues are clearer thou. As covered it allows u to change the altar within fally castle into a zaros one (i believe u have to go get an item from azzandra under digsite after u did temple at sennistein or w/e its called to actually do it) but once done it allows a quick way to swap to (and from) curses.

A Few New Photos...
I did do them with longer exposure, but it lost the lighting effect I was going for. (Which only truely worked in the first pic tbh) But I was upstairs in the dark, rails are round top of staircase. Downstairs light was oin and gave the wonderful eerie glow around them. When I exposed any further u jsut ended up with a plain photo of what the area wuld be like with a light on. I find manual focus harder than most (I think) because I need glasses for distance, but not enough to have contacts. Then I use the camera with bare eye and even with the eye piece fully adjusted for my eye its not perfect so what looks crystal sharp to me is just off correct focus. But I have actually got a tripod on the way atm and I'm not entirely sure what is classed as a "remote shutter" I suspect it means a remote to set the camera off while not holding the camera itself; if so then I have one of them soon too. I also have a macro lense on the way which should greatly increase my photographic options within the general home area until I can get out for some good big shots.

Managing Thy Kingdom
at current market values 10 herb 5 maple is by far the best setup. Reading guides on the matter is a waste of time because they all quote what was best when they were written and thus are usualy badly out of date

Bork Reset Time
mtk actually updates from when you first unlocked it. If you unlocked it at 4am it will have its day complete 4am

Bork Reset Time
I must be thinking of something else then, nvm.

Bork Reset Time
BS. I fought him twice within the space of an hour or two once. I'm fairly sure it resets at 00:00 on the Jagex clock. I know he used to do tht but didn't he get "fixed" around the time skele horror turned up and loads of ppl pointed out u culd do him twice in like an hour at midnight-ish to almost 100% get the bone and jamflex being jamflex went omg CHANGE IT and made him use the time u slayed like tog and stuff do.
-
Bork Reset Time
I'm fairly sure bork is one of the ones that counts 24 hours from when you last defeated him and no a midnight gmt reset. So if u kill him at 7am, it'll have to be 7am again b4 u can kill him.

Major price changes since Free Trade
But "there are more players pking than skilling" only means just what it says, there no words in there to legitimately infer the meaning of the numbers of pkers have increased and skillers decreased. My arguments are in no way flawed if you find random meanings in straight forward english. As for the wild effecting prices due to there being an increase in pkers and decrease in skillers I think its a load of rubbish by and large. Yes there is a few more pekrs and a few less skillers. But mostly it is jsut free trade that has caused prices to become unsettled while everyone plays around.

There is probably some truth to what you're saying, I only wanted to point out that you had just as much proof as the guy before you did. Everything is speculative unless it is backed up by some evidence, no matter how feasible it may seem. Hence why in my initial post I wrote "no solid numbers but by just going around the world and having a basic grapse of logical numbers you can see theres no realistic way at all tht "most" are pking/staking." Well, then next time, don't point fingers at people who are speculating just as much as you are. Difference being: Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that in no way are most rs players pking/staking. While my numbers are made up estimates they are far more realistic.

Major price changes since Free Trade
I did state my opinion quite plainly. To assume prices of such items are dramatically changing because "most" people are pking/staking and not skilling is ludicrous as I explained clearly "most" people aren't pking/skilling. And tbf you can't blame any "pointless debate" on me. I never said there weren't more pking, only that most weren't. Not my fault you randomly assumed I said tht. And as I requoted I said in the very first post the numbers were made up, so again there is no fault on me tht someone pulled me up saying they r made up n have no proof.

Abyssal Demons about to get better?
The argument of the CURRENT method for fighting abbys efficiently is relevant. If dragons didn't drop dragon bones I'm sure there'd be a similar max efficiency setup for them; but they do drop bones and the bones are valauble therefore setups are tweaked to balance the profit making and the killing speed. If abbys ashes r valuable a new efficient setup will come into being, making if viable to collect ashes and kill at a reasonable rate.

A Few New Photos...
Been playing with my camera in the twilightyness of my uni house while I'm home alone for a bit. And further getting myself used to manual focus; think I'm improving though might be a bit off still. I'm not sure why, or if anyone else will get it but I just saw this shot and was like WOW: These 2 I quite like, but my arm decided to start being all twitchy everytime I went to shoot, so I caught some motion blurs and I think I knocked the second slightly outta focus too. Oh and yes I know I used a zoom lens from miles away but half way up our steep staricase I got the angle for these shots and I just culdn't get the same angle close up.

Major price changes since Free Trade
I never said there arent more people pking now than before this update. Only that is completely wrong to say that MOST people are. Pkers are still the minority to the majority of thoose not pking.

Major price changes since Free Trade
This is because most people are wanting to pk/duel using the new update, not skilling... :| This is because people make random assumptions that have no grounding what so ever in realistic statement or fact. At peak times most worlds are hitting around 1,800 mark. Averaging out across all the worlds you have like 100 pkers per world and 100 stakers per world (generous estimate but still) The equates to 200 pkers/stakers vs 1,600 people playing other content PER WORLD. Of that 1,600 you can prob right off a further 100 to merching/doing nothing Then of the remaining 1,400 probably about 400 go to minigames. And 500 each to skilling and general combat. Yes pkers and stakers make a lot of noise and it is popular; but of overall player population they are one of the smallest segments. no solid numbers but by just going around the world and having a basic grapse of logical numbers you can see theres no realistic way at all tht "most" are pking/staking. Looks to me like you just made those up, too. Are you basing the amount of pkers in a world on only those who are actually fighting? Or does that number include pkers that are stopping at the ge to re-up on supplies? How about pkers that are taking a break in Edge? You can call it logical, but you pulled those numbers out of your ass, exactly like the guy you quoted. They are rough estimates yes but all you gotta do is compare numbers in different areas and its clearly there's atleast twice as many people not pking or staking or at ge. It's a well known fact pkers make up a vocal but small slice of the rs community. Always have done always will. Just people seem to confuse noise for numbers. Eg you get say 50 threads on RSOF whining about an update ... "everyone" hates it; but what about the MILLIONS of people/accounts who said nothing? Pkers make a big fuss about their update etc all of a sudden pkers are the majority despite there being yet again millions of accounts saying nothing.
