  1. Actually I was saying the cape should be for Questers and not have RNG, bossing, or mini game requirements. The requirements should be incidentals, not completionist activities. It should be things that people already would do or have done, not Livid Farm or 4,000 chompy kills.
  2. My only issue is that he thinks that the people would be upset with what he released because they want more lore and mini game stuff. So what? Those things aren't even in the scope of what this was supposed to be. If they want so much changed that it would completely change the content it appears that maybe they're telling you that there should be a second piece of content. Also, he had defined guidelines and apparently no one wanted to stay in those. It ticks me off that people can't even help develop an idea but what to come up with a whole new one instead. Perhaps it's an issue of a "this isn't for you" type of update to those very vocal people on the RSOF?
  3. For max skills and armor I suppose. For a simple quester still rocking Bandos and a degenerative joint disease...
  4. Yeah. Strangely, the guys who are calling for Livid Farm to be removed are the same people who are suggesting the addition of GWD/QBD/KBD lore books. These have lore and all, but they have absolutely nothing to do with quests. Just because something has lore doesn't necessarily tie it in to questing, which is the whole point of the cape.I suppose because lore is so historically tied into and released via quest playthroughs. For the love of God, can we keep bossing away from this quest cape? Pretty, pretty please keep twitchy and RNG away? I guess it was a moot point for me anyway since I can't complete FoTG anyway. I don't really have the ability to do the fights in it.
  5. I was speaking more towards the little extras than the skill levels. I think some of the things deviate too far away from actual quest stuff and feels like a Quest-pletionist cape. Hey Jagex, totally new concept: focus on quest stuff and not asinine grindy content everyone [bleep]ing hates you dipshits. At this point it doesn't feel like quest related content. It feels like arbitrary tasks meant to dissuade more people from obtaining it and giving it artificial prestige. Thank god Castle Wars doesn't relate to a quest or we'd get to play a few thousand more games of that nonsense.
  6. So cut both out. Frankly I think they're putting the Master Cape a bit too high in the reqs and it's a smidge too close to Comp territory.
  7. Mage, those skills were developed early on and have since had the game leave them in the dust as it were. Hence my point that by the time it was developed they should have known better and tried for better.
  8. It might be aggressive, but only because of how truly awful a piece of content Livid Farm is and because at the time it was developed they should've known better.
  9. Trouble Brewing needs a full redo, like Flash Powder Factory, only with the end product not being an abject failure.
  10. I often times feel that the person who developed Livid Farm goes about the office trying to find ways to have their content included in stuff that way they can fight off the inner demons inside telling them how much of a personal failure they are for designing and implementing that piece of content. At the end of that day J-mod when all is quiet do you still hear the lambs screaming?
  11. It is a logical extension true, but it's also downright nasty. Can we please just skip it? Pretty please?
  12. A fair point, but when you have something else that is reviled by a massive portion of your audience maybe you back it down a tad? On another note, is Chompy hunting faster than it used to be? I don't think I've done it since I needed a Jubbly for quest.
  13. While the Chompies one is frankly stupid, the one ffor Livid Farm is simply cruel. Anyone who has spent any time around a forum and any discussion of Comp Cape knows of the hatred of Livid by all, not just comp holders. It's pretty well known that content is loathed. So why include it? It feels a bit of a F-U by them.
  14. Given Jagex's penchant for buggy updates I really think they need to change their overall release procedure. Instead of rebalancing and making things easier post launch they need to release them in a more forgiving stance to compensate for the sure to be there bugs, then when the bugs are fixed 1-2 weeks later they can buff them up. Their content these days gives me Fallout flashbacks.
  15. At some point you have to ask yourself if people over there actively want their content to be failures.
  16. I never said I approved of what he did... simply he's done enough.
  17. The mans done quite enough thank you.
  18. This game does seem infinitely more fun when you don't have to play flawed content to keep a sparkly cape. Unfortunately it's major drawback is you have to do crap updates as well as anything fun.
  19. Maybe cause the player pool to choose from has dwindled because people only skill in the GE/Priff in their SGS stuff? :p
  20. I'm happy at the idea of solo content. They've been gaga over team content for so long I thought they had forgotten solo playing. Sadly as a lifelong fan of wrestling, as to their partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, [bleep] the Panda.
  21. There's no more reason to log on...Then quit.I have, more or less. I don't pay for membership anymore. I log in to do some f2p stuff every now and then. And yet you're still regularly logging on to a fan site to whine, moan and generally derail valid discussions with your negativity about aspects of a game you purportedly do not play any more... My point is I don't find it valid. I find it cumbersome and tiring. Negativity? Yeah, but I also can be positive about aspects I like. And your say regularly, but I was off this site and the game for 5+ years. These days I feel like coming on here is akin to Facebook stalking an ex. I'm waiting for something good to come. Still waiting...

  24. I wouldn't want to restrict raids behind completion of Ports because it's clear they are going to invest more time into this and I want there to be as much justification for that as possible. They waste enough time on nonsense as it is.
  25. I think it would've been great to have set raids in the Eastern Lands. You could've workednon the rebuilding of the islands and defeating the monsters left over after the overthrow of Quinn. Only tricky thing might've been how to set Ports and it's storyline in the past, but since when has making sense ever mattered to Jagex? :p
