yes they are both spyware rmoval tools. I suggest getting and using both. But if you just want to use 1 use ad-aware. Make sure you update both prgrams before you scan with them.

i can't read your log, but it looks like all or most spyware. We need the whole log not just the bad stuff. Before you do hjt please scan with ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, and your virus scanner. all can be googled to get

If for some reason you want to see an image from a person you don't know. Have them upload it to http://www.imageshack.us and send them you the link to it on imageshack. That is much safer so you don't put your computer at risk

ok, first of all i would suggest is never to open any file from someone you don't know. Scan with ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, scan with your virus scanner or use housecall ( http://www.trendmicro.com ), then post a hijack this log. All these programs can be googled to download. wish you all the luck getting your runescape acount back.

for overall sercurity please use the following. note: these are only tips and suggestions some other people can be right to :wink: download ad-aware for spyware scan ( http://www.lavasoft.com ) use firefox it's more safer than IE you dont have to, but its a good idea ( http://www.getfirefox.com ) a free virus scan AVG ( http://www.grisoft.com ) For a firewall you can use zonealarm free edition ( http://www.zonelabs.com ) and hijackthis which was already posted. Do not delete anything youself post the whole log here and let other people help you. The most common sence thing which some people don't do is windows update and install updates. windowsupdate.microsoft.com

there is a sticky in the media board about this type of thing but i will tell you anywase. First take the screenshot and save, upload it to http://www.imageshack.us, then copy the link from imageshack to here and put between image tags.

we also need the top part of the log. Make sure you scan with ad-aware, and/or spybot search and destroy. Both can be googled to download them. That will get rid of any spyware you may have, and make people's jobs alot much easier.

did the window totaly close out? If you were using the runescape client you might have the old verson. The new verson does not have that bug in it anymore. Only download it at http://www.runescape.com

well if its a shortcut, right click icon/program> properties> shortcut> change icon button.

when i upgraded from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 i uninstalled 1.0.1 after i downloaded 1.0.2 and everything was fine with mine. My bookmarks were there and everything.

yes it is safe to delete the old versions of firefox. Unfortinatly firefox isn't a clean update which means it doesn't delete the old verson. I am prety sure you can delete the old paintshop also, get another opinion on that though.

i have a couple that are my favorites. PSP (playstaton portable), ps2, and pc. The only thing i don't like about the computer is just to play the high end games you gotta spend tons and tons of money.

i can a little bit. I don't think that im that good but people from my class say i am. :D There is a couple people in my class that can do it, i pick up moves from them, time to time. I like to do it for fun, but i have battled some people at one of my school dances. Didn't go so good for me, wasn't the best song to dance to. :D It was kinda slow for my liking.

thats a realy good guide! :D I think this should be stickied so we don't hear i never had a keylogger or any type a virus and still got hacked, how? This realy taught me alot also. Told me about what the odds are, and how hard it is to guess a password. Thank god i have different passwords for everything, and i use random passwords with "wierd" symbols. :D

i learned to swim when i was 7 :D i had lessons, didn't work and i had them for about a year. Then i go on a family trip and learned to swim on my own in the pool at the hotel. I am kinda scared still if i'm on a boat swimming in the ocean with nothing to hold on to. But i manage. :)

oh shoot i forgot to add something, on the adress you have to delete (caution - executable file) from the end also.

this is kind of an obvious question but have you tried restarting your computer? I had the same problem last week with runescape and it worked for me. Try downloading the runescape client at ]http://www.runescape.com/aff/runescape/runescape[Caution: ExecutableFile] only download the client from there. Change the adress at the end to exe and it should download. Hopefully you can get to that runescape page.

thats what i have a trial of but to buy its like $650 which is what my computer cost :) so its alot of cash for a program just to make sigs

if i find out how to make good abstract sigs i might buy paint shop (alot cheaper than photoshop)

how do you guys make the abstract sigs? Do you get the abstracts from a website? and i got photoshop (trial) and paintshop pro9 (trial)

do you do stick figure avy's? if so i'll buy one for 20k i want: stick figure with a blue phat on with his arms folded laughing and or chearing. then for text i want it to say "don't mess with the best or die like the rest". then next sene have it say 1250+skill total, 80+ fleching over the character. just tell me if you don't do avy's
