  1. I think that the concept of Imphide and Spider Silk was pretty neat. However, I don't think Lv. 50 gear should be obtainable by killing a few low level bats.
  2. The point being that it's out of Beta stage now. TBH, I like it, because it allows me to do beta-testing of the EoC while not exp-wasting.
  3. They have Jacmob (He was the leader of RSBuddy and had a working bot client two weeks after nuke 1, who was hired by Jagex) and still have a problem. Jagex have ways of detecting modified classes built into the client, but the bot clients null that subroutine out. They have yet to try an external application which monitors the system like Punkbuster or Warden does. Perhaps that would be a possible option? I vaguely remember reading that Botwatch was supposed to do something like that, but I could be wrong.
  4. Is that implying you would be able to do better? Then please, do apply for Jagex.
  5. Don't you mean why people don't live by this?? It's a good philosophy. However, that line is being used in the wrong way with respect to RS updates. Those making the claim hold the opinion that what's being fixed wasn't broken. As if somehow the game was perfect some arbitrary time ago and now it's all ruined. So runespan fixed what wasn't broken. RS HD fixed what wasn't broken. Make All fixed what wasn't broken. Grimy herbs fixed what wasn't broken. Etc. I don't think it is a good philosophy at all, considering it completely prevents pretty much all progress.
  6. It baffles me that people still live by the "don't fix what isn't broken" idea.
  7. Considering it took until the end of January for the major bot creators to make a working bot after Octover 2011's bot nuke... I don't see why Botwatch would work less well.
  8. Remind me why you want to use runecrafter's robes over Batwing robes again?
  9. The difference being that P2P players can actually make their way to the top of the highscores, while in F2P, next to no-one can. Next to no-one making it to the top of the hiscores is an illogical point. Due to the fact that P2P offers plenty of faster methods compared to what F2P has. Not to mention it is highly illogical to assume that back in the day F2P's weren't all over the HS top pages. There have been multiple skills with multiple F2Pers on the front page: Range, Mage, Smith, Firemake, Mine, Craft. Multiple others have been top 100: Fishing, Strength, Cook, Pray, Runecraft, Defence, Woodcut, Hp. Even though Range, Mage, Smith, Firemake, Mine, Craft were listed as front page skills, there were multiple F2Pers in the top 100 or abouts, myself included with 107th in Firemaking back in 2010. Pretty much all skills have had F2Pers in the top page/top 100. So don't go spouting illogical bullshit when there have been F2Pers who have been where not many people have. Plus we all started as F2Pers, so why is it a logical reason to remove us from the HS when F2P was here way before P2P was. I know you probably don't like it, but that's the reason why Jagex removed highscores for F2P And they said they'd probably bring F2P highscores back once they would have dealt with bots.
  10. The difference being that P2P players can actually make their way to the top of the highscores, while in F2P, next to no-one can.
  11. You are aware the reason they took F2P highscores out was because they became completely irrelevant, right? Irrelevant in what way? Can I have some proof on your opinion? This whole thread has facts of people making use of F2P High Scores, in what way did you come with irrelevant? Anyways, Dungeoneering Combat Penalty is gone, happy dungeoneering 8-) It's not an opinion. The F2P highscores were bots taking up all the higher spots, with the legitimate F2P players being unable to keep up considering the super low exp rates in F2P.
  12. I am having trouble killing Lesser demons on my noobiest account, but that is probably because it is only at 31 Ranged. :P If someone can recommend me a better area to train Ranged on F2P, I'm looking for one.
  13. My apologies... I should have made it more clear. :( RS:EoC won't let you wield a Staff (Such as the 'Staff of Fire') and the Anti-Dragon Shield together. So my normal configuration is impossible to use now, and I'm blocked from launching into combat how I normally would. :wall: ~D. V. "Hopefully, that isn't as clear as mud?" Devnull Remind me why you should care already?
  14. Personally, I agree with A Friend's view on protection prayers.
  15. You are aware the reason they took F2P highscores out was because they became completely irrelevant, right?
  16. Agreed. I legitimately don't understand why people don't like it. Is it because combat is no longer ridiculously easy and requiring no skill? Lol. Honestly, I hate combat in RuneScape for YEARS. For the longest time, I had high skill levels and really low combat. I just found it so mind numbingly boring to stand there, click once, and wait to kill your opponent. At least now combat is more varied and actually engaging. Except skilling isn't anymore interesting. It's far more repetitive so I really don't understand the point you are trying to make. Agreed. I legitimately don't understand why people would prefer doing skilling over combat for that reason. Is it because skilling was even more ridiculously easy?? Lol. Honestly, I disliked skilling in RS without multitasking. For the longest time, the only way I would skill was by having a web browser up above the RS client and/or playing another game alongside it. I just found it so mind numbingly boring to stand there, click once, and stare at the screen until I was done. At least now I can add combat training to the list of activities I would do without multitasking. (Parodying aside, I agree completely on your views of the EoC.)
  17. [changed picture, see other post.]
  18. You would have to get Barrows kill count before getting the GWD kill counts.
  19. I bet you $500 it won't.
  20. 2013 is best RS year.
  21. Right-click that empty spot between the urns Then Examine
  22. I would not mind it.
  23. This thread needs a new entry. [spoiler=Contains a few swear words]
