  1. sohkmj1, see system requirements lab. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
  2. For those still wondering, the blue/purple ones indicate that this person is in a squad (aka party) and you can join it... iirc ;)
  3. sohkmj1, check my post on the first page, it recommends a few PC games, have a look through there, you shouldn't have any problem playing them :)
  4. I feel like Killzone 2 is either going to be really good or its going to suck really bad. So far its got like perfect scores from reviewers but the reviews are from The Official PlayStation Magazine. :^o Sorry to be picky but you can't really review a game when it isnt even due for release till a month, unless they have access to the beta, which is likely, in which case i withdraw my statement. However it isn't a review, its a preview, previews are before the game comes out, and they don't get rated, previews usually consists of journalists watching some ingame footage and teaser stuff. Sorry for nitpicking :P

I'm pretty sure theres gonna be skirmishes with AI computer players. You replace fallen warriors by making more squads See above for dark crusade info. Strategic points are now exactly that... If you are playing a team game (3vs3 for example) and one of you catches a strategic point, then each member of your team will gain the requisition bonus. The more strategic points you have, the better your team will do. It seems like a constant battle for strategic points untill you feel strong enough to take down the enemy HQ (Anihilate (Sp?)) but i prefer the take and hold missions with the new squad based combat. Basically there are an odd number of capture points and you must fight to hold them, the more you hold, the faster you will drain your opponents points (you start on 500 each). It just seems a lot more tactical and it fits the new playstyle perfectly. I'm not sure about the campaign, Aparently theres going to be some sort of loot + level system as you progress through the game (sound familiar? (WC3)) and aparently theres one for each faction and the campaign will be non linear. I really hope they don't do the same as DC and SS though cause the campaigns got a bit stale after a while.

Sort of... There aren't really bases anymore, the combat is a lot more squad-based and tactical. No more spamming and rushing, you have to try to think. The squad setup is the same style, with upgrades and stuff. It's pretty hard to explain. It's a lot different than DoW but I don't know if it's better or not :P
  7. Nope he's being serious... The easiest way to rack up some kills is spam pyro. Of course you will get killed alot but you will probably have a positive KDR.

To get beta you must have soulstorm, open beta will be available on the 28th. I'm guessing they will release other races slowly into the game like they did with DoW Vanilla. I don't like the fact that you can only play with SM in campaign but im sure that will change with expansion packs. edit: Nevermind.. somehow i misunderstood :D Non-Linear Single Player Campaign - Command an elite strike force, choosing from a variety of playable races and play through that race's unique storyline, developing the skills and abilities of your squads and commander as you progress through the game.

As I've seen from many different signatures, There are a few people that like DoW here so I thought I would make a post about the new game. http://www.dawnofwar2.com/ [hide=Short introduction to the game]Developed by award winning Relic Entertainment, Dawn of War II ushers in a new chapter in the acclaimed RTS series taking players to the brutal frontlines of war to lead an elite strike force on a mission to save the Galaxy. Its the 41st Millennium in the Sub-Sector Aurelia a cluster of worlds on the edge of the Galaxy where a battle of epic proportions is about to commence. Ancient races will clash across the planets that dot this section of space, battling for the greatest of stakes not only the claim to the land and its bounty - but the fate of each race. With a focus on fast-action RTS gameplay, Dawn of War II brings to life the science fiction universe of Warhammer 40,000 like never before. Experience the intimate brutality of battle as you play through the epic campaign. Clash with enemies on battlefields ablaze with visceral hand-to-hand and ranged combat. Lead and develop your squads into the most battle hardened elite strike force in the Galaxy.[/hide] So has anyone downloaded the beta yet? I'm currently getting it now, Tyranids should be fun to play :D

Eugh people who say that WW2 is a dried up genre are really starting to get on my boobies. Think of how many games there are that are set in modern times/in the middle east. Probably twice as many as there are in WW2 era. I'm sure someone made a list a while ago but i can't be bothered to look it up. To be honest I think all FPS's are the same. Theres a bad guy, you go get him, he isnt there, go to another level, and repeat untill the end. Story's almost always the same too. Ironic how the good guys are always portrayed as Americans/British and the bad guys are mostly focused on the middle east, or in some cases, face eating aliens. I'd like to see a completely new story such as World war 1, trench warfare. I can't think of any games that have touched world war 1. And maybe give us a different point of view. Middle eastern military defending their country from the infadels. Nazis invading france. Something different, something that will be controversial, hated, yet a good game. Idea for stun nades. Inverse the x and y axis, and if someone plays with them already inverted then uninvert them. Also add a lil slowing down.
  14. Double xp weekend woo \o/ Shame its almost over :wall: What game types are your favourites? At the moment, if im looking for a slightly tactical + pewpew game i usually go CTF If I'm just looking for pewpew ill probably go TDM and if im feeling hardcore ill go HCTDM
  15. How many hours of gameplay are we looking at now by the way? Keep up the good work cause it's looking awesome. ;)
  16. For PC I can deffinately name a few... Rts - Dawn of war series - They are awesome althrough relic slightly suck at releasing updates... Warcraft 3 series - Pure awesome, custom maps are epic too. Company of Heroes - I played a demo a while ago, still have yet to buy it but from what I played its awesome, Made by the same guys as Dawn of War and slightly more tactical. Fps - You pretty much have all the games i would have suggested :) Maybe try Left 4 Dead Rpg - If you're looking for MMORPGS, and don't mind paying subscription fee's I think the 2 best mmorpgs out at the moment are either Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, or World of Warcraft. Also, lord of the rings springs to mind if your a fan. If you're not too keen on the monthly subscription fee then you could give Guild wars a try. Non MMORPGS i would suggest include: Mass effect (TPS with rpg elements) Bioshock (FPS with rpg elements) Haven't played many RPG's so i can't suggest many. Indie - If you like a lot of indie games (Individual Developers) you could try AudioSurf. It's really addicting, basically you can load a song of any in your music collection on your computer, the game then generates a track and then sends you "surfing" on this track to collect different coloured blocks for points. Thats all i can think of off the top of my head at the moment. You shouldn't have any problems playing the games i listed.
  17. SAUCE? Scout update :( I want mah soldier update xD edit: Ah yes, www.teamfortress.com. Looking forward to the 360 update too, hopefully will bring a lot of fanbase to TF2 on console.
  18. This :D Also conkers bad fur day
  19. I don't think I've ever beaten a game 100% although i might try to on Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
  20. Empire Earth 1 and the expansion pack. As for shooters I can't really say, I don't own many old shooter games although the Delta Force series was pretty fun.
  21. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest The only website you will ever need to see if you can run a certain game.. sort of :D I recommend Warcraft III and the expansion pack. Awesome RTS's with amazing custom maps. Also, Empire earth ONE and the expansion pack, i heard that EE2 and EE3 were made of fail.
  22. i played a lock, set a macro to make the pet attack and apply my DOTs. It was basically an "I win" button. Thats more fun then hunters @ level 50+ the macros i use are 2 keybinds. 1: /petattack /castsequence reset=combat/target Hunter's mark, Serpent sting 2: /petattack /cast steadyshot And if in a party/raid, put /assist at the top It's boring :(
  23. I wasnt... I honestly dont mind people who use martyrdom
  24. I hate haters, most rants are invalid, although you do have some decent points, in my honest opinion the game is worth the full £40 payed. The singleplayer was great, better than 4, and the online is a lot more competitive and harder, also better than 4 :D
