Its probably only a consequence of the decreased drop rate of robins and rangers due to new clue rewards release ( of which 3rd age has the least effect). One of my friends speculated about this after the so called 3rd age update and bought around 40 of this range sets at 5m or so.

Its becasue they use large teams there. 5 people inside lair in most of the picks. Not really economical in my opininon but in the end gets more drops ( but less gp share per person) then the more effecient 3man teams.

Yes but those are for the cheap weapons, this is one of the most expensive weapons in the game. A ddp++ has a better special and is available at 1/30th of the cost. yes... and a abby whip doubles a ddp's stats doesnt it? Lets see... 30 times the cost of the ddp++ 2 times the stats of the ddp++ stats =D> Somewhere along the line I think it's a little uneven. Could be just me though :wall: a bronze skimmy is only 5x worse then a dds....costs 50x less. Go fetch one

The influence of skillcapes on rares prices is probably mild at best. Most people, well the large majority of players does not really give a damn what kind of skillcape do they own as long as they do own one. And if they do allready have one, they merely want it to be trimmed pronto. Thats more or less it as far as i know ( i might be wrong though). Fastest skills to level at decent gp used/ exp gained and exp/ per hour ratio are cooking on one side and the fletching on the other side. This two skills together with combat training are probably the most used training methods for players which want to get a skillcape fast and/or cheap. I see no ( or little) correlation between training in this skills (or most others) and rare market beeing almosts stagnent for the last 8 months. Rares are probably staying foot becasue of two main reasons: - Jagex seems to have developed and is enforcing a strict "anti-inflation policy" - the impossibility of concentrating capital.

actually those people dont get extremly rich. But the merchants who buy them of them do get extremely rich. Profits are round 30m per day if u deal in 3rd age items i think. They should have made lvl 4 clues for this though- i totally agree. Something only Dkings, Kqueen and Kbd drop or something to that effect.
