  1. And there's a lone guy there screaming "Nothing is true." Later we find out he is lying.
  2. Hand them a beer and a kebab. Find an old oil lamp and give them an exp lamp. Oh! Oh! Come in dressed as the Slug Queen and tell everyone that you're thousands of years old, you have slugs taking over everyone's minds, and cannot be stopped by anyone. Then someone throws a rock at your head and you fall over and die for no reason. On another note, people in UK can't complain about the Ornate Katana since they get Runefests.
  3. It does strike me that way too. I think they just wanted to trim down on some of the open-ended quest chains. Next up, Rabid Jack in hiding in Daemonheim, there never was a cursed archipalego, and Mi-gor is never mentioned again.
  4. I still don't get the concept as experience being an end in itself. I find it to be a number to guage between levels and as rewards for certain stuff. Honestly, efficiency playing to me is like slitting the wrists of Runescape and letting all the fun drain out of it. If others find enjoyment in it, cool. Just never expect me to understand it.
  5. so much for other projects not affecting runescape's quality <_< A developer can take over other's people questchains without having them suffer terribly. Honestly though, don't they have phones? Can't they get the guy's extension, ring him up, and ask him if the story he came up follows well, or does it like this quest, does it destroy the whole storyline?
  6. Ah, so you kill them by kicking them in the butt?
  7. I won't be bothering with any of these things until Jagex's vanity item is a chestpiece that gives females big, fake boobs.
  8. Yes, love and all that, but Ian is also a dork.
  9. Jagex doing business with incompetent companies that can't adequately handle their needs?
  10. If the bug isn't gamebreaking, why worry about it? Every update has the potential for a Falador Massacre-style bug. If it involves messing with the code, anything can happen. It's a testament to the QA team that the biggest bug you have to worry about most of the time is graphical or the occasional quest-related glitch that is only slightly bothersome and usually fixed on the first day. I'm not saying Jagex's QA team is incredible but by no means is it a failure. because it's the small, annoying little glitches that will turn a player off. Ones that are too small to dicusss or talk about. Little things that can ruin a gameplay experience.
  11. Falador Massacre was part of a huge update of cutting edge, for Jagex at least, coding for POH's. I was also talking about the plethora of bugs that comes with every update it feels like, not the gamebreakers.
  12. Stewie, the QA department did pretty good with weekly updates for a good, long while. Maybe the updates are too complex. I personally think the script of the game has gotten very, very convoluted in the past year or two. Jagex seriously needs to bring their game back to code and do some real core work.
  13. What are these inconsistencies? Besides the one ad that represents their entire policy history, of course. I'm not getting involved in it. One side thinks they're flip flopping and the other side doesn't. Both sides then start arguing over each smaller point. -edit- And yes Bio, QA has been doing a rather poor job of it lately IMO.
  14. People end up debating all the little points with this stuff. It's akin to a doctor treating the symptoms instead of curing the disease. The crux of the whole matter is Jagex and what appear to be the inconsistencies in their policies.
  15. Actually Zynga has been very consistent about their grubbing of money. Jagex just puts on a flase face.
  16. Like a membership... WOW I SURE DO HATE FREE THINGS JUST FOR PLAYING, SCREW YOU JAGEX. Hey, their issue here is all these esoteric ways they're trying to promote their members game instead of doing it openly and honestly. Apparently the actual members game isn't enough anymore.
  17. BTW, this quest made me feel like I got violated in my circular quest hole. :shades: But really, Jagex is painting themselves in a corner by making DGing being only about the magics of Daemonheim instead of Dungeon-delving. There are a few places where it could be logical. ROTM for Bilrach, finding a Frem in the dungeons, etc. After that, it becomes hard and then you just end up forcing it in places where it doesn't belong.
  18. Year of clan updates, so that's unlikely. Yes, but I meant major ones, i.e. Citadels, camps, etc. I know we'll have more events and crap.
  19. Like a membership...
  20. It's not so much about them forcing DGing into quests, but more about them forcing Daemonheim into quest chains where it doesn't make any sense for it to be. In this example, Daemonheim is a square peg being pushed in a circular quest hole.
  21. I think a more appropriate quest title would've been "Covered in Dung."
  22. Will this be the last major clan update for a while? You've had quite a few lately. Maybe take a break?
  23. I said in the July BTS thread that it all seemed abrupt and maybe a way to just get rib of an extra storyline when they have so many. Seriously though, this quest didn't fit in with the series as all. What an abortion.
  24. Ready. Set. *yawn*
  25. Methinks you guys are overanalyzing this.
