I've been told that cannons have been nerfed to oblivion with eoc and are now a bad option for slayer. Is this true? I had two tasks of spectres and I cannoned them. It didn't seem to go any slower than before eoc, nor any faster..

I think I'd aught to ask this here, but are scrimshaws like auras in that once you turn them on, they degrade in real time? Can you possibly turn them off?

they used to be brutal for me, until I figured out a way to phus-brute force it. 1. Pick two bands. I usually just pick whichever two have the buttons closest to gether 2. you are going to try to match those two. Now, pick a spot. One band is going to be your main, the other is going to be your secondary. I like to have the secondary one have the rune ABOVE it, and the main one has the rune go below it. 3. Lets say that the secondary rune is a law rune. Now look on the primary band, does it have a law rune? If it does, put it under the law rune on the secondary band. 4.If all of the intersections of the primary/secondary turn green, hit the third band until everything turns green. 5. If it does not, hit the secondary band ONCE, in ONE direction. ONLY press it in this one direction. 6.Match up primary and secondary again. If the secondary has a soul, and the primary band has three souls, move the primary until you can test each of the souls. If it does not have any souls, go back to step 5

When you die a few times, and trust me, you will, opt to keep items that will vanish on death. Like avas' Excalibur, 6th axe circuit, and barrow items. And considering the royal bow costs only about 1m, best thing you can do to get it :)

I'd say it depends on how often you can check them. If you only have time to check ports once a day, or twice in the morning/evening, no need, but if you are playing all day, then it matters

I, for one, can't wait to try the NIS. One thing, just ONE thing has prevented me from playing in fullscreen and resizable mode.. Is that the chat box is transparent. Making it impossible to see some text depending on what area you are in. Dark colors? GG seeing anything in morytania. Bright colors? Not going to see anything in any snowy area.

Well, if you do put your computer to sleep, then your brother/sister/friend/thief/other bad person comes and turns it on, they can wreck everything that you do not have in your bank.. So that could be bad.

I found this out on my own, and it might not effect everyone, but I think I aught to point it out. It seems that, depending on your computer/laptop model, if you put your computer into sleep mode while logged in, when you resume the computer, you will still be logged in and the connection will have been reestablished. I've been able to log back in just by turning my laptop on, after putting it into sleep, up to five hours later. Meaning I did not have to put in my password. Just turn the computer back on. I'm pretty sure that this is because the client on the computer gets killed and brought back up so fast that it thinks it is just a temporary connection issue, so it restores the session. Now obviously if the game updates, or the IP changes, such things would not happen, but in my case, it does. tl;dr log out (not just to lobby) before you turn pooter off

Everyone who is against usability updates should really stop posting. They are usability updates. Hey, you like having the start button in a Windows operating system, so why are you using windows 7? Go back to 95! You hate how food tastes when you leave it in the microwave too long? Use an inefficient oven! You liked driving on 15mph roads because it is the scenic route? Don't use the highway. Every single one of you who is against usability changes either A)doesn't play oldschool or B)doesn't play the part of oldschool that would benefit from said changes.

I don't recall if the bonus if on every 5th, 10th, or both.. But once someone confirms, do your highest master for the bonus point task :P

Do list your killcounts and rune/rack rewards.

One can assume that, like many other things in the game, a higher killcount adds to the chance of an item with an exponentially declining rate. 13 kills may be slightly better than 8 kills, but 25 kills isn't very much better than 13.. for example
