\ Just thought I would give you guys a heads up, I have been lamenting the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) for about a year now. It was not a fun test, and I had been studing 5 hours a day, 6 days a week from mid May to the end of August. Well, the scores are now in, and I got a 31. The test is out of 45, but alas, a 31 is actually quite good (average is a 26, average of accepted applicants is a 30.5). Anyway, in return for my good fortunes I will keep my word that I gave to you all in my thread "10 days ten threads: Malaria" Yes, I will sell my long prized Blue Party Hat and then give all the proceeds away in RS for free. I will give ~1000 people on this forum 500k, I will only ask that the recipients promise to make a donation to a charity sometime in the near future. This is not going on right now so don't pm me asking for money Now, my question to you guys. When should I do this? ASAP? Christmas break since its the season of giving? The coming up summer so the hat will be worth more and more people can then be involved? Also, I don't play that much RS anymore, is 500k a good amount of cash per person or should I give 1 mil to half as many people?

Wow, I am impressed. Fantastic drawings PaperClips, I am in awe of how you can actually keep up with people; I had two 'tarot card' readings threads in my day and it was a nightmare to try and do everyone there... yet your doing the same with full drawings : Thanks for your efforts, they have amused us all.

Into the Life of a Chinese Gold Farmer
trapical replied to Hydraweapon's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't go that far. Look at it this way, would you rather work in a shoe factory or coal mine doing manual labor 12 hours a day, 7 days a week... or would you rather work at a desk, sitting down somewhere indoors? Excellent job Hydraweapon, that was a really cool idea to actually get to talk to one of them -
No joke? A "Dick Cheney" killed me in the wild :XD: when I was three iteming. I didn't even try to to run away, I just complimented him on his name and pretty much let him kill me.

Nice post  I take my waffles with a single chocolate chips in each square and then covered in whipping cream. Pancakes I just do syrup, never liked the butter thing. As for cr̮̻̉̉pes? Strawberry or grape jelly inside. I heard Nutella is good to :

Hooray for Vannesa then \ Yes because we all want to marry those girls that have posted naked pictures of themselves to anyone that wants to see them. That leads to faithful marriages

Osama wants Americans to convert to Islam! Oh, okay, why didn't you just say so? I'll get on that.

A month or so ago I attended a guest speaker who workers for the State department. The audience was mostly college kids but there were a few middle/elementary schoolers in the crowd. The speaker said "Ever since September 11th, 2001... which, in review, was a day six years ago when terrorists attacked New York..." He actually had to explain what happened since some of the kids in the crowd were only 2 when it happened. :-s I felt old. Really old. Anyway in memory of the date I usually watch clips from the morning talk shows from that day. It's chilling to see how happy they all start out and then you see the bits of info coming in and how the mood can change so fast. Eerie.

Yikes, this is a pretty racy thread guys, calm down its tip.it :-s As for Vanessa? Well, that really wasn't the smartest thing to do. In most cases I would agree with the girl: I mean she's 18, so let her do what she wants; if her family doesn't mind why should the media care? However this is one of the biggest stars for preteens. Heck she is in High School musical. Her posing nude will, without a doubt, make at least a few high school girls more welcoming to the idea of doing the same thing.

Question to those with 60+ gigs. Do you actually listen to all your songs? I have ~7 gigs and my roommate has 55. Here's how we differ in song gathering. Me: Hey I just heard "Thanks for the memories" on the radio. I like that song *download* Him: Hey I heard a decent song by Red Hot Chille Peppers. I'm going to bittorrent every album they have ever produced. :| Other times I see him borrowing CDs from other people and just ripping the entire thing. Honestly now, do you guys actually like every song on a CD? Granted this may be true for your half dozen or so favorite artists, but what about the rest of the songs you have? This program is worthless to me: I have about a dozen full albums, the other ~3,000 songs I have are pretty much one hit wonders. Maybe three Billy Joel songs, maybe five Queen songs... but mostly just singles, not many full albums. Am I the black sheep in this? Does everyone else fill their storage devices with full albums? Do you actually listen to the other 11 songs or just the good ones?

