That's because there's no failure or risk when skilling. The entire game would have to be remade from the ground up to rectify issues like this.It almost seems like they've been going out of their way to widen that gap though. Nobody expects skilling to be on par with combat, but I don't think anyone would mind them releasing a noncombat thing that isn't just objectively awful outright, when even the worst combat stuff is merely mediocre. It was a decision made early on and a bad one at that. Maybe there is no risk for skilling gear, but they should've made something on par. Then you had a slow and steady option. Only thing ever to come close was Ports, but it didn't take Chris L long to completely relegate it to crap with new boss gear.
They may not be the most moral acts, but they are not evil. Also, in that war many atrocities were committed by them. The Whites may not be great guys, but they're certainly better than the Blacks. ... That last sentence didn't sound right.
They have so far... They've not only relied on RuneScape's success - they've used it to bankroll projects that were ultimately (unfortunately) not successful. It is literally the beast of burden that carries all of their failures on its back.
And even those who are regular/big time posters on forums or social media sites tend to be the dedicated players, don't they? They tend to have some pretty substantial blind spots, as any group of players does. The most vocal minority has steered game content in years. How has that been working out for the long term health of the game again?
The books are not canon in the slightest when it comes to the game lore, so any crimes or violence they commit there cannot be taken as indicative of what the organisation is within the game. With how fluid the lore has been lately...The lore is nearly gas form at this point. The books also concur incredibly with the overwhelming lore and history of the Black Knights acting in what would be described traditionally as "evil."
They'll probably decrease the high alchemy value. <_< Not if they don't increase the amount of resources available. The actual alch value of rune items, the availability of runite ore and the items that could be produced in comparison to the amount from monster drops and more stupidly expensive items plants the difference firmly in the "negligible" category.
While not canon per se, the books all seemed to paint the Black Knights as a pretty violent and evil group committing crimes in recent times. This is pretty indicative of them as a group I'd say.
Not sure they're really the same team anymore (at least when it comes to bosses), the big lead behind all those projects was Chris L and he left after raids. So we'll see how it turns out. I'm glad he did too. Combat difficulty went up across the board because of him and i didn't enjoy his tenure/meddling.
Actually I'm only going by the amount of employees they have now still being on par with recent years, but the steady decline of the volume of content as well as, in my opinion, the quality of content, I.e. concept, mechanics, graphics recycling, etc.
