  1. Yea sorry about the chavonistic 'men' title. I meant it like man in 'mankind', you know, general. It also matched nicely with "media" in the title :
  2. You would edit your post just when I hit quote :shame: Lol, oh Rebdragon, I need to make some more silly threads don't I
  3. This is not a duplicate thread! I though Id try something different, sure in the past I did ten threads in ten days... but I have never done two sister threads at the same time. I don't mean to spam the forum with multiple threads, and in actuality the two threads are totally separate topics, they just share a background theme. Here I share a story and hope to read some of yours , while in the other thread I post some some amusing observations of the world around us. I hope you enjoy them both : Love is a pretty crazy thing. Sure its a Hallmark idea now but it still has a basis in something unlike anything else. While it may seem at first like Im writing these two threads because I have fallen in love, the truth is sort of the opposite. I believe I have had sufficient experience with love to now report on it as an unbiased observer, and being a scientist by degree, I feel the need to report on my findings to someone :). In truth love's affect on a man (or woman) really cant be defined or measured just like it cant be overestimated or ignored. For many women, love is a required part of life, something they are told to fantasize about and something they need to be whole. There is nothing wrong with this, and I almost wish it was that easy for men. You see for men it is different, they seem to think that love is an indulgence that is available if they have the time. I see men broken up into three groups: those in love, those who wish they were in love, and those who ignore it. Iv been in all three at one time or another and it is amazing when I look back at just what a person can do for the sake of that four letter word. To cut to the chase, heres my anecdote about how out of my way I went and how it affected my life. Hopefully you guys have similar stories to relate to: Freshmen year I met a flawless girl, petite and skinny with a smiling personality and a 4.0 GPA. Me and seemingly half the freshmen class tried courting her a few years ago. It was a vicious battle really, and after two years it ended with me finishing a close second, heh. The point of the story is how it ended. At the end of sophomore/juinor year, pre-medical students in colleges across the nation take the dreaded MCAT. Its essentially the SAT on steroids, a 6 hour test of insane difficulty on the sciences, and you pretty much need to ace it to pass. It is the sole reason why only about 3% of kids who say they want to be doctors, grow up to become doctors. Anyway, summer vacation started with my and this other guy still courting this girl. Well, I figure that since she is a 4.0 premed student, it would be best if I did good on the MCAT, for the sole reason that everyone knows everyones scores by word of mouth, and if she heard I had a good score she'd look up to me. So, since the test is in September, students usually start studying early August or late July, giving them like plenty of time to review the material for 4 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Yea know when I started studying? The first of May, for 6 hours a day, 7 days a week . I utterly destroyed that test when the day came, finishing almost an hour early. Most people left the testing center in shambles, I left with my hands twitching waiting for more. School started back up and my insane studying over the summer put me in a position where I already knew the material for the classes that I signed up for, it was a boring semester rereading stuff I taught myself, but it was glorious the day the exam results came. Needless to say, I did very well on the test and the score carried me into an acceptance at a medical school the following summer. Wanna know the funny thing? I didnt get the girl. While I was studying my butt off (for her) she was out jet skiing with this other guy. They are currently engaged, but the fact that neither of them got accepted into any post graduate programs still makes me smirk. Its still amusing for me to think about, I seriously have the worst ADD in the world, but it was gone that summer. And I mean gone. My mind was so focused on studying to win her heart I honestly don't remember anything else from that entire summer. Sure we learn from stories that love can start wars or convince kings, but apparently it can also make you study harder than a Buddhist Monk for an entire summer, and for that, I thank love. Sure I didn't get that girl, but there are others, and god knows there is no way I would have gotten into medical school without that ridiculous MCAT score. Ah, good times. But what about you guys? Surly some of you have stories of things you have done for love? We dont second guess them when we do them, but wow, do they seem amusing in hindsight.
