The new iPod family came out today.

The new iPod touch, has a touch screen obviously, WiFi internet browsing, and a 3.5 in screen. Unfortunately it only comes in an 8 and 16 gb form.

 

 

 

The new iPod classic is the same design, but now comes in 80 and 160gb models.

 

 

 

 

 

And the new iPod nano looks more like a midget iPod classic now.

About making an iPod with a touchscreen, why fix what basically isn't broken and people have been used to for a while now?

I'd be much more happier if Apple brought out an Ipod where the batteries lasted a lot longer while watching videos. I don't need no touch screen, I need battery life. :wall:

I looked into iPod rumours the other day, because last time I bought an iPod for my birthday they brought out the video one the next week :lol:

 

 

 

Anyway, as far as I could tell it looked like a new iPod wouldn't be released until April time, although I suppose releasing it for Christmas makes more sense if it's ready.

True that, thats the main thing they need to work on. Even the iPhone has that problem, while they knew about the bad batteries.

 

 

 

I wonder what it will be, I guess it will be a small design with lots of memory.

I have a $30 MP3 player with 1GB of storage, and it plays MP3's. Why the heck would I need a touch screen, telephone, internet connection, virtual pinball and videos? :lol:

 

 

 

The kids who spend/urge their parents to spend $400 on useless trash like this should get a reality check and see what they're buying. A hard drive with an LCD display with bundled playback software that is available for free.

 

 

 

Kind of like some cellphones... Soon they'll be capable of everything from writing word documents to listening to radio, except making phone calls... The reason why they were created.

 

 

 

Every device doesn't need to turn into a multi-purpose media center. Focus on having higher battery life on MP3's, better voice quality on cellphone calls...

Mh.. what exactly does an iPod? I once saw one in nature and i didn't quite get what it is good for. The friend who owns the thing, labled it a "lifestyle product". So it's just some tech gizmo i guess that you buy when you don't know what else to do with your money?

 

 

 

I guess i can life without one. I got an almost antique cellular that doesn't even have a colored display. I got a portable CD Player that's over 5 years old. I got pen and paper. I got a PC that is way more powerful then i'd need it to be in order to play RS, Civilization 3, watch movies, listen to music, record stuff and write stuff on. No. I think i definitely don't need an iPod.

While reading this post, i had alt tabbed out of WoW. When i went back, I had died. I blame the Ipod for my characters death....

Took the words out of my mouth. Good thing i bought a 32 hour battery life mp3 instead :lol:. Although it only last like 24 hours its still better than an ipod.

There already are touch screen mp3 players,Creative Zen micro for example. The thing that really make ipods different is the click wheel. If that was lost i think they would lose a lot of ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâãs.

the world has gone into expensive stuff, that loook better then they really are, iphone make you have a bill, i drop my lg camera, do i care.

 

 

 

I finally am getting a ipod, yes, i prefer cds, my friend never uses his and its only $100 away from new.

It's inevitable that there will be a new iPod, but I would keep the clickwheel. It's what sets the iPod apart. Even a touch screen won't be able to do what the clickwheel could, because other MP3s could easily use them too. I'd rather Apple focus on battery life.

Like other people mentioned already, they need to work on battery life more than anything else. My iPod Video has terrible battery life, especially when I'm trying to watch movies.

The thing that really make ipods different is the click wheel. If that was lost i think they would lose a lot of ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâãÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâãs.

 

 

 

And they just happen to be losing that. However they will be the only company offering an mp3 player with a touchscreen. Therefore everyone who wants an mp3 player that seems to come from a sci-fi movie will be after it.

I think they're keeping the clickwheel, it'll just be a touchscreen version. Which won't be as good but meh.

I hope they do release an improved Ipod. I've had my Ipod Mini for 3 (?) years, and it's getting a bit 'on'. So an upgrade might be good. :)

I've always wanted an iPod video, but I think they will be outdated soon, so I'll have to think about that. I would like to buy a Zune, but I like iTunes all together. And of course it will be released at christmas time. What else?
