  1. Do you have AOL parental controls on? If you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re on anything besides Adult it blocks whatever it thinks is bad. I agree with indy500fan AOL sucks. Slow, useless features, bad customer care, and a lot of problems. If you do cancel AOL, good luck. When my mom went to cancel the addon service of it we had (she liked the email), she was on the phone for a half hour with them trying to persuade her to keep it.
  2. No i do not. I am playing: Call of duty2, Battlefield2, Doom3, Brothers in arms. A few others also.
  3. MX518 I suggest. Or anything gaming grade by logitech. The MX518 is about $50 (American). I have been using a MX510 for about a year playing COD1 and now with COD2 :D .
  4. I have an MX510. It's the best mouse I have ever had. I have had it for over a year now and it's getting pretty old. The right mouse button barly works anymore.
  5. Nice specs you have. Very similar to mine. I bought a new motherboard and processor like 2 weeks ago :) . AMD athlon 64 3500+ 1gb of ram PC 3200 Radion X850 PRO 160gb hard drive logitech mx 510 Saitek PC gamers keyboard (with the cool blue lights in it :) ) 17" CRT monitor (nothing special) Logitech 5.1 surround sound (forgot model number) I'm saving for a good 17" or 19" Wide screen monitor but there so expensive. My case is nothing flashy with lights or anything so useless to post a picture.
  6. ok thank you guys. The showwnd[Caution: ExecutableFile] is infact my keyboard. I have an EMachines computer which I think is a branch of Gateway.
  7. Well I recently formatted my computer and of corse with the recovery disks comes junk :( . I get this ATI bar on the side of my desktop and can not find what it's called to remove it. 8. Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install all critical updates. Including service pack 2.
  9. Anything that is 851.7k is a virus from limewire. That virus is on almost all searches you do now. Unfortantly limewire doesn't controll what's on their servers. Have you scanned with your virus scanner? If you don't have one AVG is a good one. Google for the link. If I am not mistaken a virus can't be run in a .zip folder. Limewire makes a folder called "incomplete" to put unfinished files or files you have cancelled. If their not complete they should be in there. If you try to delete them just off the list in there, there just gone form that list :) .
  10. 1.5mb down 768k up(not sure about the up). $50 a month for 1.5mb? Thats kinda expensive, isn't it? My internet (same speed) is only $30 a month.
  11. Yes I have used it. It's pretty much cabbage till they release the keyboard. Sony should have put the speed to 333mhz when the browser was released to make things faster. The thing can go to 333mhz but it's only clocked at 266mhz. :?
  12. ok, i guess i am just going to wait. I will be buying 512mb of ram (pc3200) though. Thank you for everyone's help.
  13. I was not trying to win anything. It just seemed as you were saying that people just stole so they didn't have to work. My mom use to work a minimum wage job and life was very hard up untill i was 13 (not to long ago). Then she got a very good job so i am living alot better now. I know what it was like not to have anything at all and see all of them have everything in the world. I was not jelous but it did tick me off. People say i have alot now but i have the same as the them. The only difference is i know what it is like to not be able to aford these things. People in my school are preps that have not worked a day in there lives and do not know what money is worth. I wasn't trying to flame you but I just feel when people say all poor people are lazy or something around those lines it just offends me. My mom worked so hard to provide for me and her(parents are divorced). Enough of that I'm done. :D
  14. Still waiting for an anwser to the question above. Well anywase this card is $430 and is the 6800 ultra card. It's AGp can go in my computer now. If anyone knows if i can get this cheaper please say so. http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE
  15. I find this just sickening. They could STILL be working and not be getting paid enough, so they have to resort to stealing food. If you ever were working and know how it was like to be tight with money and not get everything you wanted maybe you would understand more. Choices are you don't have enough money for food and die, or steal food and live. I use to know how it is to be poor. I know what is like.
  16. I guess I only have the normal PCi slots. I thought they were all the same  . PCI-express I hear is faster. I want a graphics card that will last a long time without buying another one soon. So is AGP slot slower? If not i'll get an AGP card. Which is my only option with this computer now. If PCI-express is faster so should I just wait about 2 months and buy a PCI-express card with a new modo with PCI-express? If thats even worth it that is :? . Here's the Geforce 6800 ultra card that is AGP/x8 http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=SEARCH How do I check my mobo to see what type it is? I know I have 2 slots for ram and can hold up to 2gb ( 1gb 2x).