  4. This is not a duplicate thread! I though Id try something different, sure in the past I did ten threads in ten days... but I have never done two sister threads at the same time. I don't mean to spam the forum with multiple threads, and in actuality the two threads are totally separate topics, they just share a background theme. Here I present some interesting observations, and even a mashed mp3 that I'm hosting \, while the other thread is a campfire or sorts to share amusing personal stories around. I hope you enjoy them both : A little while ago my roommate broke up with his fiance, it was pretty awkward for me since I had been friends with both of them for the past 8 years. By far the most awkward part of it all though was about an hour after it happened. He wanted me to drive him to the liqueur store about five miles away. He didnt feel like talking so I turned on the radio. Well, chance has it that Sean Kingstons Beautiful Girl was playing on the radio station. I quickly changed stations to save my friend the ordeal of hearing the word love every 10 seconds. Problem was the next radio station had another song about love, and so did the next one, and. actually, here, I split together this MP3 to show you what those 3 minutes seemed like. Really, just sit back and listen for 2 minutes and imagine that you were listening to this in my situation as I went through radio stations with a heartbroken friend in the next seat. >>Click to hear "Trap's Love Mash" << mirror: here Haha, Im not kidding, I was changing radio stations for a good 2 minutes or so and songs like those were all that came up. Finally as I changed stations from What is love to love shack my roommate just burst out laughing until he was out of breath. It was great, the situation was so absurd it was hilarious. It did make me realize just how many songs have love/relationship themes to them though. I mean, I always knew it was a lot, but man it is a lot Anyway, hope you enjoyed my little mp3 rehash. I had fun making that, and thought the Brian clip from Family Guy was fitting to tack on the end. It really is quite easy to pick up a love theme in just about any song you hear on todays radio. But thats the music business for you I guess. Anyway, the thread title said media, so we need to take a look at movies as well. We all know tons of movies have hot women in them that the main character almost always gets, and we all know that the majority of movies have some sort of love theme in them. But what if I told you that the percentage of movies with love in them isnt just over 50% it is quite possibly at 100%. Thats right, I want to make the statement that 100% of movies have a love theme in them. Sounds farfetched? Anyone else think of the Pokemon when you hear the word Farfetched? Gah, anyway, lets test this theory, but first we need two ground rules. When I say movie I mean a movie big enough to be in national cinemas, not some little obscure independent film (which are often great movies but thats besides the point). Second off, Im going to define a love theme as any of the three following acts: Romance; one character clearly fantasizing about another, even if they never hook up; family love (defined as a father or mother showing or acting on love for their family, lastly we have love for a child, defined in Oliver Twist type movies where a stranger will go out of their way and kindness to help some kid. You might not think these are all defined as love but oh well, I say they are :P Alright, now I am going to do my best to pick 5 totally random movies. Lets go with Bourne Identity Finding Nemo Aliens... MomentoLOTR Liar Liar and A Knights Tale. There, well thats six or seven but whatever, that works. For starters we have Bourn Identity, thats an easy one, he meets a German girl and they have a little fling before he sends her away to safety. Lord of the Rings has several love plots that are prominent. Momento, a movie about a guy with amnesia, the plot is about him trying to get revenge on the man who killed the love of his life. Aliens, a nice scary movie from about 20 years ago. I dont remember much about this movie, but I do recall the main character donning a mechano suit to fight a huge alien in order to protect a little girl--Bam, thats love for a child. Next up: Finding Nemo ha ha, too easy, Nemos dad swam across to ocean to find him. Liar Liar comedy about Jim Carrey not being able to lie for a day, and about him trying to prevent his ex-wife from taking his son Max away from him (aww). Finally we have A Knights Tale, oh come on now, *yawn* also too easy, I need to pick harder movies. But thats my point, you cant pick harder movies. Try it yourself, look at big box office films, look at scary movies, look at comedies, look at manly action movies. They all have elements of love. Why is this? Why cant a guy go see a movie about someone with guns who kills people and blows up cars without women and love getting in the way of the non stop action? I mean, last night I rented Body of Lies with DiCapprio and Russel Crow, a very good CIA/Iraq war flick that is quite realistic compared to 99% of action movies out there today. Anyway the story was rolling, the intel was going on, G36s were shooting at terrorists, they showed Langley was getting all into it, and bam, a romance appears out of nowhere between Leonardo DiCapprio and some Iranian Nurse. It was so out of place it was like seeing Sherlock Holmes appear as a character in a Tom Clancy novel, it was ridiculous. Likewise, you would think movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacure would be movies solely made to scare the crap out of people yet they manage to squeeze romance in there somewhere in between the heads getting chopped off. Its comical. Some may ask for the point/intention of this thread, I dont know really. I just found it pretty weird how one theme can be so ingrained into everything we watch and listen too. I mean, it is everywhere. I have nothing against it, its just kind of strange when you step back and think about it.
