My school got something like this. Just coast over $5k and a whole lot bigger. I'll explain. We got windows tablet with a labtop, projector, and a "smartboard"/screen that you touch, can draw ect. We have it all set up on this 52" board that we all use in math class. Since his hand writing sucks, he write it with the pen then highlights it and it turns it into "normal" computer writing. It's awsome. We all got to draw on it. Draw where ever you want. Desktop, over anything. Doesn't have to be in a word document either. Best thing playing pinball on a screen as big as you. :D It's awsome if you want to make drawings, and sigs.

My USB ports are not working correctly. The 4 in back are not, the front 1 is. My mouse is a USB mouse so that is a problem. It's plugged into the front one now. The ports are working somewhat. When i plug my mouse, ipod, psp ect. into it. It can see that something is there but it always says: Windows has encountered a problem with your device blah blah. SPECS: windows XP AMD athlon XP 3200+ 512mb ram If you need more info just ask.

when i had AOL (dial-up) worked fine for me. Does it load at all? Or just stay at the same piont? Have the latest version of AOL? 9.0 sercurity edition SE Try connecting to AOL, minnimize AOL. Load up the RS client and play from there. If it is still slow, your outa luck. I have aol (broadband) so ill test if it loads at all. I'll try to set my dial-up aol run and see about that.

Just used this tool. I can see a slighty better speed now. It found and cleaned over 300mb of junk/stuff to delete. TIP: If anyone wanting to try this delete your history, cookies from IE and firefox before scanning with this. Thats only if your an impatient person. Took 4mins, without cookies ect, 30 secs.

ok, thanks. Windows makes a restore piont everynight for this computer so i'm fine on that.

I looked at this thread here, http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=269378 . The guy that suggested ccleaner program to clean his computer out. I looked at it, seems prety good. So i want to use it but there's alot of options. Which should i check/uncheck? I don't want to delete good stuff.

i don't know much about windows 98 gold, but i think you need to go to windowsupdate and update windows. I know your IE is out of date (there's a SP@ for IE). http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

first thing you ahve to do is UPDATE WINDOWS. You only have SP!, SP@ has been out for sometime now. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all critical updates. EDIT: sorry didn't realize untill after i posted this that your on windows2003, thought you were on XP. :oops: (would caught myself sooner if tip.it doesn't load so slow) You are up to date on windows2003

time to go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com It is very important to your computer's surcurity to download all the critical updates. On a side note, scan with ad-aware, spybot search and destroy, and your virus scanner. Make sure the definitions are updated. Links can be googled for.

scan again, with all the updates. Then post what it finds with the tabs open.

is that a skin program also? Or is that for like the system monitor buttons and stuff?

ok, i might try windowsblinds. The only thing with desktopx (yes your right on the guess) is that it has the menu to see how much ram your using, CPU, Tempuature, ect. Which will be realy usefull to me. Can you do that on windows blinds?

i read the thread similar to this. Didn't help me alot. I tried installing a them from http://www.wincustomize.com , i downloaded winx thing from the other thread to make it work. The thing is though i installed it, and the screen went black, were none of my icons, and the theme was not fully working. I had to restart my computer, did nothing. To get it to work again i had to restore windows from yesterday. So i need instuctions on how to install it right. I thought everything was working, guess not. So help me. Thanks in advance

ok i end up un-installing then re-installing the driver for the mouse. It worked. I didn't know that a simple problem could cause so much hassle. I would think since logitech has some of the ebst gamming mice, they would make some damn better controlls. Can someone please check my hijackthis log? Since i re-installed the driver i have some unessaries then. Thanks. Log will be reposted in first post in a few.

i didn't say little cousin. I have to stop people going on my computer. I wasn't here when he did it and he could have done something witht the driver. All my cd's/disks for the computer are right next to it. :lol: edit: i guess i'm going to un-install the driver and re-install. I had problems with the logitech driver before, but oh well.

heres all of them. Another question, i'm am currently low on usb ports (1 open). My mouse is on a usb port, is it faster on usb or the normal ps/2 (that the right port) mouse port.

if your on dial-up i would leave your computer downloading all the updates over night. I had dial-up the first week when i got my new computer. Took some time to download all the updates.

proven fact, i don't have it. I am not crazy :lol:

my old dial-up i thought it took around 1min for mb to download. Thats only 8.5mb max so around 8 and half mins i would say. Corse it would take take twice as long since i was on 56k. Guess i must be mistaken :?