  17. I forgot to add. I have 1 AGP slot and 2 free PCI slots. I also have over 400w power supply so power is not an issue.
  18. Well I am an extreme gamer and my onboard crappy graphics card is fast but holding me back. I have $400(USD) to spend on my graphics card. I also prefer NVidia cards. Links of graphics cards: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 3712392168 http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE The last one is the new 7800 card from Nvidia but it's $400 as the 6800 card, how is that? There are some more cards on bestbuy and compusa that are $450, they probily are better. If I should buy one for a ltitle higher, I just have to wait a week. I am also only using 512mb of ram. I want to add another stick of 512 in here. The only thing this computer came with PC2700 ram :( . So should I buy 2 512 stick with PC 3200 ram? How much difference is pc2700 to pc3200? Thank you for your help. If you have better cards to choose from, or better links just post them :D . I am not installing these myself so don't worry that I would mess something up  .
  19. Cool, I just donwloaded it. It's much faster than firefox. Tip.it loads just as fast as a normal webpage :D . One quick question though. Does Opera have extentions like firefox? If so where do I get them? If they do have them is there an adblock one? I need the adblock one to block some of the ads on here (sorry about that) because there's one that drops down into a big ad and sometimes freezes and is imposible to close unless you reload the page. EDIT: problem, everytime i click on a world to load it brings me back to the main runescape page. Any Ideas why it's doing that?
  20. I love school except for the teachers, the tests, the classwork, and the homework :D . I know school helps you to learn more things ect. but with 7 long borring classes with teachers babiling about something boardom comes very fast. School takes up most of the day. When people say you see your friends in school, yes you do but you could see and talk more out of school.
  21. Make sure it's also the right file format. Check and see what you psp version is, go to on your psp Setting> System setting> system information. If you have anything lower than 2.0 you can only put .mp4 files on your psp. With 2.0 (if you don't have already) can support more file formats and offers a nice web browser :D . To download go to network update on the PSP(if you have a wireless internet conection. Or to http://www.playstation.com and look for a picture that says "psp 2.0 update"
  22. blade995 replied to frogspoons's topic in Off-Topic
My real name is brad, all my friends and classmates call me b-rad or b-rad g. People got that from malibu's most wanted movie. My mom and my family just call me brad. Or people think my real name is bradly, it's brad.
  23. Ok, I have been downloading 4.0 which is like 3.09gb. The 3.9 like you said is about 700mb. I downloaded the 3.9, burned to a cd. So I load it up, it's loading, then it said something like this. A:/ I think I need a camand line to start it? Uhh where can I find that? Or is that not the exact file? I'll try that program to check if it's idenical. On nero there's an option to burn a bootable disk, thats what i'm using. I'll look for the burn using an image thing.
  24. Thanks hannibal that gave me some more insight on the program :D . Well you said it fits good on a 700mb cd, but the downloads I'm getting are 3.09gb of data. I downloaded the huge file over night. I don't mind putting it on a dvd, I have plenty. I am using bitorrent to download the file. Well I put it to a dvd using nero. I went into my bios and changed the boot sequence to boot from the cd drive first. Well it's still loading windows. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I have a cd drive and a dvd/cd burning drive. My normal cd drive can not read dvds. In the bios it just said cd-rom drive it didn't say a drive letter. So would it read both cd-rom drive for the disk? I don't know what I'm doing wrong :? . Please help.
  25. Well I have been curious for some time about using linux. Mostly Knoppix, because nothing has to be installed and can boot from a cd. Plus when i want to use windows or don't like it I can simply remove the cd. Well I have a few questions before I go and try this. I know you can put this program on a cd and dvd but which would be better for speed, booting ect? I am not as "all kowing" of a computer like you guys but is there anymore skill to use? I have read the FAQ on thier site, but it doesn't say how big the program is. So can it even fit on a normal 700mb cd? Uhh any tips or suggestions about this?