  5. I miss Ron Paul, such a good message he had back before Obama took the spotlight: That aside, worrying that the government is too powerful and that innocent people could be mistaken for terrorists and tortured is an oxymoron. I mean seriously guys, the more powerful the government gets (which would be a bad thing, but stick with me for a second) the more sure they would be that innocent people are NOT terrorists. I mean seriously, if the government can track everyone's phone calls, etc, etc, big brother x 1000%, etc.... then innocent people wouldn't be tortured as terrorists since they could just say "Dude, check my email logs and my GPS location for the last 10 years, I'm innocent" Let's get something strait: -big government = bad -torturing innocent people claiming they are terrorists = bad -but big government does NOT equal everyday law abiding citizens citizens being taken away by the government.
  6. China/Russia would ever declare a shooting war anyway. Doesn't matter if they beat the US in a conventional war (that would certainly be interesting), but all it takes in a single American nuclear sub at the end of the war to make the entire war a loss to everyone. Wouldn't be worth it to start a superpower war against the US, just simply isn't worth it.
  7. I'm surprised where the test put me. I would think I would be in the lower right side, but alas, I got this: Economic Left/Right: 0.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.21 Pretty close to dead center.
  8. This is actually very strange. I don't think I have had a single event that was painful out of the ordinary. I stub a toe here and there, get a paper cut, skin a knee every year or so... But no broken bones, no serious burns, no sprains, no pencil stabbings, no bad infections, and certainly no childbirth. My most painful experience was probably a bad headache I had a while back, where I could barely see strait. Not that exciting I know :|
  9. nice topic. 1) Often times late at night I dont feel like dragging myself to bed, and end up in limbo, still at my computer at 4am doing nothing important. ii) I have a pet crab named Sandy. Sandy is the room mascot and none of my roommates would ever do anything that could upset Sandy. three) Sandy is a stuffed animal crab that I bought for $3 because it was shiney and at the checkout lane. 2+2) I'm a sucker for shiney things. 101) Oftentimes when writing numbered lists and try and see how far I can get without repeating a number style (such as roman numerals, roman, cursive, etc)
  10. Everyone has pride for their own country, but I think most of us have sincere feelings about other countries as well. Maybe you really respect France's history, or Spain's courage from years past. If we keep the comments positive I think this could be a good thread to read to get perspective. I'll start, and I'll pick Scotland. Yea, it's not technically a country but oh well, it used to be. As shown in the movie, "the last King of Scotland" the dictator Idi Amin famously said "Oh, you're Scottish?! Why didn't you say so?... Great soldiers. Very brave. And good people. Completely. let me tell you, if I could be anything instead of a Ugandan, I would be a Scot." I had to smile at this. He may and killed thousands of people, but I had to agree with him on that, I wish I was born a Scot. Their culture and sense of comradery is just amazing. They even have their own formal dress that supersedes the global formality of a tuxedo. Let me clarify, for men on this earth that attend formal events in the US, Europe, Oceania, Japan, India, etc, the most formal thing they can wear is a tuxedo... unless you're Scottish, in which case the traditional Scottish kilt and jacket is even more formal and deems more respect than any tuxedo or suit. Its truly amazing how no other peoples ranging from Japan to Brazil still keep to their cultural roots that ingrained. Kilts aside, the Scots also have hands down, the best and most powerful songs ever sung. Most of you will probably recognize the melody of , one of those songs that just sends a chill down your spine and clears your mind of all the insignificant things. It's also another example of the comradery that I mentioned. To those lucky enough to be born in Scotland, songs like this hold a spot in their hearts that for others can only be rivaled by a their national anthems. Play this song at halftime at a football (read:soccer) match in Europe and you can be guaranteed that every single Scotsman in the crown will be standing and singing along with eyes welling up with tears. As if Scots needed something else to be pround of besides their dialects, kilts, bagpipes, and folk songs. They're also a people that have for millenia been strong and independent, from stopping to Romans, to the story of Braveheart, to being in the country that stopped Hitler's waves... these are a people and a culture that, to me, has no equal. I salute you Scots out there, and I present this humble Ode to your timeless land. Anyone else care to step forward and give honor's to someone else's land? :
  11. Oh yes, its entirely legal. This one guy I know that graduated a few years ahead of me changed his name to Uk Ffu. Not kidding. Can you guess why? Well as Uk told me, and I quote "you know how like serious government people arrange people last name then first name? Well, now I can f*** every one of them! Hahaha" He then added he changed his last name to ffu instead of fu since he didnt want to sound Chinese. Smart man, Uk Ffu was.
