I've been working on this face for a few days now, anything seem out of place, badly shaped? I'm thinking the perspective of the ear is somewhat off. EDIT: [hide=changes based on what Sy_Accursed said][/hide] excellent tips, that helped a lot.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
Indefinite, it's near impossible to successfully program bots now. I assume the economy will take a hit, but it will eventually recover with less skewed prices.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
I find it a refreshing break from the vague and empty words they usually post on the forums. They are enjoying themselves and so are many players in reading these replies. Let it be. No. They let bots go for years without even admitting bots existed and now they finally do something after 2 years and they want to act like they are gods gift to the world. Good for them it took them years to finally fix their broken game, but I won't give them props for it. They let it get so bad that it's going to directly harm them financially, and it's to the point now where RS will never recover and will probably be the death of their game. They wouldn't have tried this unless they knew the risk concerning the future of the company was minimal.

Bandos boots need +2 strengh
People usually equip the boots to prevent Bandos troops from attacking them in GWD. Otherwise it is much better to use dragon boots.

I don't think the nuke directly caught any bots, it just stops the bot programmers from taking advantage of the client. So yeah, this is a good solution, all bots are pretty much dead, they can't come back. The people being banned were probably already on their report list. The botting communities are usually made up of 5% hardcore elite programmers, 15% programmers in training, then 80% mindless rabble. :-P

EDIT: that ^^ Whatever uses the most planks to save time, the experience is based on planks used, it doesn't really matter what you make.

25-Oct-2011 - Bot-Nuking Day: Making RuneScape Fairer and More Fun!
Jagex never said there would be 1.5M bans going along with this. They said that they had recently banned 1.5M bots. All this does is prevent bots from continuing to bot. Doesn't ban them. Then every bot they've "banned" must've been an F2P noob account. That is, if they actually banned any accounts for botting. What about the high level botted accounts in P2P? They're not going to ban them? Well, they released the program that stops bots from working as an update. Most bots are usually down after an update anyways, so naturally there aren't going to be any on for them to ban. And really, most of the ex-bots probably won't be banned, because if the botting program doesn't work, they're not going to log on. So unless some moron tries to use his old, broken bot, then you aren't going to go up in ranks without gaining XP due to this. Just for the sake of asking then what is, essentially, a stupid question: why impose anti-botting measures if you're not going to permanently ban the bots? So they don't lose paying members? XP There's also the risk of wrongfully banning a bunch of people then having to process their appeals.

F2p Ranged training?
Minotaurs in the stronghold of security are great for early F2P ranged training. You may want to move on to hill giants later.

It's easy to detect bots which repeat the exact same input for hours straight, but it's near impossible to detect bots which behave similarly to a human player unless they glitch up. @ Sly_Wizard They seem pretty confident on the powerbot forum thread, I haven't checked any others though.

It should take ~900 oak planks to reach 45. So that would cost around 400k if you buy the planks - under 250k if you sawmill your own oak logs. Alternatively you could use ~250 oak planks to reach level 35, then switch over to teak. Then it will take ~450 teak planks to reach 45 (~700 planks in total).

So are the bots actually gone? XD because it would be hilarious if they weren't. At any rate, I suspect they will be back.

The world is ending on May 21st
All people expect the world to end at some point lol, not just Christians. I'm personally betting on us or something from space destroying it before the sun does. ~3 billion years is plenty of time. Ehh, I personally think we'll manage to do it ourselves far before that. I feel that some country will become nuke-happy and prove Obfuscator right. Also, to all of those religious people. The Bible says that whenever someone says that they know the day when the world will end; it won't end that day. Mutually assured destruction prevents any non-psycho person from launching nukes. Nukes are purely defensive. Too bad religious radicalism tends to be lacking in the sanity department.

Interracial Relationships. Yes or No?
We're more often attracted to different races compared to our own because it's genetically favourable to partner up with such people. Unfortunately, social values quite easily overpower our natural tendencies.

Is it really necessary to take these doomsaying scumbags seriously? Normally I wouldn't mind, but they're sowing the seeds of anxiety within paradigm of the young. Certainly not a good thing. Any rational thinker knows that religious claims are completely bogus, they aren't even worth discussion. Yes, Earth will eventually cease to exist, but I think It's safe to assume humanity will linger on (if we don't end up screwing ourselves over in between).

I have nothing against this show, but the rampant fanaticism from people who are obviously not the target audience weirds me out a little.

Anti-bot idea that could actually work
Jagex sounds pretty confident about ClusterFlutterer, but I suspect the bot programmers will make a come-back, they'll view it as another challenge. Perhaps ClusterFlutterer will be impossible to counter? That would be nice. The immediate landscape of the economy is going to change drastically, I'm glad I don't play any more . EDIT: Looks like bots are gone for good, excellent job Jagex. They basically prevented bot programmers from finding variable/object types within the client by switching them all to some sort of array.

Anti-bot idea that could actually work
There's no special costly software to detect bots. My best guess is that they're continually monitoring how long an individual has been logged in and how repetitive their overall inputs are. That way you can mostly likely detect piss-poor bot programs, but it could never detect the proper ones that most people use (unless they glitch up), ones that play similarly compared to a human (check experience, change tabs, shift the camera, mouse speed variation, etc) Updating random events would definitely require more effort, but it would be a vastly more effective solution to deal with botting as a whole.

Anti-bot idea that could actually work
I'm saying that over-regulation is a bad thing, why do you think Jagex reintroduced the wilderness and free trade earlier this year? Or like I mentioned, restored the time interval between randoms? In this case, choking does not even solve the problem of all bots, yet it affects the entire player-base - not a wise suggestion. If anything, Jagex should update the random events more frequently, there's no need for a mechanic which isn't automated. Random events are utterly pointless if they're old (just like anti-virus software). Jagex simply has to stay one step ahead by continually rendering the anti-random codes ineffective. It isn't enough to change a few ID numbers within the existing randoms, that is easily addressed by the bot programmers. What's the harm in a few new random events every game update? It would also provide legit players with more interesting content instead of giving them a gun to point at each other.

Anti-bot idea that could actually work
Like random events :PSince we are used to random events I dont think people would mind doing these questions more than once each day and from his examples it looks like they would take as long as a miles random. Remember random events used to be MUCH worse, I distinctly recall how frustrating it was getting a random every 15 minutes or so.
