And besides, it's only 2 bucks to get members on a new made account! If you then use that account to play 07Scape then it doesn't matter because everyone starts fresh!

lilyuffie. It was a big event when she got to 99(probably the last time any 99 was, really). *ahem99construction**ahemahemmhemm* Basically any skill released after that... Hunter, Summoning and Dungeoneering! There is also Runecrafting and Slayer due to both very slow skills. Farming came after those 2, which is also very logically! High level seeds were very rare! The only monster to drop them are the Dragon Implings and Commander Zilyana in 2007! In 2010 the next monster came out to drop these. So until then, the main training methods were lower level'd tree seeds. Even Yew seeds were very rare as only 1 monster before '10 dropped these! And if you say "What about bird nests?" The chances on these are very rare and the main method of obtaining these nests requires quite a lot of quests! So you are going to tell me how rare seeds were when farming came out? uhh. I only used the highest seeds available, apart from herbs, because herb seeds were nameless and getting high leveled ones was basically impossible without getting scammed. The mage seeds i bought ranged from like 200 to 300k each and i bought them at a hefty premium(because i couldn't have been arsed to buy from the source), but i only really needed one or two suppliers. Remember- seeds were released like 1-2 months before farming was. What i meant by the lilyuffie comment was that it was a real community event when she got the level, and even jagex acknowledged it. Rc was just considered an inevitability, zezima never made any fuss about slayer(he was really lucky to get it first though), farming wasn't a big deal, construction only took 6 days and so on. Back then, 99 prayer was similar to 200m all is now. I didn't know seeds were 2 months earlier o.O Well then people could've stocked them up =3.

Same. Hoping html5 is another RS->RSHD type change. I also hope it puts a less drain on our computers. I have no idea if that actually is possible o.O

2007 - Old School RuneScape... You Vote! - [It's Here!]
I'not voting because I'm not going to play it... Although my interest is there, if I do not play it, why then vote? This vote is to gauge true interest for people that want to play it! Although I'm not against voting, I would vote if it gets close to a certain point (eq 250k/500k/750k) and it could push them over that mark. I do believe 1 vote can make a difference! But if at for example the day of the end of this poll, is still like at 200k votes, then I refrain from voting because it wont get close...

You sir are crazy. I once trained 60k by doing laps with pendants. I hated it, never going back to run another lap, if this is the only thing that keeps me from maxxing so be it. My hat is off to you. ofc I will assume that you botted, cause that's just how i roll No, I can understand why he likes agility soo much! I like the skill too, but I need the help of classical music to keep me on pace =D! Also unlike Jebrim, I like to twist the camera angle while agilitizing =3. Yet I think I'm rather efficient, efficient enough for me to say the least.

Oh I would like to ask Jebrim this: Are you now planning on getting 600m agility on a single account? 200m in classics, 200m in '07 scape and your current 200m in main game. Would be awsome if that would happen =D! But I can understand if you say no, as you cannot multilog with the same account, so you cannot play classic and '07scape at the same time. However, do you see it as a viable thing to do?

Same thing could be said to you... Leave people be with their own decision. Dont just utter say "Omg just vote, I have an huuuuugee egoism so you gotta help me out here !!!!" *Disclaimer: I over exaggerate!* I agree one should be able to try and convince someone, just do so at a mature level, with arguments and facts! Not with just personal preference: "I want it so shut up and vote yes." That will only encourage to abstain from voting! Besides, I wont vote because of reasons I posted earlier... I do have an interest in it, but I know I wont use it.

I have an desire to play '07Scape, yet I will not vote! This is due that I know, I wouldn't be able to stand starting over from scratch while I achieved a lot in the current game. (Eg 90 base, working on maxing and there are 2 new skills coming out this year!)

Actually I want to make 1 small point: The dividing community thing is in this case the same as people on different worlds chatting with each other through Friend Lists. I wonder if the will implement the Clan Chat and/or Friends Chat! Wait just looked up, these updates were on August 6th 2007. So there won't be as much dividing of the community as people think! It still can be connected through these features!

I will only vote if its close to 750k+ votes. This is because if it does come, then it needs to be safe!!! Eg. No or few bots etc!

I hate it when stuff like that doesn't even show up in patch notes :( If it doesn't show up on patch notes or not mentioned on the forums, treat it as a bug and report it. Perhaps they will address it if they see 10,000 people sending in bug notes about something which was ridiculously nerfed when there are so much more things which should be higher priority like GWD and the QBD. I guess the market doesn't matter as much. They already addressed it in the faq.