  12. Meh, I'm not really for graffiti. My motto is no matter how many laws I may break, no matter how careless I seem, never, NEVER, do harm. I mean, I'm out there to have fun, and getting people angry at what I did can only hurt me. I have "broken into" more buildings than I can count but all I do is look around. Thats it. I'v picked open lock boxes in the administration building with hundreds of dollars of bills inside them, I look into it, laugh, and lock it back up. Thats a dangerous path to go down, you need to have adamant self control when you do what me and my friends do. My roommate for example has the rule "Only yummies and memories", meaning at the very most he will eat a cookie, or muffin, or drink a soda that he finds. Nothing else. I'm in med school, hardly a felon. Nah, me and my friends are well practiced in what we do, are extremly cautious, and always have an alibi. In my half decade of lock picking there have only been two close calls. The high school prank I was in, which I learned from; and this one incident last August where I had to dive under an oak desk as a janitor flipped on the lights in the room I was in. I probably could have remained hidden but decided to just get up and leave. That was one scary event at the time but I had a solid fake story on what I was doing in the building at the time, and since I had done absolutely no harm (see first paragraph) the janitor was slightly puzzled but didn't seem to care in the slightest that I was in the Chemistry building at 4am. And that is a very good point tripsis. : I have actually posted on the same train of thought in the past, I can't believe I didn't relate to that idea before. Thats something to think about, thank you tripsis.
  13. Lol, come on guys, I have been gone for a while but I'm not a messiah.
  14. I'd use a somewhat regular first name, and a bizzare, cool sounding last name. Like...... Salike Namahsa
  15. Hey guys, been awhile since I posted. I revisited these forums quite a few times and started writing a thread, but then stopped and deleted it halfway though. Needless side track aside, I keep wondering about something during my many mind numbing nights spent studying. Am I the only one who finds ordinary life just awkwardly dull? Do you guys leave an action movie feeling a bit more sharp? Maybe drive your car up an on ramp a little more aggressively? Pull out your cellphone to check something and have a glimmer of a fantasy where its actually super high tech and you're doing something totally badass? Isn't it hard to finish watching a two hour long action movie with guns, hot women, leer jets, and arms dealers.... and then get up and start doing history homework that you need to do to get your degree and become a geologist or something even less as exciting? I mean, christ, I'm a med student whose "homework" consists of studying Ebola outbreaks and gunshot wounds and even I think my field of study is, in the end, boring and not even a 1% as exciting as what we see in movies. So what do you do about it? This is a question I'm actually asking by the way, its not one of my rhetoricals ^_^ I mean, I imagine some of us play paintball, others go camping and live in the woods... but what about the rest of us? Do you guys really not yearn for something more exciting than video games and women? Personally, as some of you no doubt can guess from my senior prank, etc posts; my hobby pretty much is doing things that aren't exactly legal, but nothing that destructive. For those of you who don't know me, these things usually consist of lockpicks, teams of 4-5 friends, radios, and areas of building most people never pay attention to. Just last week for example I was half asleep on my textbook at 2am and my roommate walks up to me "i want a muffin..." There are muffins in the fridge, I reply only to hear "yea... but I want a blueberry muffin... like the ones in the Cafeteria...". Long story short, 45 minutes later and after driving two miles, then avoiding 3 campus safety patrols, getting through about 12 locked doors, down two maintenance shafts, and through a few tunnels not meant for students, I turn to look at my smiling roommate chomping on a blueberry muffin sitting on a crate in the cafeteria's room sized refrigerator. Ever been in a room sized refrigerator? They're pretty sweet. I know I need to kick this risky hobby but wonder how I ever will be able to as I turn on my PDA, then use the stylus with my gloved hand to double check the maps and plan our way our of here. Thats something they don't show you in movies by the way, getting in is always challenging and hard, but for every lock you pick or tunnel you run through... that just means one more lock to pick and tunnel to run though on the way out, and its not nearly as exciting on the way out. Still though, the one night or so every 50 days that I spend "out there" is exciting enough to make my smile for the other 50 or so boring days of my life until the next "run". See this is why I'm wondering what other people do after watching an action movie and then going back to everyday life. Some of us paintball, some of us try hacking, and some of us take things a little more extreme... but what do the rest of you guys do?

