Will if their ban numbers are as accurate as last time when they said 1.5mil botters were banned, it's not worth revealing them. They 'only' banned around 500K and dunno why theymultiplied that by 3. Ah well, guess jagex wanted a 'multiply by 3'-activity too :P

Just very annoying, I stopped playing RS to watch the timer go to zero and notice what happens now, but ain't too great atm :s

Yeah makes no sense at all. I'm refreshing the homepage like a madman, but nothing happens. Still around 95K people playing EDIT: seems the clock is different for everyone. It's based on your system clock (the windows one in right down corner. That's why my nuke was way before anyone else's because I set all times 5minutes before real time, that way I'm never late when I go somewhere :P ...)

Same, I just hope they will ban whoever tries to use injection right after the update. Because I think the bot companies don't care about the update news on the homepage. They prob just enter the game and try to login. When it says the bot isn't working yet, they lay back and try again later. Anyway, if they do mass ban I also hope not too many legits get banned. Anyway, I used to report + - 10 botters a day (minimum) and I chat alot so I don't show bot behaviour in any way. SO THIS SHOULD BE A WONDERFUL DAY FOR ME. Well tbh I would be terribly happy if they just got rid of the bots that annoy everyone. The bots designed to make fast gp and thus to be sold for real life cash. The goldfarming companies are the big enemy here. I couldn't care less about the kids who bot for XP because they're too lazy to grind it manually. Someone who runs a dungeoneering bot 24hrs a day doesn't bother me since he doesn't crash my spot and he doesn't immediately mess with the ge prices. The second the dungeoneering botter swaps to a frost dragon botter that becomes a threat to us because he has influence of the ge price of frost drag bones, visage etc... I just think Jagex will focus on the autotypers and the RW-Traders. At least that's what I hope... If the goldselling companies can't bot anymore it would be a relief to play again imo For the rest: I just hope they can stop all bot scripts for as long as possible. Nobody botting would be the best thing, but if I'm realistic I'd be happy when all the iLLii11Li and dsfd45sdgfg1 players are gone :)

Not true most anti cheat mechanism detect repeating strings of data or modified actions. Just think of the headshot software etc the counter strike anti cheat system detects. No software is allowed to scan your pc without your antivirus/firewall blocking it. Only when you give explicit permission to the antivirus/firewall to run (or ignore) the file it can be ran.

This is complete bullocks. Any idea how incredibly WRONG it would be to install spyware software on user's pc's and scan them without our permission? That would mean every company out there could insert spyware to check for passwords, sensitive information or other personal things. Think twice before posting this stuff, makes no sense at all :D

I loved them too. I kept killing the green dragon botters named sheng0e(number). There were a dozen of that with all the same prefix but a different number. Suddenly I got pked by the owner of them stating I should leave his bots alone... Bye bye d claws lol (Before people start trolling I suck at pk, YES: I SUCK AT PK. I never pk'ed a person before, I just like screwing with the bots and stealing their gear/bones...)

The runes with best profit, why is that wtf lol? I never get killed anymore... Seems high level pkers around L138 don't bother about rc pkers... Only nub lowlevel pkers do that

Got the same problem when I double click the client it gives me the warning "error saving file" and closes :( Have been searching the net for a solution but nothing so far... EDIT= Oops sorry for gravedigging! I searched this via google and didn't notice this was 7 months old...

I'm 99 farm and once a week I experience that I have dead herbs on every patch. Most of the time they're all ok... It's all about luck. You forget the good harvests and only remember the bad ones I think ;)

I usually don't bother when people ask questions to annoy me, the ignore option is a bless :). I only train cb when slaying coz I don't wanna end up leveling 6-7 more levels of slayer when I'm already melee, magic & ranged max. Seems such a waste of time. Anyway do whatever you like and enjoy the game as you like it the best. :thumbup:

Well bots being annoying is already a good reason to post in the rant section? People pay like 7$ a monthto enjoy the game in every single aspect. I do find pk'ers annoying too, but I don't rant about it since it's perfectly allowed to play the game that way. I don't mind L138bully me by taking over my slayer spot, since they're higher than me and have worked hard to get L138. But bots are just cheap tools that should not be around. It's against the game rules and no matter whether you feel they are bothering or annoying: the game would be better off without them. I wouldn't mind if coal prices or D bones went up suddenly coz all bots were removed. Then I could finally enjoy my dung level by hunting frosts myself. Or I could just enter the LRC without 1.8k bots making me lag like hell...

Exactly! I sometimes wonder whether Jagex even wants to solve the problem, since bots on membership servers/worlds are also considered as paying customers. I remember before free trade was re-introduced there were around 1k players per server too. Back then the botting was a lot less. It seemed like people only botted for experience in the first place and not for RWT'ing. Nowadays there's also around 1k players per world, but we all know a huge part of that amount are non-legit players. So one thing can be concluded: people have quit and botters took their place (actually there was a flood of botters resulting in real players quitting ofc ;) ). I also knew this was a fact since my friendslist is full of oldies never logging in again. People have gotten tired of this problem and decided to leave instead rather than coping with the problem and just avoiding the overbotted spots. I decided to try and ignore the bots and change my moneymaking activities to different spots/techniques. I make less money per hour than I used to, but try getting rich at nechs/abby demons nowadays. Used to be 300-400k per hour. Impossible now, even if you halfkill nechs/abbies you still can't get the amount you used to. Training hunt at red chins is nearly impossible now; certain slayer tasks have to be skipped or you're hopping like a madman to find an empty spot OR you just have to bring a cannon to warped turtoises to make sure the botters don't get the drop/slay XP. Jagex knows there is a massive botting problem yet I feel they've given up on the in-game botfighting and are now trying it via legal ways to shutdown the botting companies. Although I'm 100% sure people will keep making bot scripts as long as there is money involved with it.

Looks nice imo. And I think bots get owned by updates like this. I saw a L134 running in circles for 2hrs while I was making cballs. Dumb kid obviously didn't notice the furnace changed and got reported alot :) Offtopic: If it lags so badly you might consider getting a new internet provider or buying a more up-to-date pc, or playing on a server less distant from your home. I never suffer lag, except for the first 5 seconds when I login to W2 ge. The rest runs flawless here.

I still care. I pay a monthly fee for my hobby, so I have the right to complain. Nice pessimism here. Grow up?

Bullocks! There are bots in chaos tunnels too. Besides this is a stupid reply, since you can't expect people to wander through the wilderness and take a way longer trip to Nechs because of the bots. It's not the legit players who should change their behaviour and way of playing. It's Jagex who has to take responsability for the game content they offer and deal with these frikkin goldfarming *$%£ bots ffs! I'm so tired of the changed attitude around here. Instead of agreeing with the rants, people tend to post smart opinions or stupid replies just to get post count up or to troll the person who rants. Rants don't need an opinion. People post rants to blow off some air in a positive way rather than flaming around or joining the dark side of botting. I totally agree with this rant. I got warped turtoises as task and there are minimum two bots per world I tried so far. Even the +1500 total server is crowded by bots. This really has to end... 95% of the oldtimers on my friendslist has quit the game so far. Nice call Jagex with RealWorldTrade eu free trade etc... :shame:
