Since halfway through the year of 7th grade (i'm nearing the end of 8th now), i've been grounded from playing videogames during the weekdays for getting bad grades (and i mean c's in the class :? ) in Algebra. I think the punishment is even more stupid concerning what i actually did.

I really don't get why everyone's saying that AC/DC's overrated. Sure, their vocalist is pretty bad/unique :lol: now and the songs aren't so great, but have you guys even listened to the old AC/DC, like with Bon Scott? They had some awesome songs back then, way better than the newer ones. And to the person that said all their songs sound the same, maybe two songs sound the same: Dirty Deeds and TNT. I mean, come on, what about It's A Long Way to the Top, or Let There Be Rock, etc. There are many great older songs of their's. On topic: Greenday, most modern rock/punk bands that everyone seems to like in my school, all rap.

Don't get it.. none of those bands have anything in common apart from they're american and mainstream. exactly :lol: Then why group em all in the same sarcastic post.. Because they're all horrible...notice the *kidding* in the post. Please, stop trying to make a point of something, it just makes you look worse.

I R listening to Freewill by Rush...it's a really good song, but i like The Spirit of Radio better :oops: it's next on my list

Weekends best for me as i'm not allowed to play on weekdays :( usually anytime 3:00pm-6:00pm, then 10:30-? on fridays, then anytime saturday, then after 12 on sundays.

FFVII was definitely the best. It was also the first i got. The graphics for the time were pretty sweet, and i loved it the first time i played it. The soundtrack is awesome, from the opening theme to One Winged Angel (my favorite FF song), and the storyline was phenominal. I just bought Advent Children on the 25th, and i was very happy with it. Oh and to the person that said that Aerith gave up her life so that they could all live, if i remember correctly she didn't. None of them knew that Sephiroth was going to pop out of nowhere and stab her...but i cried when that happened :( as i'm sure everyone did. Also, just the atmosphere and feel of the game was aweosme. Traveling across the world map, getting new, secret summons, working the countless hours to get the Gold Chocobo and the prized Knights of the Round materia, i loved it the whole way through. Oh yeah, what was you guys' favorite places in the games you chose? My favorite was Midgar, i always loved that part where you were climbing up, grabbing the batteries to make different pieces of a makeshift ladder move. I can't explain the awesomeness of this game, if you haven't played it, i suggest you go out and get it this second.

Actually, as a fellow Christian, I couldn't disagree more. Christianity is completely different from all other religions. After all, they all require works to get into heaven. Islam-good greater than bad=heaven Hinduism-good=reincarnated until heaven Buddhism-don't believe in heaven but believe in good works Christianity-Works are useless...salvation comes only through belief in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. I couldn't agree with you more, i mean, Hitler could've went to Heaven if he'd believed and followed in Jesus Christ...kinda scary to think about, but it's true. I am! With my youth group, called Surf City, it's on Lake Michigan...ironically you don't surf there :( there's jet skies though! It's one week, and it's going to be AWESOME!

I've fallen in love with the Rush Chronicles CD. Espescially Freewill and Spirit of Radio, also Lights by Journey.

Yes I agree but just cos they aren't the "Greatest Rock Band of All Time" that DOESN'T mean they are jokes compared to the "Greatest Rock Band of All Time". Umm...yes it does? :lol: Definitely jokes compared to Styx...i no way have they made an impact on rock itself...big or small...such as say Kansas, Queen, Led Zeppelin, many 70's 80's bands. 70's-80's era FTW!

no kidding... the systems are going to be pretty much the same. so alike, infact, that the games will look the same, play the same, and all of that. the only deciding factor in this day in age is weather or not your a fanboy or want to try something new. personally i think PS games suck, there just a bunch of farfetched japanese storys... for me its like this Xbox 1 = Ford Mustang GT PS2 = Mitsubishi Eclipse Id rather have the mustage cuz imports suck ;) What do you call GTA then? I mean, Grand Theft Auto definitely isn't my favorite games on the PS2, but they're great and they're not "a bunch of farfetched japanese stories"

they should be at the top!!! best us band ever! all these people are just sayin their fave bands, but ya's gotta look at global impact, 99% of the population likes a chili song. i mean, who the hell seriously considers "Anthrax, Exodus, Overkill, Slayer, Forbidden, Death angel, Dark angel, Death" as the best ever? HA, i laugh at yee. :lol: :lol: :roll: Most of everyone's favorite bands posting are probably from Britain or another country. And where did you get this fact that 99% of the WHOLE WORLD (seeing you said global) likes a RHCP song. Don't get me wrong, they're a excellent band but there's been way better and more bands who impacted rock n roll and were an american band. (see CCR and Bob Dylan) I think more people know a CCR song than RHCP. Unless they're mainstream. I laugh at "yee" too i guess. i Err...yes there were more, and you didn't mention them :lol: Boston, Journey (i'm pretty sure they american), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N Roses (they're american right?), is Deep Purple american(?), Alice Cooper had some hits, Aerosmith, .38 Special (they american?), Kansas, Styx, Kiss, Van Halen just to name a few ;)

hmmmm...i like all the bands you mentioned (except for Pink Floyd, just can't really get into them), but AC/DC started around 1970, with Bon Scott as lead vocals. In my opinion Bon Scott was way better than the vocalist now, Brian Johnson, but Johnson's still pretty good. If you haven't listened to any older AC/DC definitely give it a try! Highway to Hell, TNT, Dirty Deeds, It's A Long Way to the Top, all great older AC/DC songs.

Aww yeah Styx is awesome...anyone like Thin Lizzy? First rock songs i ever heard Boys are Back in Town and Cowboy Song... 8) I've been pretty into Journey lately too, and Deep Purple, i really like Woman from Tokyo and Smoke on the Water

I'm Definitely a fan! I really don't listen to any modern rock, i just find it annoying, no comparison to '70s-'80s era of music. My favorite band's probably Queen, but i like most classic rock bands. Any other Queen fans?

Great band! May I suggest you some songs? Lazy, The Mule, Knockin' at your back door, Burn, Highway Star, Space Truckin' and Strange Kind of Woman. Get into them :D haha i listen to highway star, forgot to mention that one in my post, but thanks for the suggestions i'll make sure to listen to em ;)
