  1. Be careful with that much text, I'm assuming (and I could be wrong) you don't have pecs the size of the Hulk so the text will have to be to a degree small. Make sure you research your artist to make sure they do clean, fine work when it comes to text. The last thing you want is an artist going too deep causing blowouts in the ink and the link blurring out under the skin and making it look like crap. Also, just so you're aware I would do some research into the sugar skulls, I have one myself, and I got it because I wanted one, however because of my lack of umm.. hispanic/latin background (I'm more vanilla than the cream in an oreo) it can be seen as culturally insensitive. People that get uptight about that, "you're not chinese so don't get kanji" are just jackasses, but it does help to know your shit if it's a cultural symbol.
  2. Sure I could have been much nicer, I will 100% agree with that, but it's the internet, begin by trolling end by strolling. Haters gonna hate. :-P
  3. I understand I was a jerk, and actually that was the point. It wasn't until I was a complete ass to everyone that you guys actually stopped for a second and thought about the opinions and advice being dished out here. Constrictor, my knowledge isn't based on "Google" as if that were the case it would probably lead me to a forum much like this one where inappropriate advice is being handed out. I've been a part of the tattoo industry/world since I was a child due to having a family member in the trade and taking a profound interest in the art. Being an artist myself, albeit graphic design, I surrounded myself by some insanely cool, knowledgeable, and talented artists that are extremely open to answering any and all questions. Let me explain why I feel some of the opinions or advice here is misplaced. 1. Draw the tattoo on yourself - That statement right there is strictly an opinion, and I'll be completely honest I believe it's stupid. For the simple reason you KNOW what you're getting into with a tattoo, you know you're permanently marking your body. It's a simple decision of, "Can I live with a permanent marking or not?" I don't feel it's necessary to draw your tattoo on yourself for months on end to see if you can live with it. The burden of deciding to mark your body is actually rather small, the largest burden is the design you come up with and deciding if you can live with it for years to come. Now permanency in today's world is somewhat relevant as you can decide to pay through the nose and have it removed via laser treatment, just be prepared for that decision. But if at any point the thought crosses your mind during the planning process, "Well I can always get it removed later," I think you've just answered your question whether or not you can live with a permanent marking. 2. Tattoo artists won't turn down tattoo's - This is actually 100% false in terms of hand tattoo's. Reputable, talented artists will turn away hand and neck tattoo's on the regular. There are two main reasons, a moral compass and reducing of their own stress. The moral compass is an attempt to make you evaluate what you are about to embark on with these types of tattoos, no matter how big or small on the hands are still not well perceived (unfortunately) in today's society/workplace. The reducing of stress is simply because they don't want to deal with the bullshit when you come screaming back in a year you're having a hard time finding a job. 3. Tattoo's that mean something are better than a piece that is just cool - I'm going to explain this from the perspective of someone that judge's tattoo competitions and shows. As it was told to me by a judge I spoke to one on one after they had judged a show. They don't give a rats ass what your tattoo means, why you got it, where it's placed, and how you came to decide this was a permanent marking you wanted forever. They're judging overall aesthetics, technique, etc. It's been said many times here, a bad tattoo that means something or didn't cost a lot, will not suddenly become a good tattoo because you explain its' meaning to me or tell me you got a killer deal. A bad tattoo is still a bad tattoo. At face value all tattoos do have a meaning, I have a zombie Clint Eastwood on my right thigh and Vader holding a hologram Yoda on the other, why did I get them, I like zombies, I like Eastwood and Star Wars, and the pieces were badass. So at face value, the mean something to me because I "liked the art" however, this isn't the meaning most people speak of. Most people are seeking a pensive deep philosophized meaning, you have one chance to impress most people with your tattoo's, and that's at first sight. Your brain makes decisions a full SEVEN SECONDS before your conscious even realize its' been done. Simply put, we can hate or like something before we even actually know we do. If you guys want a serious crash course in tattoos and to learn quite a bit about the history of tattooing and the culture that surrounds it, then I point you to the following moving pictures... 4. What you guys are talking about aren't "views" or opinions you're trying to pass them off as actual fact. So it comes down to this fact alone; I know more than you in every single way about this subject. End. Of. Story.
  5. This is like a circle jerk of people that know nothing about tattoos sharing the most horrific advice and acting as if their opinions and thoughts on the topics discussed in here actually have validity.
  6. No hand tattoo's if it's going to be your first, not to mention a lot of tattoo artists will not touch someones hands whom isn't already heavily tattooed.