12-Feb-2013 - Slayer Tower: Revamped
Slayer Tower: Revamped (members only) The Slayer Tower is an imposing sight for new arrivals to Morytania, and it's even more so after today's graphical update. As ever, the Slayer Tower's a great place to complete Slayer Assignments for a range of RuneScape's more macabre monsters. From today, you'll also be able to complete Slayer Contracts within the tower. These work in a similar way to Slayer Assignments, as they involve killing a set number of specific creatures, although they must be completed within the Slayer Tower, and the rewards work differently. You can take on a Slayer Contract by speaking to Markus, just outside the Slayer Tower. Markus will show you his list of normal contracts. You can then choose whichever of these you like best, take a contract scroll from Markus and head into the tower to get slaying. Be sure to keep the scroll with you, as kills won't count towards the contract otherwise. This won't affect any Slayer Assignment you already have; kills that count towards a normal contract will not count towards your assignment. Once the contract is complete, bring the scroll back to Markus to claim your payment. He'll offer you a choice between a healthy helping of coins or XP in the core combat skill of your choice (with some limitations). You'll also get a little Slayer XP as you kill each monster: 20% of the amount you'd have received if you killed the monster for a Slayer Assignment. If you already have a Slayer Assignment to kill suitable creatures, Markus will offer you a special contract instead of the normal list. His special contracts match the type of creature that you've been assigned, effectively giving you a 20% uplift to your Slayer XP, plus a choice of combat XP or coins. There's an Early Bird bonus available for the next two weeks, doubling the combat XP or cash that you'll receive from the first normal contract that you complete within that time. Our Graphics Team have done some superb work on the Slayer Tower, and its spooky Second Age look fits in well with the new lore we've introduced. Keep an eye out for books written by the tower's architect - General Viggora - and by the mage responsible for populating the tower with its monstrous residents. We've also replaced some of the old agility shortcuts with stairs for easier access, but we've added a new one which grants access to a new rooftop, where more of the highest levelled enemies are available for those of you with at least 71 Agility. Whether you're looking to bullseye some banshees, knock out some nechryaels or take an axe to some Abyssal demons, the Slayer Tower's the place to go. Head on over there now and start slaying! Mod Ash How to start Slayer Contracts: Speak to Markus outside the Slayer Tower. To get there from Varrock, leave via the east gate and take the path northeast, and then head through the passage beneath the Temple. Once you're through, head north to reach the Slayer Tower. Requirements: You must be a RuneScape member. At least one inventory space for the contract scroll. Slayer Contracts have the same Slayer level requirement as their targeted monsters, ranging from 5 to 85. . To access the additional gargoyles, nechryaels and Abyssal demons on the roof, you will need 71 Agility. Retired Random Event NPCs Return (free players and members) Retired Random Event NPCs Return (free players and members) Just before Christmas, the random events that were a long-standing part of RuneScape were removed. The NPCs involved in these have now been brought back to live out their retirements in the game. These include Mr Mordaut, whose new tenure at Varrock Museum heading up the Department of Unnatural History has allowed him to start some important research on the dragonkin. He'll share this never-before-revealed lore with you for the asking, and will grant you Kudos if you have information to share with him, and a one-time Slayer XP reward for those who help him with a particular breakthrough. Other highlights include the Mysterious Old Man in Draynor, and Iffie's costume shop in Varrock, where the old random event costumes can be purchased for coins. Purchasing any of the mime or gravedigger pieces will also unlock their related emotes. Have fun catching up with these iconic NPCs, and finding out what they're up to. Mod Srowley Behind the Scenes Video Mod Osborne talks lore and the Slayer Tower in our latest Behind the Scenes video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yC7jAHohoSo In Other News Valentine's Day comes around this week, and Yelps will have some romantically themed items on the Squeal of Fortune from the 14th. Hate all that mushy stuff? No problem - there's a darker alternative on offer! Don't forget to check out our gruesomely grand Demonflesh Armour on Solomon's General Store! The camera will no longer become stuck on zoom when toggling between action bars during the Queen Black Dragon fight. The 'player is currently busy' message will no longer interrupt use of the action bar. Ganodermic beasts are no longer aggressive. Patch Notes:

And that minor is around a 4% DPS increase. Basically any DPS increase also means the following: Less damage taking, less prayer points used, less food eaten due to less damage taken, faster kills, that means fast loots and an increase in gp/h! There's probably way more things that can be affected just by a tiny boost as this. BTW why did noone comment on my earlier point that I still think that it holds value =d...

Maybe because there are no afk alternatives to agility and thieving. I feel you just put the others in there because they are slow, but players use afk methods for them. Woodcut has afk methods: Ivy. Mining has Lava Flow Mine. Slayer is the only skill truely not afk-able now...
