  1. cannon and iron darts at dags is prolly as fast as u can go
  2. time to get my 3k daggy bones grinded.....500k per hour. Love ya all. Here i come lvl 126 :=)))
  3. if ur talking about the little dags set it up in the middle of the room if ur level is above 100 or closer to the shoreline if its bellow. Keep auto retaliate on and try not to wonder to far off from the cannon. Pick up the cannon at every 1k balls burned and set it up again ( this way it doesnt degrade). Bring noted food and noted pots -denote upstairs at the general shop. If u have guthans forget the last sentance. Thts more or less it
  4. well ur more or less set. Only things tht would be of use to you are fire cape, berserker and tht new rune defender thing ( gotten from the new warrior guild- stats are round +20 to attack and +5 to strenght- acts like a shield). Thts wht u miss for maximized training. In ur place id train strenght first. I know its a bwch but consider it an investment. Train it till 98 if ur goal is 120 or to 95 if 115. Then attack and def at the end
  5. I really like the dagganoth honor code. Its surreal compared to other aspects of the game...
  6. im reading a pointless thread and wasting my time
  7. 5mill is a bit steep for merchanting stacks/ phats imo but no real point in arguing. However if u made 500mill in 4months of playtime tht must mean you play less then an hour a day? Anyways there is one way of making more then 5m. And im talking about stable cash..... One of my mates is currently using that system and sometimes he lets me onboard. U get a 91runecrafting char, employ 20 or so ppl to run for u through abbys, pay them 100-200k per hour ( per person) and give a gran price of 1m to the best runner every hour. Its monstrous cash....
  8. heh gotta answer this. Im not gonna argue the entrance tactics...if u guys can pull that off without loosing a shark then respect. But concerning the rune throwing axe and ur claim that a team of 2 cant get pass the barriers without it; that just isnt true. First ur teamate and u open one gate, then they both march to the others- one goes in and prays mage the other runs back and prays melee ( for example). So its not really a must have...a few pray points u save by using it imo really doesnt justify the slot it occupies. Regarding the mage stading close to rex spawn. My point was not that he should be there waiting for the each single rex spawn. Mage should only do this in the case tht rex will or is likely to spawn while supreme is beeing meleed. And no unfortunatly u cant wait for supreme to come close to the edge, near to waterfront before attacking him. And yeap i do agree with u...only one member straight to the mage spot:) ANd then even faster back to supreme once rex gets interested in the mage. Wht i usually try to do if im maging is get inbetween the running ranger and rex with melee pray on. Tht usually does the trick and rex stays on me. On a sidenote: had an amazing day there today. 5 trips, 2 solo muds, 2 sharing muds, 2 axes, beserker, seers. It was untrue :P
  9. nice tactics guys. Would just like say a few things....if u dont mind:) U mentioned that the first guy to enter the lair lures rex away from the ladder and that the second wave of ppl immediatly goes for supreme. Id just like to point out that if u are dealing with a "two team" situation both players are forced to fo for supreme straight away. The situation can get really messy even when you are meleeing supreme without rex around, but if rex joins the party you can easily get hit with high 20s and low 30s for a good 10-15secs( if ur unlucky :P). Wht seems to help a little bit is positioning supreme in between oneself and and ones teamate. When supreme is sandwiched he tends to turn around a lot without firing his arrows. Added bonus- rex cant hit both with the same swing. But even if u position urself idealy its still risky. One person can easily die, a little bit of lag here, a little bit of panic there and its all over. So if u are duo-ing daggies with ur guthans it might be wise to protect item untill supreme is dead. A good idea as well is to use the specs on dds ( which u take instead of the rune throw axe lets say :=P ) to make supreme die a lil bit quicker. But if have more teameates then one i think its more effecient killwise to bring only one mage. THIS IS FOR 3-4PPl TEAMS: The other two or three ppl should range prime as a priority..... tht means ranger boots, barrows gloves, karils tops and bottoms ( and thts all besides the full guthan) and a range pot ( really suggest at least one zammy brew as it is a def pot and 3 sharks in one...odd will sell them to u for 5k ea). If u dont have the guthan i suggest a barrow helm besides this( best is verac, then torag, last dharok). Shark drops are frequent so usually there is nothing to worry about. But +90 range is a must for this i think. If ur range