From a vintage toy store? Clearly, I need to get out more

I think it's caused by the deletion of threads. Anyway, I have 1211 listed, 821 actual. I kind of miss my 4k I had on Scapeboard :|

160 Gigs is just ridiculous. And you know that the 160 version will outsell the 80 gig version 4:1 since most kids will just want the more expensive one  I really don't understand the Apple craze. I mean there are cheaper, better players out there under other brand names, I don't think many people refute that. For example instead of the Nano you can get the similarity sized Creative Zen, it has a screen that supports 16 million colors and has a microphone, FM radio, video player, and an SD slot to expand the memory. It comes in three sizes, just like the Nano. The Nano's 2GB price = the 4GB Zen's price The Nano's 4GB price = the 8GB Zen's price and the Nano's 8 is equal in price to the 16GB. So yea, twice the storage for the same price, plus a SD slot, Radio, better battery life, etc, etc, etc Apple is amazing like that though. Unlike any other company they have a monopoly based on the sheer amount of fans they have. Other companies that have monopolies, like Microsoft or GE, have monopolies, but they are based on the fact that they have cheaper products or offer superior quality, respectively. Apple on the other hand has a monopoly even though it's products are quite a bit more expensive and they don't even offer as much as the cheaper ones :|

Ah and just a little hint, in all seriousness. When/if you do contact the university you will need to give them a better picture then the one you provided. Can you maybe borrow a camera from someone?

I also find it helpful to have the flaps set to "up" (shift + arrow key down) which would normally make the plane rise, but at the same time I am forcing the plane's nose down with the stick (arrow key up). This really glides the plane in at an angle easy enough to land And no, there are no missiles, maybe next year

Alright, I officially rock at life. I took off from the San Fransisco bridge in an F-16 and landed on an aircraft carrier near LA. The carrier was parked, but still... it was pretty sweet :

Meteorites can't have quartz. See if the meteorite can scratch glass, if it can it probably has quartz, which would be bad in your case -.-

Interesting concept, but if no one is to reply this thread will be on the second page by day's end :-s

To ID it call your closest large University. I don't know where you live but I'm sure you know the names of the biggest universities in your state. Look on their website for an email address to an astronomy professor, if you can't find it online call the campus's 1-800 information hot line and ask to be connected to the astronomy department or to a astronomy professor, you shouldn't even to have to give the operator a reason why. Keeping it depends on the value, it can honestly be worth anywhere from $0 to 15 million dollars depending on what's in it and where it's from. Also 'keeping it for your kids to sell' is pointless, meteorites don't really increase in value over time... a trust fund does. EDIT: Wait, your from Illinois? Fantastic, the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign has one of the best university astronomy research centers in the Mid-West, if not the country. Their astronomy department has it's own pageand with a quick search I found their contact info, send them an email with that picture and tell us what they say :D

Yeah considering its in the Tools menu where you go to start flight simulator, I highly doubt they wanted it to be something people had to find. Ha, I noticed that. I'm 99% sure that only appears after you hit Control A for the first time though. Kind of like the door in the Volcano in Karamanja, you can only use it after your gotten to it the hard way :

Nice find yourself on that guide No_OnE, with it I managed to find out how to land :D (it was in some field in Texas). I'm going to try and take off from a town 50 miles away from my house and land on the highway parallel to my house : Oh and no, I didn't find this on Slashdot, it was an honest to goodness accidental stumble, you can ask my friends I am a keyboard shortcut fiend, I even did a thread about it a while back.Besides, Control A (select all) is one of the keyboard shortcuts I use a lot
-
Hmm? Well you can look up into the sky and stars with the new Google Earth but that's not what I'm talking about with the whole Control A thing. Go to your home town, and keep the elevation under 20,000 feet and then try it. So far I found page up/down is throttle, and the arrow keys are pitch and turning. I'm looking for anything else at the moment... Aww, they beat me by a day. I found this one by myself
-
You need to have the downloaded program, and you probably need the version that came out a few weeks ago,you know the one where you can also view the stars? Yea, so I was trying to do a select all, cut, paste on my search box... turns out I didn't have the search box selected and hitting Control+A when nothing is selected opens up a little easter egg. Well, actually, make that a BIG easter egg. Seriously, check it out. Can't believe CNET or anyone big hasn't reported this yet.
