  1. In Uk this isn't the case. Yes it has to be sold at the price advertised, but if it goes out of stock and then the offer ends before stock is returned it does not have to be sold at that price because it is not longer advertised at this price. By all means if it was allowed to go out of stock on purpose it'd be illegal and I'm sure if you did come in on the last day or 2 and stock was out some stores at least would let you pay the offer price when delivery came in; but it's a statutory right. Most big supermarkets/retailers here won't say you can pay for it today at offer price and pick it up next week when it's in back in stock and offer has ended, unless you use a specially created reservation system online or instore, smaller shops/market stores mIght be inclined to do such a thing for sake of custom in future. Anyway back to my original point Subject to availability is just there pre-warn customers that a shop can't always have everything in stock 100% of the time. As In regards to the disclaimer Jagex used in posts, in my eyes it's saying we can't guarantee to keep these instakill darts off the Solomon store/SOF but we'll try until IVP kick up enough of a fuss to make us add them. Although saying that now we have confirmation they won't work at kiln/fight caves people may not see the need to get them. So long as Jagex don't go back on there word again.
  2. I can't see them ever removing the SOF as long as they keep buyable spins on it. as for introducing items to Solomon that give stats/xp boosts or other advantages, very likely in the very near future, seeing as they've already released alternatives to bonus xp weekends on the SOF.
  3. They slap that on the end of every future update post. Still a potential get out clause if the darts prove popular enough, similar to subject to availability clauses on sale items in shops. They try not to run out but if they do customer has no grounds for complaints. This clause on the end of posts just serves the same purpose or has the potential to, they say now items won't be sold in Solomon's store or put on SOF, but just wait til IVP get greedier or Solomon's store proves less of a profit maker than expected. Then I expect fully to see all 4 items for sale. I distrust Jagex ever since the whole no more free trade/wildy U-turn and removal of real life clause of RWT rule after SOF buyable spins were released. funny thing is that "subject to availability" is illegal in the EU: if you see it is sold out & they are planning to get the same item again later, you are in full rights to expect the reduction - given you were in the shop at the time of the sale. Only if they don't get that item anymore they are not obligated. Those clauses in a normal environment hold no meaning as the goal - obscuring information for customers - is against the honour code on advertisement. Well it's legal in the UK, or a lot of major companies are breaking the law. It's happened, goodbye free bonus xp weekends hello, all year round buyable bonus xp :/ another great move by IVPex...

  5. this.. I see a get out clause for buyable darts tbh..
  6. So they're nearly useless in terms of long-term impact. That's relieving. I'll probably dart a jad task or two and then use the remainder on nex solos on the night of their expiration. how would you dart 2 if it can only be used once? You get to pick a total of 4 reward items, from the available 4 listed. I assume that since they are giving you a choice and there are only 4 items, this means you can choose multiple of a certain item.
  7. They like you to hover over your total exp. as well in stat updates ^^
  8. With Jagex's current track record of keeping there word I find those chances slim to none :) Prime example...
  9. Yes but the torch IS part of the outfit, at least in my eyes so total weight of the outfit is -2kg. Full outfit to me is hat, top, legs, gloves, boots, ring & torch. To you it may be, but not to all. And the nice guy was just explaining that it can give -4kg which is pretty darn good to know for a f2pper, seeing as this is like the only weight reducing gear f2p has so will be EPICALLY useful to miners, fishers, woodcutters etc. I get what he was saying, and the weight reduction will be a life saver for f2pers definitely, add to that the fact the outfit looks decent to boot (unlike wicked robes :/) Was simply saying in my eyes the torch is necessary to 'complete' the outfit ^^
  10. Wouldn't hold my breath on them never being sold by solomon or more than likely sneaking onto the SOF at some point when IVP get desperate for more cash.