lvl is lower thn this its super useful to have guthans on u...if u dont have that, replace karils bottom with some barrows melee legs( u need a dds and a shield if no guthans) Well the gameplan is the following- after mage lures rex and the rest of the team comes in they all, as metallica said go for supreme. After supreme dies they swich to their bows and put ranging clothes on to get prime. As prime dies, supreme spawns and as supreme dies prime spawns.. and so on. Becasue u are running around constantly the little fellas(lvl 70s) are hitting u a lot less then they would if u would be standing still. But the biggest advantage of this tactics is the fact tht rangers are constantly on the move. Constantly killing daggies. They dont wait for the respawn as the mage has to. They get more kills thn the mage can hope for and....well more cash. However there are three problems with this. First one is deviding loot. ( which is only fair) Second is the rex respawn. If rex spawns in the middle of the room while "rangers" are meleeing supreme it can get very uncomfartable. Rex will often go or move towards someone who is close to his foot patroll area so if the mage doesnt react fast enough and attack him rex will go for the ppl killing supreme. U really absolutely want to avoid tht. I suggest the mage goes really close to rex spawn spot and wait for him there for a second.........and tht he doesnt attack from the distance. Allthough this situations of rex spawning close to "under attacked" supreme are rare, they can be very costly food wise. Not only becasue rex can hit quite hard but becasue if the team runs away from supreme-briefly towards or to the mage spot (which they must do in some situations- when supreme has still full hitpoints or close to it) they loose valuable time. Time they cant afford to loose. And tht is the third problem of this tactics. Between prime s death and prime s spawn there is a limited amount of time, an amount of time which is determinated by the number off ppl playing on tht server. This is why ppl sometimes reffer to worlds as fast or slow. Anywayz, ideal thing would be to adept the meleeing power ur team has to speed of the world. I can give u an estimate for maximum effeciency based on my own experience: 3 PEOPLE TEAM: 1mage,2 rangers/meleers(+120 combat 1.2oo-1.4oo pl) 1mage,2 rangers/meleers(+110 combat 1.ooo-1.2oo pl) 1mage,2 rangers/meleers(+100 combat 9oo-1.ooo pl) 4 PEOPLE TEAM: 1mage,3 rangers/meleers(+120 combat 1.7oo-2.ooo pl) 1mage,3 rangers/meleers(+110 combat 1.5oo-1.7oo pl) 1mage,3 rangers/meleers(+100 combat 1.200-1.4oo pl) If there is a 5th person wanting as is often the case we usually take 2 mages and 3 rangers. Once again this are the numbers for high effeciency....which means high stress if something goes wrong as well.Try this out on a slow world btw...so u get a hang of it. Its a lot of changing prayers all the time.
  10. Nova really got a whole lot of [cabbage] for his playing time. If anyone has any clue what the meaning of life is plz dont be shy....
  11. Howdy sk8. I think i met u like 1-time in rs ( u wearing ur trusty addy boots at a bandid tent....me making fun outta ur boots and etc.) but allways had fun reading ur posts and threads. Anywayz congratz on finishing the game and ill try to attend the party...
  12. From where im sitting ur boy cousing is the one whos "that sad". Constantly beeing called "hon", "love", "baby", "sweetheart" for a couple of items just doesnt seem worth it.
  13. u quit...thts what happened :( (come back allready....dont postpone the inevitable) Nice to know wht made u into a man, wht led u to be who you are today as u put it though. Never knew that :P For me it was mostly girls *runs to help and advice (wants to be betta....christmas coming soon)
  14. Heh. On the topic i think it would most likely discourage new players from serioulsy training a skill. And tht wouldnt suit jagex interests too much would it? They are constantly making things easier for us..... so why expect a change of trend?
  15. Let him go guys. Everyone who has any desire to quit should only get encouraged to do so. Btw Nighshire i have everything a player yearns to have and im telling u.......IT JUST AINT WORTH IT. It doesnt get any better with money.....it doesnt get better when u have the stats. If u dont like training, mindless repetition and/ or planning there is nothing in this game that justifies the time u waste on it.
  16. Da truth. It has a tendancy of causing "fetal positions" if u misread the market. But on the other hand there is no greater joy then making money of ur "fellow merchant".
  17. anyone have any idea?Post ur kills and loot. (just D2H) 10kills and nada here ...and 2 deaths of my own 8)
  18. what he said. Real friends dont play the " so-called" trust game and understand if u dont wont to risk ur stuff for a player u never met in person.