  17. For those interested a year ago I posted the same thread topic as a follow up for a psychology experiment I did, complete with data from my surveys: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=689320 It lead to the Misfile comic being linked to these forums, and to the thread of the same name. Speaking of, if any of you do find the concept of this thread amusing, i recommend reading a few pages of www.misfile.com, it's a webcomic based on the concept.
  18. Lifetime republican, voted for Obama today. I did it for the rest of the world really. Billions of people off shore prefer Obama to McCain. The United States has a huge affect on the world, therefore I figure the world should have some say in the election. By the way, I don't care if your for Obama or not, American or not, whatever. Watch his victory speech, its one for the history books. So full of morals, strength, and done with no notes or teleprompter. Best speech I have ever seen: http://www.foxnews.com/video2/video08.h ... xnews.com/
  19. Regarding the man on the moon situation, the reason we beat Russia there eve though Russia got to space first as because Russia started going broke and pretty much stopped their space program really early on. There was no "space race", they just said that to make Americans feel better. Analogy: A Russian runs one mile down a beach(sputnik), then two miles(man in space)! Suddenly an American runner see's this and says "Crap, that Russian is going to beat me to the five mile mark!" The Russian really didn't have any intent to seriously even run five miles, and pretty much just sat down after his two miles and watched the American runner sprint past him. The American got to the five mile mark and claimed he won the race. -.- Oh, and can't you see the lunar lander with a scientific telescope? ------ As for the saving of email headers of text messages, meh. If the government really wants to waste terabytes of data on me go ahead, I'm not planning and bank robberies or assassinations. And if I ever need to, I'll just use a public computer to do all the dirty work.
  20. I'm not implying that the government is 100% focused on the best interest of the citizens, or anything else for that matter. I think we all have the misconception that the government knows whats its doing. I don't mean that as a mockery, I mean that in the fact that the people that are running things are no different from you or I. I got elected student rep for the Faculty Honors Board at my college. It makes me the student rep on the panel that decides what classes will be offered next year. And let me tell ya, there is so much crap that I really don't feel like doing. Setting up shadow days, talking to honors students, calling local business for guest speakers, getting surveys organized... it sucks really. At the meetings the chairmen says "The music department requests another $8,000 so they can take a trip to Chicago to see the museum there... or something. They weren't very clear. Anyway lets vote" and we vote and pretty much pass any request since were sick of hearing all of them. Or just like in classes I will just zone out for like 5 minutes and then I notice were voting on something. I vote yes since everyone else is. I later find out it was a vote to let a student who was failing be given one more semester to get his grades up, if we voted no the student would have been expelled. I always assumed the person in this position would be really into it and different than the rest of us, but thats not true. The president of Iran? He's just like us. He likes free time and thinks his job can be stressful. Sure he has a military under his command but I'm willing to bet half the time he just tells his #2 to take care of things for him. I'm sure some senators have minds like this: "Oh the bridges are falling apart? Didn't we give money for them a while ago? Oh that was 12 years ago? Wow, thought it was more recent...Well, we'll give them some more money I guess, lets just put off dealing with the deficit until tomorrow... yea, we can put that off." The people in power aren't so different from the rest of us, that explains how things fall apart so easily.
