  1. Discussion about the Player-owned Ports Calculator can be done in this thread...
  2. On the advanced search page in the Bestiary you can search by weakness, does that help?
  3. Thanks for the heads-up. The map has now been fixed, and bestiary entries have been updated.
  4. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Seems this calculator was missed when porting old pages to the new site format. We'll get to work on it and make it available soon.
  5. We're aware of that, but thanks for the heads-up.
  6. Thanks for the heads-up. The link has been fixed now. And hi! 8-)
  7. It's not that those positions are completely vacant. Various positions have room for more than one crew member.
  8. The Crew Wants You! This recruitment drive will run until November 25th, 2012, midnight GMT. [pending]pur_1353801600[/pending] Tip.It's Website Crew is currently looking for enthusiastic members to join the team! The Crew is a team of volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of the main help-site. If you've ever had an interest in being a part of it all, or think you have any skills that could make the site even better, you're looking in the right place! The Crew has many available positions each requiring very different skills and interests, there's something for everyone. Before applying, you should know a little bit about how the Crew works. It is important to not glamour a position up, as one may find the Crew was not how they expected it would be when they applied. First off, Tip.It is non-profit organization - All staff positions here are entirely voluntary. Those putting their time into the site are working purely for the bettering of Tip.It. If accepted, you will be required to make somewhat of a commitment to put enough time into your position and in-game research whenever necessary. Crew Training and Crew Work requires time to accomplish and without this commitment, you will not be able to meet deadlines and work as a team. Secondly, although web design, coding or mapping skills are an asset, lacking them will not stop us from welcoming you aboard. We can teach you what you need to know, so our only request is you have a willing attitude to learn whatever interests you and time to spend on the site. Knowing some basic HTML, however, is highly encouraged as it will allow you to work on many different areas of the web site. The Crew is very close with the rest of the Staff, and as a Crewbie you will have the opportunity to meet and work with all existing staff to help better the site. Overall, the Crew is a fantastic social and learning experience, and definitely a worthy investment of time. With the upcoming Evolution of Combat update to RuneScape, a lot of information on items, monsters and various guides will need to be scrutinized and updated where needed. With your help, we can be sure our visitors will keep getting the high quality content they have come to expect. Positions These are the various positions waiting to be filled within the Crew and the skills involved. Note that as a Crewbie, while your position will determine the main focus of your work, you will always have the chance to branch out into other areas whenever you want. Still interested? Excellent! To apply, you will need to fill out the following application and PM it to Staff_Applications. Please make Crew Application: <your name here> the PM subject. Remember: PM your application to Staff_Applications - do not post it on this topic! Put Crew Application: <your name here> as the Subject Remember, this application is one of the main things you will be evaluated on! Please take your time to make a good impression IMPORTANT: Read every question and answer every question to the best of your ability Crew applications will run for two weeks and end at midnight GMT on November 25th, 2012. We consider applications very carefully, and even if you are declined, we may still contact you at a later date asking if you still want to join the crew. We are looking forward to reading your applications! :) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or post on this topic. Do not post your application here. @Xena_Dragon Tip.It Crew Leader Submit an Application | Send me a PM
  9. First of all, that is just not true. Massive amounts of work are being done on the site, on a weekly basis. Not only adding new content, but also making sure that existing content stays up-to-date and above all correct. A classification of "very little change" could not be farther from the truth. Second, and this is what bothers me about your rather blunt statement, I find it an insult to the website crew. We have a group of volunteers spending countless hours on doing research, gathering data, doing experiments and what else is needed to create guides and databases filled with info. And don't forget the site's users who submit reports with extra information, making sure content stays correct. This statement just isn't fair to them. As for your examples; I see that both Sy Accursed and Mercifull pretty much hit the nail on the head already. Exact drop rates are excruciatingly difficult to get. If we would start adding that info to the site, it would require massive amounts of time to verify that the numbers are correct, and at this point in time we have plenty of other work on our plate which has a higher priority. And guides in general are getting updated *all the time*. You do address some valid points about the fishing guide, as it currently does not have a tips & tricks section. A list of "good" fishing locations would make a very nice addition to the guide. Since you seem to know a fair bit about those locations, I invite you to help us, and the community at Tip.it, to post some suggestions on our Website Updates & Corrections forum.
  10. This has now been corrected. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
  11. This one took me a while to debug. Looks to be a strange bug in Chrome with string concatenations. I've rewritten the code to work around the bug, and the Skill Progress calculator should now display properly in Chrome also.
  12. There was an error in the quest calculator regarding the Constitution skill indeed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This has now been fixed.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up. We've located the problem and will be restoring the missing (new) images soon. The images have been restored to the proper ones.
  14. That would be possible, and so we did :) Thanks for the tip!
  15. Welcome SwiftKit crew. I'm looking forward to working with you.
  16. There was a bit of Javascript missing on that page. Should be all better now. Thanks for bringing this to our attention
  17. The same thing happens for me. I'll have a look and find out why this page doesn't work as intended. Other tasks lists do work, it's just the Morytania one that's acting up.
  18. I'll have a look and find out what's going on with that calculator. The bug has been squashed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
  19. I'll have a look and find out what's going on with that calculator.
  20. Thanks for the tip. The item has been added to the items database. And a great sketch by the way, thanks for explaining the background of this lovely easter egg.
  21. I've removed the statement about the 250 damage cap, since it's clearly wrong. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
  22. Thanks for the insight. The errors you mentioned have been fixed. The rest needs some thorough research first. Thanks for the input.
  23. I've updated the guide with as much information as I could gather from this thread and my personal experience. Things to still look into are: Does it matter what type of food you give your companion? I'd like to know if using cheap cabbages or onions has the same effect as using rocktails or tuna potatoes. Has any research been done on this already? If so, what were the results? How exactly are the rewards calculated? I've seen the guide SneakoS made on the RSOF, but I wonder where those numbers he mentions come from. Are those perhaps numbers that were valid during the 'old' temple trekking mini-game? As always, comments are appreciated, even if it may take a while for them all to be processed properly.
