  1. Then talk about other aspects of the update. Its not like threads can't have multiple conversations going on at once. My point was the topic always ends up being about the Comp Cape and how it affects its owners. It is so tiring.
  2. Yes, I'm so sorry I was unable to contain my revulsion at another update thread being steered into a Comp Cape discussion. Can we not make a sticky thread for the Cape and every update you can talk about it there? Please?
  3. Some of us are tired about hearing people only talk about your particle cape, how the update affects your little cape, and why this update should solely revolve on the cape holders and decisions should be made exclusively based on them. Every. Damn. Update.
  4. Once again, we sit here and discuss the use/waste of resources and time all over one damn cape. [bleep] your Comp Cape!
  5. Oh good, that'll give me all the incentive I need to avoid that thing forever.
  6. And the annoyance of CapeScape returns. There is a difference between you and the cat. The cat could still be alive, you're cape is dead as soon as someone opens the chamber. So you're more like Mr. House from Fallout: New Vegas.
  7. Okay, but my point was always that they are exceptions to the stone rule by implication of their creation being unique as opposed to the other gods, all of whom had to ascend. PS, Dex, check your messages.
  8. Zaros is also an exception since he was born divine and had a crystalline body. The God Bandos killed had his remains presumably destroyed along with the rest of the planet. There are far more sources to go towards them turning to stone than not.
  9. Sushi is a process to do this. By keeping it fishing only by levels to process, add in some items to make it multistep, and have it be untradeable. You can even use existing fish. Either use seaweed to make tradeable versions, or add sushi rice to make them untradeable. Just create some paddies, add to bowl of water and cook, release the Eastern Lands to explain it, and now you have good food.
  10. No, what needs to be done is not make it profitable since Jagex cannot set that very dangerous precedent in this game that skills be profitable... It needs to be made useful. It needs high level usability and not just for repairs. It needs untradeable products, like herblore before it, to make it useful. This isn't impossible.
  11. I still think that the draining of all energy is what leaves the stone. However, if this it's true, that would mean that Armadyl would have to have taken nearly all of Bandos since he went stone immediately. Since no other apparent energy went anywhere else. I think it's a great idea to have all that powery goodness just sitting in her waiting to be claimed. It could've made for a better game or continuation of the event to channel it to their God. Still jumping the islands, only to get to her head where Vorago struck her and siphon off energy or direct it into Gielinor.
  12. Fishing and cooking only really come to mind.
  13. Nope, but if there was, it would still have to come from an Elder god.
  14. Nah. They won't do that. They'll just sell it instead.
  15. Z and Seren are special cases. Gods, false ones let's say, cannot leave their bodies. The stone effect is what happens when they lose all the power, the levee behind a shell. They host divine energy that comes from two places: an elder god and an elder artifact. The two special cases were never mortals and are made entirely of divine energy. They won't turn to stone, but they can die.
  16. Yeah, I botched that post and it's too much hassle to fix since I'm on my phone.
  17. I would say cosmetic, but sadly we cannot infringe on Solomon. Yes, skills did feed combat. You could also use silks to do games and stuff. Now it's all combat. And little else. yeah make everything like ceremonial sword smithing in the artisans' workshop, but what it's going to produce that's not combat gear?
  18. Mhm, except construction did your house. Crafting could've been for making pretty clothes or outfits, etc. Combat is important obviously. Now it's just the only thing they want to do. I'm hoping with Chris L going they'll lose a bit of their hard on for it. The reason is, if they're going for this route, other games do bosses and raids so much better. I feel like my game will lose its uniqueness and get spanked in the process. It's what made mini games and quests so important.
  19. No, she was given Tier 4 status which would make her a god. The question is what happened to her power and why not turn to stone. V was killed, but his energy was channelled into a Kin. It would have to go somewhere. Maybe Vorago didn't kill her proper? Maybe he stunned her and next week someone else will kill her for real, take the energy and turn her to stone. Maybe Big Z? Harness her energy for something and makes the portal permanent?
  20. Well, I suppose since Vorago delivered the killing blow and he is only the avatar of Gielinor he wouldn't absorb her godly energy like another God would. Hence he connected Gielinor to her? Maybe that's why Godless had that nonsense as the default faction. So Jagex could guide things into this area so that if we won they could have the update like this. Conspiracy?
  21. Now it's boss to make money, spend money on herblore, boss more, invest more into herbs, use pots to make more money, buy better armor and more leaves and dusts, kill more stuff. Oh, and become pedantic about some guys who walk behind you. There's your precious damned end game people. Sounds marvelous. Absolutely spiffing.
  22. Yeah, but under his team and his time a massive amount of development has gone to bossing. Has this saved a big part of the game? Maybe, but I think it has taken a large amount of resources from things I like more.
  23. It's a sad state when the flat and utterly boring skills in WoW have more use in that game than our skills do in ours. At some point a decision was made that the best in weapons, armor, and tools were to come from monster drops. That decision has never been reconsidered and has been an 800 pound gorilla sitting on the game's neck ever since.
  24. ....then she would be alive.Maybe not. If you destroyed her brain, but the energy is still in there is she still alive? Maybe she's brain dead? Maybe she's dead, but because the energy didn't go anywhere the host didn't become stone. Or perhaps we should remember that Jagex and consistency go together like a balloon and a handful of tacks?
  25. Then leave harmonised rocks levels the same? Increase the spawn time between normal rocks to decrease some supplies. Leave all specialised rocks at same levels. I think you could make all ores mined at level 50, leave alch prices the same and not come within a light year of Bossing. It wouldn't even make a tiny dent.
