Ffs I'm about to hit L85 summoning. I thought it would be a smart move to work on my next goal: using up the 2.5K crimson charms I got on making 2.5k swamp titan pouches. I go to the hunting spot and it's simply overcrowded. I waited my turn to take spot and then notice they just come back after banking and they beat me everytime I tree to click the tree to set my trap. I know people are gonna say: "big deal, make money in another skill and just buy them" Well I don't play like that. I gather all my materials myself (except ess since that's lousy XP) so can't bare with this. Stupid bots...

It's not because you know alot about hard drugs you're a junkie either. Gathering knowledge on forbidden stuff is cool, as long as you don't break the rules yourself :)

Ofc it's our fault, we don't deny that. We just post in here to prevent others suffer the same misery. For me being lured a red h'ween mask is temporary pain. A month later I got the money back, but still it's no fun some lowlife tricks you (or tries to) to steal yer hard work. That's all... No reason to rub it in, everyone who ever got scammed realized it was stupid.

Imo there are a few steps to be taken if Jagex ever wants to get rid off the botters: 1. Make reporting easier. Once u click the report button, you should be able to select the abuser by clicking on it and confirming it's the correct one. This would encourage people to actually report people with names like 'OO0oO0ooO' or 'lILIiLiLllIi' coz it sucks to invest time reporting botters like this. 2. They should do something about the free worlds. Members has alot of bots, but free is just insane. Walk around draynor village or around any yew/willow tree and it's PACKED with bots. First step: remove the free trade in free worlds. That way botters can't transfer their wealth, not to main accounts and not to other people buying the gold for real money. Only accounts that have been around for a certain time (2 years?) can trade but still limited. 3. If Jagex would just hire one botbuster per server it would make a huge difference. One mod per world who's in charge to reduce the botting percentage on his world would make alot of difference. 4. Imagine Jagex invented a surprise update. One time, on a certain day, on all servers you suddenly get a message in the middle of the screen saying: 'Click on the correct fruit or be teleported to botter island!' U see three fruits and gotta click the banana for example, if you don't click or misclick you get teleported away to a remote island where a mod is waiting to send u some privates. If you keep moving around but don't reply to his private chats... BAN Just do something ffs, it can't be that hard to actually take some steps and show to us, regular players steps are taken against botting. Imo doing nothing about the problem is encouraging the thought 'If you can't beat 'em, JOIN EM' and I hate that. Why would I be running around making nature runes while a lazy idiot is getting tons of nature runes while he's sleeping to discover he made another 3mil cash over night. It's just so unfair towards the regular players that I really get pissed off sometimes. Ever tried getting your strange rocks in mining guild? Hell it's nearly impossible when 30 zombies jump at the same rock you are mining...

Jagex has never cared about bots. I report multiple botters day after day. Example: I saw the same L135 in my favorite world every day on my farm tour. No matter how many times I passed Catherby the bot was there. Suddenly I noticed it was gone and when I ran from ardy farm patch to coal/iron spot I noticed it was there powermining iron. I checked the highscores and it was L99 and I guess now suiciding to get L99 mining. Not only do I report it regularly others obviously will do the same. Weeks later it's still in highscores. Makes me mad tbh

I just lost my red h'ween mask when smithing gold bracelets in edge for strange rocks. Some guy comes to me and asks me to tele him to falador to the new smith thing. He said his sum level was too low but I could help him out. I tried to help someone, got teled to lave maze and chopped in pieces by a d claws pk-fool... Nice job here Jagex, opening possibilities to get crafters killed. Never pk'ed in my life ffs!