  7. Do you have any other tattoos and what is the placement of those tattoos if so?
  8. I saw The Conjuring, it's actually a proper return to scary/horror films in the sense it relied on strictly its' scare factor to pull an R rating, don't get me wrong there was some profane language but basically next to zero blood. Unlike the remake of Evil Dead (which I did enjoy) but it relied on its' gore factor to pull an R rating and to get its' thrills. I thought the story behind The Conjuring was compelling and interesting.
  9. Obviously you know all that I'm about to write Azvy but I wanted to quote you so you can add on if you feel I missed anything. Or they'll apply the 50 to the overall price of your tattoo. Fact of the matter is, tattoo artists are glamourized to a degree in a rock star fashion and its' anything but. They're usually responsible for purchasing a lot of their own supplies, paying rent for their spot, etc. So no artist is going to essentially waste a large portion of their time for you to walk out the door and with a design and go to someone down the street to ink it. I suggest if you have an idea of what you want, you decide on a style you want to see it in, then determine artists you would like to have do the tattoo, from that point you can consult with the one you officially want to do the tattoo and pay for them to draw it up. I've experienced this in freelance design, "Hey I have a few ideas for a logo could you give me a quick couple sketches so I can see it more lifelike," sure for a consultation fee. No offense to you and this is just speaking in generalities but if the person isn't willing to pay that consultation fee up front, they're probably going to be a bastard to get money out of once I do the actual work or won't even follow through with me completing the work.
  10. Because I know your gaming habits. Totally forgot about that.
  11. Lol you just realized this? They nerfed them but obviously not enough as they still crap on SMG's in CQB and can even outshoot AR's from medium range. It's a complete joke.
  12. Apparently in my country it's easier to give them a gaming system and let that do the babysitting. Which is all good and well but these parents just let them play and don't even monitor what they're doing. We all get frustrated, and a couple years ago before I bought my house I was living with my parents and they even STILL yell at me if my language got out of hand haha. My parents have NEVER stopped being parents. It's quite sad to see. I haven't touched BO2 or any COD in WEEKS. With the impending release of XBox One and PS4, I decided to update my gaming computer. It's now boasting 16GB of RAM, a 128 GB SSD for my OS, basic program installs, and a 500GB Samsung 840 Series SSD for all my game installs. Core i7 3770K 3.5 GHz CPU with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler at which I have it overclocked to 4.2GHz (I could go higher but I want to make sure it can maintain proper CPU temps before I decide to go higher). I then dropped in a Sapphire Vapor-X 7970 GHz Edition GPU, which I'm going to overclock here fairly soon. All wrapped in a pretty Define Fractal R4 case.
  13. Anyone looking to hop into BF3, it's only $5 for PC on Origin for a limited time.
  14. Ghosts WILL be on 360, but will be the final COD (obviously) on this current generation of consoles. Activision would be committing franchise suicide if they only released the game on Next-Gen when One/PS4 will only be coming out in November along with COD. 90-95% of your population easily will be on 360/PS3 still due to high price tag and low supply.
  15. Some of us ain't wimps ;) Though admittedly I just about cried knowing I was going to have a fake tooth in the front of my face from now on.
  16. Yeah we present that option in airsoft to surrender, if they choose to try and be a smartass and fire you just light them up. Airsoft doesn't have to be full face gear, just full seal goggles. Also there's a lot of guys that just wear ammo dump pouches and carry spare mags on them. I have a full vest and such. I also wear a hat because first day I got shot point blank by a kid that didn't know the rules in the top of my head where my hairline starts and it bled like a SOB. A lot of us wear these...
  17. Well at my job I was hired in as a print designer to do design and put together out catalog with a small group, I still do that but we're currently in the process of launching a new ERP and B2B site, and I'm the only person with web development experience/knowledge so there's a lot on my plate to bring this thing home. In addition I manage and fix a lot of our IT issues, from setting up new weigh stations for UPS/FedEx scales to just fixing someones mouse by putting new batteries in it haha.
  18. I bought a ton of gear for Airsoft, and played twice haha. I'm the type of person that jumps in and wants/buys everything a veteran of the game that has been playing for years. However, MY VERY FIRST OUTING at a CQB indoor field, it was common for everyone to just wear fabric face masks that just hung loosely in front of the face. Well, last game of the night, CTF I get shot and go back to spawn. I step out from the spawn, someone had come in and the owner missed them to Chrono their gun. I got hit in my front left tooth with an airsoft pellet going 425 FPS. I'm sure you guys know most indoor fields are 350FPS or lower. Broke the tooth off about halfway up. I got the tooth fixed, went again the next week and all of us had steel mesh face masks to cover the lower part of our faces haha. Unfortunately the following week at work we had a big project in our lap and for about 18 months straight we were working 65-70 hours a week. I haven't gone since. I'd love to get back into it, just have to find some meetups and go that fit my schedule.
