I'm really stuck on #6 and #9 *whine*

I think Jagex is focused on creating a fun inviroment to do whatever you find fun. So if you find building a character up fun, then do that and I'm sure you'll find friends along the way that feel the same. And if you find making money fun then by all means do that. The cool thing about RS is there are so many venues to explore that you can focus on one, some or all of them, its entirely up to you. I personally like to dabble a little in everything save player killing. I like well rounded characters.

Good point E thanks for pointing that out. Yea there have just been so many quests since last update that I'm not sure thought it would be helpful for people to just post what they have noticed. I'm going to go through those update and corrections link and post a list of what I have. Will be up soon. Thanks for the Help Uular and Xena_dragon :)

Hmm, guess nobody cares about our world map, oh well... Not that big a priority then.

It is past due to update the Tip.It World Map. This task which use to be Eeeeediots has now been passed on to me and it is behind by a couple of map updates. In the future I plan to keep track with every update, the things that will need to be added with future map updates. But right now I have no list of things that need to be updated/added to the world map. This is where you can help me. So what I need is the info that is missing from our World Map. This includes but is not limited to: new areas new quest symbols new dungeons new transport locations changes to existing areas missing agility shortcuts Any help with this would be very much appreciated. I will create a list here of everything that people have submitted so that others know what has been listed. Does anyone know if the bank chest in lumbridge is available before doing the first part of RFD?

I was lvl 75 ag there and didn't fail at all. Nice course imo. I'd prefer another agility arena type thing, atleastthat is semi-fun.

Wow, I'm surprised they brought this back up. Should of let this die. How can you have an opinion on anything if you don't know the facts behind what your saying. Seems silly and ridiculous to me. This whole debate is tiresome and I don't honestly see it going anywhere. I can't wait until this is forgotten again.

Thank you for writing that, we needed a level headed explanation for all of this, it was getting out of control. It sounds like you really know what you're talking about and have some experience in it. And although I wish Jagex would of stepped up and said something to this affect, it probably wouldn't be as effective coming from them. Good job.

Just fyi you do need to type in .html at the end of the answer to get it to work atleats in opera. I just solved the first riddle and had to type that in to get it to work.

The first stage is a picture, lets not trash him just because we can't figure it out. He also stated that they won't all be pictures. No, they threatened to take legal action against the articles writer. Yeah, but you guys are hosting it - im not a lawyer but whenever I heard of a libel case before its always a newspaper (publisher) that gets sued, not the journlalist who wrote the piece... but im not a lawyer, I dunno Ok, hey it just looked to me like he was aiming at the author. I don't claim to know anything about this situation. For all I know he meant the whole site. I'm just a measly mapper. :)

I don't think Jagex are trying to kill fansites. I just think they are trying to provide the playerbase with basic general knowledge that people are curious about and could only find on outside sources. I don't think they'll ever disclose all the info fansites do. Yea of course maps are going to be similar I just thought it was pretty remarkable that the rogues den map is almost completely identical as far as the trap position. Guess I was just braggin about my own skills sowwy, didn't mean it to sound like I was whining. I wasn't saying they were stealing anything, after all they are maps of Runescape which Jagex owns... As far as their maps looking better I have to strongly disagree, I think they look like poo. The detail is lacking and the maps are barely discernible. They look like way over head shots of high detail with some crazy ugly bevel filter. Just my opinion though.

Their Rogues Den map is almost a copy of tip.its. Either I'm really good at knowing the exact place of all the traps or Jagex used my map as a reference for their own because the similarities are uncanny! Jagex Rogues Den Map Tip.it Rogues Den Map:

That was a well written article and fun to read but I disagree with most of it. The only thing I really agree on is the name thing. People should be able to have whatever name they want as far as I'm concerned, so what. I don't know when the rule about appropriate names was implemented but I imagine it's been around for some time. Long enough that most of these people that have been banned probably could of read the rule and avoided their own demise. Come on, you had to know when you created a name like "poo on you" or whatever ridiculous phrase was used that it wasn't going to end well. As far as biased banning, this is just a far fetched guess here, but maybe the name rule didn't come in affect until after these characters were created. That might explain why these people haven't been banned. If anything it's worth looking into to atleast have some facts behind your words. You did say that most if the offensive names you found were relatively high leveled? I think this whole attack on Jagex is pretty unfounded though. All these supposed unfair bans are all based on one sided stories. You don't know what information Jagex has on these people. You only know what these people claim to have happened. One side of a story makes for a nice fairytale but by no means represents absolute truth. All in all I feel this article was an unjustified attack on Jagex trying to make them out as some evil tyrant rather than creators of a game we all like to play. Look at it this way, if you want to play their game you're going to have to play by their rules. Yea you pay 5 dollars a month, that doesn't give you the right to tell them how to run their game, suggestions, sure but they are still in control. This whole situation was started by them trying to appease the masses. You all cried and complained about macroers, cheater and whatever else you could think up so they had to step up their game and ban some people, now that they're doing that you are complaining about that. It's never good enough. I'd go insane if I had to listen to all the hypocrisy of the players. If you guys hate the game so much, stop playing. If you break a rule either knowingly or not, expect to get punished for it. I personally enjoy this game very much and am smart enough to follow the simple rules they've provided so I can continue to enjoy the game. And if one day I ever decide that one of their rules are stupid and decide to break it, I won't be suprised when I'm banned for it. Now, I'm not saying that Jagex are godly and don't make mistakes, we're all human here. But give em a break. Atleast they have a system where you can appeal when you feel you've been wrongly accused of something. If they really didn't care, they wouldn't listen to the playerbase and they wouldn't even give you an option to appeal. As big as the RS community is, I'm pretty impressed with how they still manage to hear out the community and try to do what they want when they can. Bah, I've babbled long enough...

Thats a pretty decent map, clean it up, remove the monster dots and labels and we'll use it with credit to you of course. :)
