Don't forget in video you can wield a melee weapon and crossbow, that will complicate matters as to which prayer/ability to use In reference to the off hand weapon news from ModRathe, wonder what reqs. they will have, such as can you wield OH Drag scim. without completing MM etc. and will they have a def. req to use also

shield and sword back holstering almost makes up for not being able to wield items in opposite hands :D Hotbars look very helpful seeing as you can add prayers/pots/equipment changes to them Very excited to try beta now

W84 is the 'main' lrc world as far as I'm aware, that's why you lag so badly, I've heard W77 is decent lrc world (or so i've been told) but for safety from creatures I'd stick with 84

I'm pretty sure it's legit and they wouldn't just give beta keys to just anyone. Ahh I must have missed the part about all weapons in a similar tier getting similar dps. claws will plummet even more then i'm guessing.

Well seeing as Jagex said they're removing the claws special and making it an ability for smaller weapons, it will be hard to tell to after beta release, just depends how well Jagex re-balance them I suppose. Edit: took this info from runescape wikia about specials on weapons; 'More recently, with the introduction and further information of the Combat beta, Dragon claws have started to crash heavily due to Mod Rathe confirming the loss of special attacks on all weapons in-game, thus making the dragon claws virtually useless, putting it at its current street price of about 8 million GP. This could also be due to the new abilities making weapons in-game losing their individuality, which made their price so high to begin with. Another notable victim of the future updates are the Godswords.' Edit2: confirmation that weapons that rely on special attacks now being re-balanced 'According to Mod Rathe, the infamous special attack of the dragon claws is now being reworked in to an ability called "Flurry", which could be used by a range of "small" weapons. supposedly the gravite 2h is supposed to be good for f2p pking from what i've heard (b axe speed/high crush attack/high str) but i'm no Pker and never did f2p Pking either so take it with a grain of salt

I really hope this is true, so glad I've not spent any dg tokens on augury/rigour yet :D The ovl thing doesn't really affect me, nut will defo shake up future pvp and other versions of turmoil would be welcome, now just to get 95 prayer to even use them ...

Yea I get that too when I first log in for the day and I go into this whole panic attack mode because of it. No idea what's goig on with this, but it is indeed aggravating. :wall: So glad I'm not the only one this affects, I can log out the night before and not log back in for over 12-16 hours and whenever I try and log into a world I get the logged out message, yeah I've seriously been logged in all night and most of the following day :/ lol

hmm so it's true it is a dragon defender in his right hand, wonder if that means we can choose what hand we wield off-hand items in, and finally use weapons in our left hand. would be a nice touch.

I think Jagex summed it up best all those years ago when they made there rules "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape." Seems a far cry from what's happening now, maybe they should take a leaf from there own book and remove buyable spins if nothing else, but preferably the entire damned SoF update

It is do-able without chaotics, I used gano, nezzy, ardy cape, drag def, korasi, barrows gloves, d boots, zerker ring and rune c'bow + diamond (e) bolts for when he froze me to spot I had plenty of rocktails, war tort full of rocks and few prayer pots for constant piety praying, hardest part I ran into was keeping hp up when he went berserk melee, gano def there sucks. Was about 124 combat (i think) then with 99 att, 90 str 90 def, 78 ranged, 86 mage. Took me about 5-6 attempts to manage in end, best tip i found was hide when he cloned, and just waited out the clones, saved so much food. Gl though on your future attempts :D

I think the complaint is centred around the fact that SoF is in your face upon login, unlike d&d's/tears of guth etc. that you have to physically travel to to take part in, most people spin the wheel to remove the annoying pop up every single time you log in, and if your lagging/busy irl you can't always remain logged in for long periods, I regularly have to hide the spin reminder 10-15+ a day, it does get very frustrating If Tears appeared as a pop up and didn't require 100k xp/1Quest to use weekly, everyone would do that too I bet, there's helping players and giving lazy players an obvious advantage of xp/items/gp for doing nothing than logging into the game. As well as paying irl cash for more spins

Way to go back on your word Jagex... first you endorse RWT with SoF spins and then you introduce another discontinued 'rare' item...what next..I dread to think :/

Not exactly the same problem but i'm getting sick to my back teeth of the same issue when i log out and back in to almost any runescape world.....'your account has not successfully logged out from it's last session, please try again later' I can try different worlds, log out fully and back in and it keeps popping up, and when I do finally manage to get back in, I get harassed by that SoF crap (all because I refuse to spin on moral grounds).. so aggravating urgh :/

hard to believe it's been 6 years ago already, where does the time go.. I was on a temporary hiatus from runescape for 6 months when it happened, heard about it 2-3 days after it happened though