  11. Those rewards seem meh...the dart sounds interesting unless Jagex slap on some restrictions to prevent people using it on Jad or the KIln. Which sounds like a typical Jagex nerf in my experience. Guess we'll have to wait and see. EDIT: This sounds ominous inb4superrareSOFrewardInstakilldarts

  13. Gold has -4 kg, silver -2kg & bronze has no reduction actually. All my pictures of equip screen are true values, no items in inventory etc. to alter weights
  14. Spotted a certain mage in the cheese rolling event ;P
  15. It would skew the game too much towards player's favour. They would need to balance this by some additional penalties (e.g. player is knocked out more easily than the opponents.) I think head-to-head and resource race are surprisingly fun. Cheese rolling is incomprehensible though. Cheese rolling event is there to spam earn contribution :P got myself full gold, both emotes, title, full bronze and half the silver outfit in just over an hours cheese rolling last night. (herculean ring makes it so much easier) Full outfits here..
  16. How about the fact we have had more RWT updates this last 2 or 3 months than quests this year? (assuming you take every SOF update as an individual + solomon) Oh yes and that shambolic piece of pr by MMG claiming 90% of players support buyable spins :/
  17. The thought of being a 'soft user' of botting is an intriguing one, I honestly admit to buying items for quick levels/quest items on the GE for a quick fix mainly for convenience with two young children under 3 to look after. Ways to counter this would be hard though, like Arceus said it would create a viscous circle of undercutting prices, sure it would stop bots eventually but make the items undesirable for players after profit. Who knows maybe Jagex may come up with a viable option to this solution (probably not seeing as they're too busy releasing RWT updates/content) EDIT: An idea to avoid making players lose out over bots on GE...put some sort of taxation on GE purchases, but none on player to player. Example say you sell an item on the GE for 1mil, the buyer pays 1mil for it, but you only get back 900k after paying a 10% GE sellers tax. the spare 100k goes somewhere..unsure where but would encourage more player to player trading.
  18. And actually its better for them to have the complaints on the RSOF because they can use robots.txt to stop google indexing the rants. When people post about them on other sites they have no say in their page rank or search results etc. Just another typical Jagex knee-jerk failed fix to a problem it seems ^^ and surely there is ways to bypass the filter if people saw fit, they already do it ingame as it is or used to pre filter removal
  19. You say it's censorship gone mad, then go on to say it's understandable to protect a status in the public eye. What even. I can understand why IVP felt the need to get the censor but at the same time I don't think they deserve the censor, they bring it on themselves ruining games to further there greed, that being said censoring IVP will do nothing to stop the complaints, and ultimately do nothing to improve there 'image'. Honestly I consider companies like IVP nothing but parasites, If they can't handle the heat of changing a game that didn't need endorsed rwt for nearly 10+ years get out of the kitchen.
  20. Censorship gone mad tbh, maybe in future IVP and Jagex will think twice before changing there own rules on rwt to make a quick buck from there players. Overall though I can understand why they had to, to protect IVP's status and public image. Just a shame that it's all self inflicted on IVP's & Jagex's behalf.
  21. How so? I don't see any proof that the most players are from the USA, there is a large Eurpoean player base and based on the top players as a small sample base, there are substantially more European and English players than American, according to what we know from the 200mil thread. For quick reference; also allar and drumgun are dutch i believe and i think paperbag is american Allar is from Finland I think. Allar is from Estonia but he lives in Finland.
  22. That's addiction for you :P Starts up a Runescaper'sAnonymous meeting.
  23. Where is everyone getting this $45 thing from? that's the price jagex quoted in news feed Seems odd seeing as Jagex are English based to use $ over £ in there examples.. The vast majority of their customers are from the United States, and converting from USD to any other denomination is pretty commonplace. I don;t think we have any hard statistics to allow us to state as fact that the majority of customers are from x. Also currency commonplace is entirely subjective to where you are, for a UK based company it is commonplace to use GBP and convert from that to whatever denomination you might want. It is certainly not an international commonplace to use USD as some sort of 'master' currency everyone can convert from. I was thinking the same thing sy, surely it would've made more sense to display the value in pound sterling/£. Sure jagex had there reasons for opting for the $ approach though, would be nice to see a breakdown of player location though, even if it's purely continental. Wonder how many players would be from North America as opposed to Europe or Asia.