  21. I have learned a lot on the internet and have come to understand many different viewpoints and ways of thinking. But I can't for the life of me understand the whole "big brother" idea that seemingly 80% of the internet is worried about. Apparently people are worried that their phone calls to their friends and their emails are being listened into. They worry that the patriot act means all their text messages and MSN chats are being watched by the CIA. They worry that all their emails are being read by the FBI, and (my personal favorite) that George Bush will declare martial law on election day and announce himself dictator. Seriously, wtf? I don't even know where to start with this. Do you guys (addressing those who post about the in the above) really believe this stuff? The CIA is reading our emails... somehow. The constitution declares that Congress be in charge of the budget. This has created some national security issues such as when it when listed for all to see that 5 million dollars went to "Bribes for Soviet officers" on the annual CIA budget in the cold war. Likewise the current national budget listing show that 20,000 people are employed around the world by the CIA. Now I ask again, do you believe the CIA really reads all of your emails? Statisticians estimate that over 2 million emails are sent every second. So, addressing the 20,000 CIA employees, have fun reading those. Even if an additional 10 million people were hired in secret (lol), there is no way they could even remotely go though all that data. Some of you may be thinking "they will filter the emails for key words like terrorist" that would still amount to thousands of emails every second. In this case I'm pretty sure the CIA/FBI/NSA would rather spend their time going after the real terrorists than after your emails. Speaking of that, what exactly are you guys worried about anyway. Let's say the CIA employed 100 million people and they do read every since email and message you sent. Who cares? Honestly, who cares if some reads your email about the huge bong you made last night, or the text message you sent your friend telling him you scored last night. You know what? Here, read my last 5 emails: http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dc2gjkb2_163dmkkhfxm George Bush will make himself King. This really makes my lol. I am going to be a happy man when Obama takes office, not because I'm a huge democrat but just because then I can point to the millions of people that said he is becoming Hitler and such and just say "Ha ha, you were wrong. Sorry to disappoint you, but yes, we still have a democracy" Anyone who thinks Bush could honestly suspend the elections is delusional, we're in a country of 300 of the most patriotic, freedom defending citizens in the world... and many of us have guns. I almost want Bush to try it, it would be a fun 3 hours before everything was restored to normal.
  22. EDIT: double post. Oh well, I'll just edit in some more stuff... People here have questioned why drugs and prostitution are illegal since it doesn't harm anyone. Well, prostitution is illegal not because the government doesn't want you to get laid, but because it encourages criminals to kidnap girls and sell their bodies, this is evident in places like Thailand where prostitution is legal and rampant, and so are reports of missing 10 year olds and sex slaves. Things are usually illegal for a reason. The only time when you should question the motives of the government is not when it bans things (like drugs), but when it doesn't ban things (like alcohol and cigarettes). Because if the government isn't banning something that seems bad, then it's because lobbyists have essentially bribed them not to. If the government does ban something though, they usually do so for good reason, not just to piss you off.
  23. Three points. -I'm sick of people saying "its natural, not lab made, so it doesn't do any permanent harm" Yea, you know what else is naturally made? Cyanide, venom, radiation, and neurotoxins. I don't care if something's natural or not, in fact I would feel more safe with a lab made drug since they you know exactly what's in it. -And that doesn't mean saliva isn't addictive either. Chemical addictions are a small, small part of addictions. Millions are addicted to gambling, millions more addicted to WoW. You get usually get addicted to something because you like the feel you get when you use it, it rarely has to do with chemicals. -And stop saying salvia isn't bad for you. Drugs that mess with your neuro chemical balance enough to cause hallucinations are bad any way you put it. You damage the state of your cells whenever you use it (the pH gets screwed with and proteins get malformed overtime). Even if there was ZERO physiological harm you still have the chance of harming yourself and others under the influence. Someone in my class died from marijuana when he went for a drive while he was high. There is no safe drug, sellers just sell that idea so rich kids to scared to take heroin will still buy drugs from them. Heck even Tylenol and Aspirin are bad for you as they damage your liver a little bit each time you take them.
  24. The higher taxes actually suck quite a bit. My dad is a psychiatrist supporting a family of six, and his taxes will go up $90,000 a year. That's a lot of hard earned money that is simply taken from you. When you donate $40,000 to an homeless shelter you get to see what the fruits of you labor are doing to help people. Higher taxes on the other hand are just taken from you and sent to Washington. Sure they are used for good things like roads and Medicare, but you get the feeling that your hard earned cash is being given to people who had all the fun in school and dropped out while you were studying your [wagon] off. Again, let me emphasize the fact that this is simple how most upper class people feel, thats not the whole truth about welfare, as many of you have made points to on this thread.
  25. Urgh, that's another reason I want McCain to loose. So all the conspiracy theories and people saying "Bush will declare martial law on election day and not give up power" will finally shut up. Do people honestly think that could even remotely happen? It will be a glorious day when I see Bush leave office, not because I hate Bush, but because then I can turn to 40% of the internet and say "told ya so"