  19. Prestige =/= Skill. Level is all correlated to how much time you invest in the game and grind it. Now if you're talking about League Master's, achieving Master's in League is not difficult at all. Usually at the start of the season I play my placement games, get high up on platinum within a couple games of placement I get boosted high into master's like 2nd or 3rd, then I settle down around 25-30, sometimes higher if I play more that month.
  20. Detroit is insanely well-coached, well-organized and well-funded. They have been and shall remain a dominant force in hockey for years to come. If there is anything that the Red Wings know about, it’s winning-- and winning in the playoffs especially. They are the very model of a great hockey organization – perhaps even a great professional sports organization. So - ok - final four match ups. Any predictions? What's the chances for an original six match up in the Stanley Cup final? Not to sound complacent but I'm extremely pleased with how Detroit performed this year considering the number of vital people they lost in the past two years alone; of course I'd have loved to see them finish off Chicago in game 5. This off-season we will see a big focus on people that can make an immediate impact for us but I know we'll see a lot of the fresh faces we saw this year come back next year. The amount of experience they gained from 14 playoff games is immeasurable. Obviously it exposed some glaring holes where lines can be restructured and people that need to level their heads and stop with the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde performance (Smith) but it will help us immediately and in the long run. I'm excited for the future of Detroit, we're at a point where Babcock kind of has a team that's definitely all his own and there's really no players from the Bowman era (obviously not saying that in a negative manner because look at the work they did with him as a coach. But Babcock is truly one of the great coaching minds in the league, and has that uncanny ability to bring out the best performances in even his "weakest" players.
  21. Last nights game would have been vastly different had Howard not choked on the Penalty Shot like usual, though I think awarding a penalty shot to begin with was a pretty weak call. But don't take what I'm saying as an insult toward Howard, I think he's easily one of the top 3 goalies in the league, he just has a record for bellying up in clutch situations like that. They look better then they did in Game 1 in the past 2 games, but still pretty bad, if they can recapture that same intensity from games 2-4, they should be in good shape come tomorrow night. Also, Abdelkader needs to calm his ass down.
  22. I'm surprised Treyarch hasn't patched this but at the same time, it's such a pain in the ass feat to accomplish I wonder if they don't feel it's worth their time to do so. On another note, my team took a break from League play and scrims this week to just do pubs and oh how do I miss being a pub stomp star. In Leagues and scrims, my only real opportunity to snipe is when we play SnD and I generally use a DSR50 since there's forgiveness in how high I have to hit on the body to score a single kill shot. However in pubs, I use my trusty ole' Ballista for what I feel is much quicker ADS, which helps with quickscoping. I've been frequenting the Arms Race playlist, though I wish since they made it way easier to get scorestreaks due to the increased amount of points you get that they raised the kill limit to 100 or even 150.
  23. I'm going to be in a tough spot upon release due to the fact that when I had the original XBox, I was huge into competitive Halo 2, and when the 360 released there was still a solid 6 months or more of MLG Halo 2 competition left that they kept going with (since Halo 3 had not been released at this point). So it didn't matter that I didn't have a 360, by the time Halo 2 had ended and Halo 3 was about to release there was more supply, the price had dropped, and so I purchased one without hesitation. COD: Ghosts hopefully will be that game for me this time around, seeing as if trend continue there will be a limited supply of the XBox One and a high price point so majority of the population will still be on the 360 giving me time to play out another game until supply increases and the price decreases.
  24. Well Microsoft has slowly been doing a lot of the integration with the 360 through Dashboard updates, however it's very limited by the current hardware. I'm wondering if Microsofts current thought process is, "Everyone knows it will play games, so let's focus on how we're expanding on other features." Which in a way is true, we can all safely assume it's going to play games. So honestly aside from graphics and such, there's not much (currently) to demo.
  25. People have been saying this about Nintendo products for years ;) But seriously, all new system obviously come out with a small catalog. I'm interested to see out of the 15 titles they'll have what the 8 new franchises are. Though I'm sure E3 will be where they do most of that revealing.
