Its the same as for a lot of free image hosts, your stuff gets deleted after a set time or if you dont log in once a month because you're not actually paying for your space, You can specify how long you want it to be hosted for on simpload e.g. if its for week long auction on ebay you only need it hosted for a month.... And you just re-host it when the time runs out...... and its simple enough for someone who doesnt have a clue about image hosting to operate :)

This is depressing when someone starts and closes a competition in less than a day.... Especially when the competition gets opened while you're at college and closed by the time you get back :?

Very nice :) However the girl doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the picture.... I'm thinking that green doesn't quite fit in there...... but I doubt that can be changed..... The brushing around the edges of the dress look a bit odd too.... As for things I can see in there..... Well.... wedding, music, hint of white wings, feathers falling from wings (do angels moult?) also giving me an idea of leaves falling in autumn, perhaps signifying the end of something nice like autumn signifies the end of summer..... and for some reason the rose petals in American Beauty.....? .....solitude, the breaking of silence by music..... Perhaps I look too much into these things :wink: :!: I just realised what else I thought made it look strange.... you can't actually see any source of the music....

I'll have a shot but although I tend to do most of my drawing in paint they dont look like pixels very much...... ....and ill have to finish my archer one first.... :)

Another good question is "How long is a length of string?" ....no one can tell you how to draw, its a matter of personal preference. Take a look around at other peoples sigs and try to copy their styles (usually a flashy background + text) then try to make some on your own....

An idea I had a while back: A guy in full iron/steel/black/mith/addy (I think the colour of rune armour just looks tacky....) Lying on his back with his helmet tilted to his right, next to a river (also on his right), his arms are thrown out to each side as if he's been suddenly struck down, one hand holds a shattered sword hilt and the other holds a kite shield. The kite shield hes holding is face down on the ground under his hand and arm and his hand is still grasping the holding straps on the reverse of the shield. His armour is slashed and buckled but no visible wounds can be seen, a pool of blood is seeping out from under him and running into the stream and a few flowers are growing on the grass, scattered around him. And just for a few more details: - hes lying diagonally across the picture with his head towards the top left with the stream running diagonally across the picture parallel to his body and downwards. - the text will be in the top right and will say "Death Before Dishonour" An alternative version will be the above but with an intact sword and undamaged armour and an arrow protuding from his chest with blood running from the wound down into the stream. The text in the second one would say "What Ranger?" or "Beware the Ranger...." :) Lets see if anyone can beat that one for detail :wink:

Try to move the statue head 'backwards', you shouldn't have that bit of hair? overlapping the front of the stone block

I don't think its possible to get an avatar in a filesize suitable for these boards from paint.... Unless you don't mind the way paint messes up your picture when you save it as a .jpg.... Try cropping your picture in anything but paint and save it as a .jpg or .png or .gif....

I don't think the text really matches the backgrounds on any of them.... Try fading the text a bit on all of them or brushing them to match the background and the planets on the last one also seem too clear and sharp as if they've been stuck on, try to fade them a bit too and get the flare going over them..... Try using easily readable text too, plain text looks better than more elaborate text in most situations.... Wish I had photoshop..... :(

Are you trying to have the text on the screen longer with shorter pauses in between text changes? If so, can you individually edit the time for each frame? If so you should see a number like 100ms attached to each frame the 'ms' part meaning milliseonds (1/1000th of a second), change the numbers on the frames with text on them to something like 2000ms and the blank ones to however short you want the intervals between the text changes to be.....