  19. We wont exclude 66 or other law crafting worlds. Exp gotten from those makes abbys crafting look like a waste of time. We were discussing most efficient money making methods and i think it is apropriate to compare them to the most efficient skilling methods around. Or do u disagree? By ur abbys calculations it takes 570 hours to get from 44 rc to 91.( lets round that up at 500 hours due to the pouches situation) U profit around 200mill in those hours of rc. 66 or other similiar worlds such as 99 etc.. offer u 30-35k exp per hour. So u are looking at around 5.2-6mill exp after after 170 hours. U loose 600k essense or in other words somewhere around 30mill. If we continue to follow the 1mill per hour scheme ( specially casue we are dealing with a imaginary 91-rc char) u ll be on terms with the abbys crafter and his 200mill in 230 extra hours. So wht abbys offers u in 500 hours (and this is pretty optimistic figure compared to ur 570 calc) law crafting companys as 66 offer u in 400 hours. I think its quite clear which is more eficiant of those two rc options. ( furtermore u are looking at extra exp in those extra 200hours- around 20k per hour most likely) And btw if u use abbys crafting as an example it seems pretty unfair to claim ( in the next sentance to top it) that getting the materials for reaching most of these figures takes time ( or gp) as well. Abbys is 10k exp per hour for a reason- and i think u know what what that reason is before hand. I think i was also quite clear on the fact that to get this type of exp per hour one needs to have materials banked allready. If not i apologize. I dont think phats are useless. :P I would never compare them to firemaking  In opposite to what you say throughout your posts, I have in fact written an article about inflation in RuneScape. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=328924.. Allthough this is a nice post u made, and allthough it really shows a more then decend efforts to understand the rs economy it really isnt a post dealing with the issue of how inflation effects the rares market is it? It is a speculation, a very valid one, on how much gp is entering the economy on a daily basics. Nothing more nothing less.( i didnt read the whole of 8-pages though) You dont seem to be real consistant in ur claims. First u claim that any increase in inflation corresponds to an equal increase in rares, then u say that the importance of inflation is (slowly)dropping and that it is the inflation rate which we should all be looking at. Which is it? Could you be a bit more clear on this subject?
  20. Concerning ur inflation theory. U dont offer a single evidence to support the effect of inflation on the rares market. U establish no correlation bewteen rising inflation and the rise in the value of the rares. If there is u could probably come up with some mathematical prediction on how the rares will react in the near future given tht circumstances dont change drastically. Prediction which would be more or less accurate. That u cant do. Let me give u some help with that. Inflation exists u say. Key. No argument there. God knows its very likely. Inflation is increasing. Ok. Well, firstoff lets look at the recent updates and their impact on inflation. In the last couple of months we had four updates for which it could be said that they had any kind of significant impact on the "natural" growth of inflation in rs. The thzarr update, ancient spells, the mage arena update and the increased respawn rate at the mage shops. The effects of the last update were somehow minored by the drop in shop value though. (U also have a number of new quests but due to their continuity we can disregard their impact on inflation.) Ok this are the only four major updates which have any type of singnificant inflation balancing effect. Besides Jagex interventions the rate of inlation must be correlated with the popularity of certain "inlation creating skills" or/and the growth in popularity of the game. The most significant impact on inflation manifested in the rares rising at their current 800 percent per year ( your theory) therefore has to come from the new found popularity of either smithing (nonexistant), crafting(nonexistant) and rc and subsequently fletching ( or the othey way around....dont really care....and not really important) and/or the mass grow in active runescape population. So if ur theory was correct and no change in game mechanics( such as new skills, etc...), as u put it, will be implemented we are likely to see another year of rares rising at the same rate. How could we not? We assume that the rs population will grow at around the same rate, we assume that high level skills will be as obsolete as they are now-if not even more so. This will lead to people devoting even more time to money making skills (fletching, rc, woodcutting, slayer, etc...) Things as usual lets say. So at the end of this year we should be seeing santas at aprox. 50mill ea, purples at aprox. 400mill, reds at aprox. 700mill blues at aprox. 1.4bill. If u tie the growth in value exclusivly to inflation (everything else is just [bleep]es) it seems unreasonable to claim we wont be seeing the rare items coninue to raise at the current rate. That would and should happen if ur theory is on the money. Fortuantaly it isnt. Inflation is not what keeps rares skyrocketing, it is merely the fundation of the process. To put it in easy to understand terms with a simple, hypothethical situation. U, duck freedom, sell all or 12bill worth of rares. U destribute ur 12bill gp between 2mill active players proportionally. Every one of those two mill players is richer by 2000gp. Lets say that Cursed you does the same....every player is now 3500gp richer. Polares does the same......now every player has 5500gp more. 500 other rare holders do the same......now every rs player is 200k for the better. Thousends of phats and other rares are sold. Granted, such a scenario is totally implausible.....but...... would the inflation be the same? Yes. Will the redistribution of wealth be changed slightly? Yes. Would the rares drop in value? Yes. Again im not claiming that inflation hasnt got "any" effect in the rares rise but it would most likely be small compared to the last years rares rise. And just a real economical example. There is a saying in the NY realestate community: ̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâûNY is devided on 42 good buildings and whats left.̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâë The 42 good buildings as they call them are located on Park Avenue and 5th Avenue or in other words just bordering on the Central Park. Those are most prestigious buildings north of equator most likely. I was just reading an article saying that some fool payed 50mill for a condo after he get approved by the buildings council. He bought it from a previous owner, who payed 5mill for it in the 1980s. Im using this example casue as u often stated the actual inflation in the rs-world will allways remain a mistery (and this are the fundations of ur theory) and that u cant predict how the discontinued market will react due to this. Well here its not. U can look up what was the inflation (or gdp) in the state of New York or even for the USA in the last two decades. By the way, the value of the condos on those two streets has got absolutely no relation with their actual worth, living their is prestigious and owning them is allways increasing ur net worth. Kinda same with those hats dont u agree? Do u think that the fact of a 1000 percantage rise in condos value over the last 20 years has got anything to do with inflation( with the new cash flowing around in the world economy) , which was and is is most likely around 2 percantage per year ( off the top of my head) or do u think it has more to do with the fact that the number of billionars in America has jumped for an amazing 3000 percent from the early 80s? In other words, do u think it has got more to do with redistribution of wealth or do u think it has got more to do with inflation? Just wondering.
