  1. The only people I can think of that would use these, is those that drop it regardless... but then again it is a waste for them as the ores would be less worth then the value of the porter.

  4. Cheefoo and I got in a discussion about Porters VS Old Juju Mining Potion VS New Juju Mining Potion. But I am also interested in the general opinion here. He believed that the porters is actually superior to the old juju and a nice combination with the new effect of the jujus. For those who doesn't know: The new juju mining potion now smelt gold ore to gold bars and also 'smelt' coal. But smelted coal doesn't yield any bars and is thus removed from inventory, This happens if you find the stone spirit. You'll get the same smithing exp as you would get when smelting Gold ore/Coal to Gold bar/Steel bar. While under effect of the potion you'll be granted 10% bonus experience to all ore you mine (excl extra ores by star/varrock armour) The old juju mining potion was simple. When you found a stone spirit you would get the ability to auto bank gold ore/coal for the next 30 seconds. This effect would even last if the potion would have ended before all 30 secs were over. Each dose of both jujus last 5 minutes. The porters are items that were released with the latest update: Divination. These items go into your pocket slot (thus no rockcrushing scrimshaws!!!) and will bank up to 30 items depending on which porter you have. For the sake of optimal setups we go for the highest porter: Sign of Porter VI. This item allows you to bank 30 items 100%. Now the requirements for both items: The juju mining potion is being made at the Herblore Habitat activity. One would need 1 Samaden herb, 1 Draconic Vine and a juju vial. These have a requirement of 80 Farming, 80 Hunter and 74 Herblore. This potion is made completely DiY and it and all its components are untradeable (besides the vial). Now the porter. As said earlier I'll take the Porter VI. This item requires 80 incandescent energy and 1 Diamond Necklace. You need a Divination level of 99 to make this item. The value of the energy is unknow. The current value of Diamond Necklace is 2700, but I suspect this will be rising. Lets say the total value to make it is 16,000 gp. Actually my arguments regarding this change and it versus porter: - It actually is a nerf because of a less effective effect compared to the old one. (Banking ores -> less dropping -> plus some cash; even if you are speed mining) - Banking the ores nets quite some cash. So the ability of the old Juju was useful for everyone but 1 tiny group. The speed smith + bar droppers. People who wanted fast mining exp by dropping ores could with the old effect atleast get some but of cash. People who banked all ores had some relaxation. - This potion makes mining more afk'able. - Effect of the potion lasts 5 mins, within those 5 mins we bank more ores on average then with the portents. - It is less inventory space because you can brink up to 6 doses or for 30 minutes in 1 inventory spot. Can you last that long while also banking similar amount with the portents? - The portents last around 1 min each and the most you can bring with you is about 20 or something if you use urns. - The method on obtaining the Jujus are very balanced in that it need to be made yourself from scratch. - In LRC you can just bank aswell so Portents are less usefull there anyways... - There is probs more, but oh well...   5. Since their nerf with Mining Juju potions, mining actually got less afk. Except signs of the porter are like 10x better. Even porter level 3 is amazing, and it has rather reasonable div requirement. Juju minings+porters=amazing. I didn't say porters were bad, I said that mining got less afk because jujus got worse...

  11. Technically, he wouldn't have needed exp to be rank 1 in highscores, just have the first account (remember herblaw highscores showing the order of account creation). That said, account number 9 has been active again since a bit over a year. Correction: Carpentry was the skill ;D!
  12. Not true, it works only for the first 4 people. The enriched spring is using them to prolong the life of the sprin itself. I had my regular memory turned into an enriched memory when I was definitely not one of the first four people to siphon from it. Correction the, the first who who has a non-enriched memory he/she could 'offer'.
  13. To be honest I know only of 2 locations where it isn't worth it to collect Chronicles and turn them in. These locations are South of Sophanem and Dragontooth Island. All other locations have a relative swift return possibility: Level 1 spot: Amulet of Glory -> Teleport to Draynor -> run to site. Level 10 spot: Falador Teleport Tablet -> Falador square -> Run to site. Level 20 spot: Two options here: Ardougne cloak tele -> Run to site [or] talk to the druid -> tele to automaton room -> exit at cracked door -> run to site. Level 30 spot: Digistie pendant -> run to site. Level 40 spot: Tokkul-Zo -> Run to fairy ring -> Zanaris -> Slayer cave -> at site. Level 50 spot: Tokkul-Zo -> Run to fairy ring -> Zanaris -> South of tai bwo wannai -> run to site [or] Graak teleport -> run to site. Level 60 spot: Duel ring to Mobilising armies tele -> at site. Level 70 spot: Slayer ring -> Slayer tower -> Run to site. Level 80 spot: Tokkul-Zo -> run to fairy ring -> Polypore Dungeon -> Run to site. Level 95 spot: Tokkul-Zo etc...

  16. Dragonseance pretty much lost the fight now... He is 3 levels behind and the number 1 is at 89, possibly 90. Drumgun is still going but is about 500k behind #1 at rank 10. Suomi is at level 85. So the big battle is pretty much over, unless something drastic occurs like with Jamie.
  17. Do you have more specific numbers for non-qh T8 rates? I was honestly very very surprised that I was achieving similar experience post-nerf. Also 51k/hr w/o energy seems about right. Based on very crude math using my 49k figure, experience at 80+ using energy half the time should be about 54k/hr so that seems reasonable. That's very interesting. Is there anything you're doing that's different than how I said I've been training? I'm interested to see how much you get with energy, perhaps I haven't been training optimally. Meh, all I can think of is that I managed to get more chronicles in a shorter time.
  18. I timed another hour at 76 and got aprox 50k that hour without the use of energy ;D!
  19. Please also report if you did with or without energies =3! I tracked 1h at level 75 and I got 40k/h aprox w/o energies...

  21. I disagree Scherzo. This skill has been designed with social interaction in mind. Tell me how can you be social interactive if you need to click constantly? (Aka non-afk) Or constantly need to do something in the game?? This leads away from the social interaction. So what this skill needed is semi-afkness which we got now (if you hunt Chronics). What does worry me is the huge experience points I get at 90+ for hunting those chronics. I get just over 1k exp at the moment thanks to enchanted Yaktwee, but we are training Divination, not Hunter! And I try to get the most experience points out of it!