I do think it's not bad the problem solves itself. But on the other hand the botters just do what others do all the time in RS. I've been fishing in Catherby for the last 30mins because I'm close to level and it's just insane how many fish bots there are. Ranging from L3 CB to 136 CB. If you see the same bots day after day, I can imagine the younger ones start wondering why they would do all the efforts if others don't. If programmers (these guys must be adults, can't imagine a 12y old kid develops botting strings in Java tbh) scam the kids for their money they should become the main target to focus on. It's like junkies and dealers. The cops try to get rid off both, but they focus on dealers most, because that's the most dangerous group. I hope Jagex will ever take decent steps against botters (and developers) because I get annoyed by all the bots... They expect us to report suspicious behaviour but even the most obvious ones don't get banned. I don't get it...

Grrr I can't believe Jagex did nothing about this. What's tough about killing a harmless (& prayless) person on his way to make some skilling XP??? :angry:

I'm maging some tasks now, thx to great xp from hati gloves. Are the strongest attacks always the best like fire blast on fire giants, or should I follow nature's logics and use water blasts? Not sure whether it works like that? In short: best blast to use VS fire giants? Water or fire

Why would you betray someone over a virtual item? You know it will double hurt the person's feeling. Not only has he lost hist precious rare item, he also lost a friend. (Although you aren't a friend if u do this to someone) I don't get the point of this though... A better question would have been: 'Would u report a friend who tells you he cheats the game by botting', then I would say 'Yes goddarned!' :angry:

That's the main reason why I would do it too lol. I honoustly don't wanna increase my goldpile by taking the items of the unlucky guy who disconnected or whatever. But if I see others don't take steps to bless and are just waiting to grab one or two items I might just walk there and bless the grave while 'lol'-ing :mrgreen: Flamefest would be the next no doubt, but I'm not sure whether I will see alot of graves since I'm too chicken to go to bosses and nobody dies on other places anymore.

I've completed all hard seers tasks & only three elites left. I received the headgeer thingy and went to the lady of the lake to get my excalibur for 500gp. When I use the special attack button it just gives a defence bonus but I don't see any HP adding up... Any ideas? Is there another thing I should do with the excalibur?

If I were you I would sell some once in a while. Just keep track of the value, because dumping all of them at once might cause the item not to sell at all. I'd just sell a few weekly for around med, just to make sure you're not the cause of crashing your own item :mrgreen:

My sad record is 16 toadflax, so yeah I'm not that lucky I guess... Anyway, I still believe farming is good cash and I want it to be my first cape!

Chaos druids ain't the best id, with all the botters. If I were you I'd just make sure I farm as many herbs as possible. That's a safe and fast way to get quick cash. Swamp lizards may be a good idea too for you. They are around 1.5-1.6k each and if you use a terror bird & ecto u can do quick runs. Which will allow u to get 120-150k/hr... You could also buy maples (around 50gp ea) fletch 'em into unstrung longs & sell those on ge for 65-80gp depending on the moment...

Well if you have the cash and the time to be smithing gold all day with gold gauntlets I guess it's doable

What bothers me the most is I keep seeing the same botters day after day. I always play the same world, so when I'm at ge and I notice botters I get them stuck. I do this 2 or 3x to the same person I suspect of botting. (They logout after a few mins just standing there, then run to bank and just return to the spot where I get them stuck and the scenario repeats...) I'm 100% sure the person is botting so I report him and I know others did too who noticed how I feel the botters... This proves the report system doesn't work as it should, since the community does his duty by reporting cheaters, but obviously Jagex doesn't care about botting :( They probably care more about the financial income botters create, by paying membership for their accounts, over worrying about how the other members who do live by the rules feel about the cheating... :angry:

Exactly my thought... If the USA would disappear I wouldn't be assigned to go to Afghanistan (again) to help clean up the mess they caused... I'm not against Americans in general, every person deserves his change to be judged without prejudice, but I don't like the redneck mentality many US-citizens have. In my country (Belgium) it's normal everyone contributes for everyone. I got a solid job and so it's normal I pay taxes to make sure people who can't work, are physically disabled or retired. If people get sick it's normal they don't get fired or they don't have to pay all the costs for medical care themselves... I never understood why so many people were anti-Obama's health insurance law. It's called solidarity ffs
