1. You're doing that in F2P worlds and your DG and Crafting are higher than mine! This is making me want to train both of them! Haha
2. Gonna get on and work on farming and fletching I believe. Come join me if you're fletching! :)
3. Haha, true, but I'll definitely be making one last final run at being a "good" player, and this is it I believe. Today I got: 1 Hunter level 1 Agility level 2 Farming levels 1 Herblore level For a total of 5 levels gained. Obviously they were easier levels to get, but I wasted some time hopping around trying to get a scythe on OSRS. Anyways, I'm pleased for my hour of work. More to come tomorrow!
4. Thanks for the support, Yew Treess! It means a lot when people can get behind me! Low Levelled, golf is the greatest game ever invented! Haha, good to know I have a fellow gamer out there with me though! :D
5. Intro: Hey! To start off, thanks for reading! My name is Nick, or Gotta Eat, and I'm an 18, nearly 19, year old fraternity man! I quite enjoy playing golf, baseball, football, and video games, as well as writing! I have an amazing set of friends, family, and girlfriend. Now onto more serious things (lulz not really *headknee*) such as...wait for it...RUNESCAPE! I've played RuneScape off and on for 8 years. I recently quit for almost 2 years, but I'm back, and ready to level now that Summer has come. I'm not much on screen shots, but I'll try my best to keep up and give you all what you want. Anyways, for 8 years of play, my levels are pretty embarrassing, so that's what I'll be working on.
Start Level/Goal Level/Current Level/Completed Goals):'] Total Level: 1652/2000/1776 Attack: 75/90/75 Strength: 77/99/77 Defence: 76/90/76 Constitution: 80/99/80 Ranged: 80/99/81 Prayer: 87/99/87 Magic: 77/90/78 Cooking: 99/99/99 Woodcutting: 99/99/99 Fletching: 70/99/76 Fishing: 71/85/72 Firemaking: 99/99/99 Crafting: 55/80/72 Smithing: 49/80/56 Mining: 67/80/68 Herblore: 52/70/60 Agility: 42/70/49 Thieving: 47/80/48 Slayer: 48/99/51 Farming: 40/85/47 Runecrafting: 44/70/95 Hunter: 42/85/49 Construction: 71/99/72 Summoning: 50/99/51 Dungeoneering: 55/85/58
- A Partyhat (simply because I've always wanted one and never had one in 8 years of playing) - 250m bank - 50m Cooking and Woodcutting experience. - Catch 'em all! I'll accept donations, but they're not even close to necessary, all I ask is for your support! I'll probably join HYT now and again, and for now you can probably catch me at W31 Yanille POH's! My PM will be "On" probably 90% of the time, so just PM me if you want to talk!
1.) Yew Treess
Thanks for reading!
6. Rock Hard, I like your Fight Club reference in your signature. Oops, I think I broke a rule or two...oh well. Anyways, I totally agree with you Rock, in one sense, but I think Jagex actually wants these servers to stay alive for awhile. If anything it'll keep some people interested while they take heat for RS3 bugs and such. I think it's more or less them knowing RS3 is coming, and them providing a distraction so people don't have to deal with early, albeit inevitable, problems. Maybe that's just me, and maybe that made no sense, but that's my random rambling.
7. InAfterSuckUp. Anyways, I like my steak bloody as hell...to each his own, I guess!
8. Well, hopefully I can make that happen. Cooking was once one of my favorite past times in the game, now it's kinda ruined because no one uses the rogues den anymore. Anywho, when I get back from vacation I might try and start that goal.
9. This is a cool blog. Hopefully I can boss with some people from here once I get my cb up, and if I ever get 99 prayer...on vacation though and that's a huge xp waste. Yeehaw.
10. This is an awesome set of goals. Wish I could get my cb up enough to do bosses, I just can't stand that level of grinding. It's no bueno! Haha good luck!
11. Didn't know this either, I guess I'll go toggle that off. Got a cooking assignment the other day and I was like...really? Almost 24m cooking xp and I have to cook 113 rockfish??? Pointless...
12. I'd love to get 99 cooking again. I have almost 24m xp on EoC, so it's incredibly boring and pointless to train. Would love to experience it all again, just don't feel like making all the money necessary for it, so I guess I'll retreat to the HAM hideout and continue with my clue scroll quest. Speaking of clue scrolls...on 2 straight rewards I got a Sara page 4 (I think it's 4 at least) and 6 noted trout. If anybody is interested in the pages, let me know! :D
13. This has no logic to it what so ever. By no definition of what has been said are Jmods or skills redudant. Skills each have their own purpose and use. Jmods are the staff of the studio that make the game exist. Pmods, in mine and others opinion, are redundant because the purpose they served no longer exists for the most part, as proven by Jagex strings and ass-all idea what to do with them. They have no real vital functionality or purpose and are therefore redundant, nothing like the jmods who have the very important purpose of doing their jobs to make them game and nothing like skills which each have a varied usage in the game. It matters that it is in-game because it exemplifies Jagex's inability to act and just put an end to something that is not working anymore, it also matters due to the stupid mutes and general corrupt mods the system harbours. Not to mention the attitude of being 'better' than average players that some mods seem to have ingrained and the wanna-be-mod behaviour it inspires in kids trying to get the crown. These, whilst not true of all mods, are detrimental to the game and the community. Plus it just looks bad to have a system and a 'rank' in place that serves next to no purpose. True, but every skill has the same basic mechanic, and, for example, Attack, Strength, and Defence are virtually the same when training them. What's the point? Why not make it one "Melee" skill? Redundancy. Fletching, Cooking, Firemaking, Woodcutting, and any of the other AFKable skills are the same, why not make them into one category? And while it is illogical to say one JMod could run the whole game, technically one JMod from every department within Jagex could run the game. Why do they have so many JMod's? Redundancy. So, based upon what I've just put there is logic behind it, so please don't accuse me of being illogical. Obviously PMods functionality isn't what it used to be, but by everyone against PMod's definition of "redundant," 99% of game content falls under the category. It's Jagex's game and they obviously have a plan and goal for the PMods or they wouldn't keep them. And in the same light, it may just be because PMods have been around practically since the beginning of the game. Before you flame me let me explain this logic for you keyboard warriors who can't put your own thoughts together... The skills from RSC have been redone, but the same mechanics are still incorporated. Hell, Smithing was the exact same until just recently. Does that mean Jagex should've taken out that skill because its functionality was limited? No. So please, you all are patient and nonchalant when it comes to a skill rework, so don't get your panties in a bunch when waiting for a new and improved PMod role.
14. The ignore list can only hold so many people, and just because YOU put them on your ignore list doesn't mean everyone else does, thus leading to everyone seeing the spam/racism/disruptive behavior. Obviously you can report them, but Jagex probably sees thousands and thousands of reports a day and not everyone of them can be tended to. PMods still can be effective in that aspect. Tad bit off topic: I wish the friends and ignore lists were expanded so you could put more people on each. My ignore list is full, and it's quite annoying having to delete people just to ignore one troublemaker.
15. Ezkaton made a much more logical and reasoned explanation on the "other half" of the players. When it's explained like that it is hard to argue against it, although I just don't see them eliminating the role. Player Moderators stand as a sort of pillar, if you will, to the community. I've met only one corrupt PMod in my 8 years, like I said previously, and I think they are a good source of knowledge (while there are some that are much better) and can be trusted. All in all I think the Player Mod role is something that NEEDS to be in the game, simply because it becomes a "Jagex VS. Me" argument amongst people with any sort of muting or banning issue. It allows players to take out some anger and frustration, anger, bewilderment, etc. on someone that isn't a Jagex employee. A lot of the time, Player Mods do make a difference. Of course, in the FC I frequent there is always at least 1 PMod in it, some times fluctuating up to 4 or 5, and in my clan we have at least 2 PMods constantly contributing, so my opinion may be flawed/biased.
16. I'll definitely do some Sandwich Lady runs for you! I definitely need the money! I'll send you a pm when I have a respectable amount of each item.
17. If its a redundant useless role why does it matter if its in game? Because having more than one skill, more than one JMod, etc. is redundant according to your definition. Jagex has a vision for there game whether we (or they) can fully see it, and they'll do what they want about this situation. When regular players complain about PMods it sounds like they're jealous of not having the title.
18. Kind of a useless update tbh. Would much rather see a lot of other things then this...
19. I would love to get a few OSRS 99's, but I only have 3 to begin with in my 8 year career. I'm not the best about efficiency and so I'll never be a top ranked player. Not to mention, I really can't stand making money and that holds me back and slows me down ate a bit. Anyway you cut it, I'm just a big ol' noob! :P
20. I've met only one corrupt PMod in my time, and that was in my clan. He muted me for asking about another chat, which was quickly reversed by Jagex. While there roles are much different from when I started, they often still do serve a purpose. I just know a lot of people who would make great mods who never get the chance. I myself always help when I can, and always have. I think that this "thankless job," would be much better served with a wider, more responsive group of people. It's hard to not feel as if the PMods nowadays are useless and cold when there is a maximum of 2 or 3 per world. That number can't field every question, complaint, and request people have.
21. Good luck with this goal! I have almost 24m cooking experience or I'd help out! The most I've ever had was 13 full sets of Bob shirts back when they were pretty expensive, and 20k purple sweets, although I do currently have like 150k empty vials, which tops all of my collections previously. I'm not much for collecting simply because I'm always so poor, 99 prayer goal is really draining by bank! Hope you reach your goal!
22. My only desire is for more PMods to be put into the game. It seems like they're "useless" because there just isn't that many compared to "normal" players. Otherwise, all the PMods I know are good people and good role models, not always the best, but serviceable for there overall purpose. Just wish more people had the chance of becoming one, as well as more abilities and defined paths they should follow.
23. I didn't mean it to be a "woe is me," type post, simply stating that Jagex seems to not pay attention to a lot of great ideas out there. If they'd make themselves just a tad bit more available, and maybe gave players on the brink of a great idea some feedback of there own it would probably help. And a majority is what 51% wants. Not every update is going to please every player, period, end of story. It would just keep 51% of the player base (or more) happier for a longer period of time. I think that's more or less what I was getting at. Keep the most players involved for the longest you can possibly string them a long. EDIT: quoted my own post and not the whole thing, too lazy to change it though, oh well.
24. I would agree with that, but if Jagex continues to at least put on a front of interest in the game, the game will continue to be successful. They need to listen to the MAJORITY of the people though, not 75%. It becomes a Jagex run game again, which is the reason why a lot of people who quit RS in the first place quit. They need to take into account what players ACTUALLY want for the games base to continue wanting to come back.
25. I would agree, prayer pots are probably your best bet when you hit the appropriate level. Ingredients are easily bought, pots are easily sold, and I wouldn't imagine losing too much money (although I'm not up to date on my herblore pot/ingredient costs). Until then, quests are definitely the way to go.