  21. Hm, I disagree. Gp inflation just isn't as evident as the [bleep]es caused by concentrated wealth. Gp inflation works on the long term. Concentrated wealth (like the Slayer-richness, which was in effect about 9 months ago) causes quick heavy [bleep]es in the price, a short term effect, which only plays a minor role in the price goal of rares on the long term. Also, your 17-day figure does not impress me in any way. In opposite to your interpretation, I think that it is very fast and that it shows that phats are far from reaching a serious long-term-stagnation yet. There might not be many of such people who can make so much, but there aren't that many phats in game either. Kinda sorry i wasnt able to respond sooner. Afk for a couple of days. Firstoff regarding ur comment. I usually dont post here here to impress u mate. However if id known that that is such a must i would have tried harder. The money making methods that i listed were just examples of quickest routes for a player to get to 170mill. Theoretically quickest routes. To actually submit urself to a 10 hour schedule for 17 days is a completely different matter. I think its more or less obvious that there are only a handful of player who are prepared to subject themselfs to 170 hours of non stop slavework such as rc or swiching. Also beleive that not to many players would agree with ur assesment that 170 hours is a small price to pay to get a blueishly coloured hat. (For example; 170 hours of rc will most likely bring u to at least lvl 91( essence banked naturally) no matter what is ur starting level. 170 hours is also 15mill mage exp ( materials banked), 14mill range exp (materials banked), 9mill melee exp, 8mill pray exp ( materials banked)etc...) But i guess that all depends on how high one values his or hers time. Listed the most popular and/or desirable skills for a reason. With the phat rising at their current rate, NEW, smart, dedicated players will soon be placed infront of a dillema. Would they rather complete the game skillwise or be the proud owners of a blue phat. This is why i was saying that new players will not participate in the phat market. This is why i claimed there is a certain limit to the raise of phats( and of other rares) With raw materials staying foot pricewise and with phats rising at the current rate the dillema will sooner or later stop beeing one.
  22. There is a slight difference in the situation imo. When the prices of blues were between 50 mill and 70 mill a lot of ppl were able to make close to tht amount in a matter of days. Now only really dedicated 91 rc, rich 2 char mage guild swichers, 24 7 merchants, lucky, dag and kq killers, and also lucky 85 slayers and stakers are likely to "make" 10mill per day. So it would take around 17 days of really non stop work for an experienced rs player to get enough to buy a single blue hat. Back when the prices were round 70mill ( im leaving out the 2 recent rises ..the first casue i think that it happend beacause of transference of all gp founds into rares (bank pics of a lot of players kinda support this idea).....and the second because u urself claimed prices are likely to be a bit inflated) a lot more ppl were pulling in 10mill daily. And when the prices were 50m ea u had even a larger group of ppl doing so. I agree with ur statement tht the prices of phats will "always remain to continue upwards if the game mechanics don't change too much". But to claim that they are gonna continue to rise at the current rate or slow to it is completely naive. There is absolutely no fundation for such a prediction. Wht drives the phat prices up is not gp entering the economy but concentrated wealth. If there is no possibility offered to players in that perspective then prices will become stagnant. Real soon.
  23. This is exactly what i think will happen to phats in in the near future. New players and even old ones who havent amassed cash will be so disgusted with phat prices that they ll leave the phat market completely alone. R2 and Ducky seem to think that the recent rise in rare items is a sign of economical health in the rs market. But when i check the rares forums i only see ppl who are flipping rares ( buying one and selling the same phat in the next minute) and hardly anyone who has any intention of actuallly keeping wht he or she purchased. Might be different in fallly2......but havent been there in peak hours for some time now.
  24. ohh and Ice-phats rose to more or less their current value before the ban. Maybe there was a leak :P
  25. heh i sold skord around half of his 98 smithing a year or so back.... remember the crazy bargaining we had on those mith and and addy bars then :=) Nice to see him doing well...keep up da good work bro.
