  1. You can buy a glove softener. It's a foam that you put all over your glove, it works pretty good. Make shure your glove is genuine leather or it will not be as effective. I found this for my glove at D*cks Sporting Goods but I'm shure you can find it other places.
  2. DO NOT delete this. This is a Windows file that you cannot run your computer without.
  3. Scan with your virus scanner. AVG free edition is a good one if you don't have a scanner. Then scan with Ad-aware and spybot. Then post a Hijackthis log so we can see if theres anything more to clean out.
  4. If your using Firefox you can't hear any music. Thats because the Runescape's music was coded for IE only. Check the settings tab in Runescape to see if you have the music on also.

    1. Knoppix since it's a live cd. This way you can try it before you install linux to your system. Then if you like Linux you can install one of your other choices. Either one is good. I do not recomend using Knoppix for a main OS since it's slow because it's running from a cd/dvd. 2. A couple main differences are that if your a gamer you will not be able to play most of your games. Linux is more secure than Windows because less people target it for attacks. 3. http://www.distrowatch.com is an excelent site for finding the right distro for you. It also gives you links to download the distro and what is the latest version. 4. Linux does take some getting use to, but I do enjoy it. I find windows is more user friendly. If you deside on a distro that installs to the hard drive dual boot linux and windows so you can always swich back.
  6. Thats bull. That computer would be atleast $5,000+. Your either super rich or your lying out of your a**.
  7. Looks like a good computer. You could save some money getting a cheaper power supply like this one. Antec TruePowerII 480watt $80 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 8171039303 or Antec TruePowerII 430watt $65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817103928
  8. I've bought 3 complete computers part by part online in my life and I've never had any problems. The only time I ever got a bad component, I returned it with less hassle then most of the crap I've returned to best buy. Online stores'll save you a ton of cash and generally have better customer support and return policies than many of the major stores. (Granted I only by from reputable online stores like newegg, zipzoomfly, monarch, etc Exaclty why I buy online. The same comparable processor (3200+) was like $250 at Comusa. I think it might be the hard drive too. I will try on another computer and see. This hard drive is pretty old. If it's gone be a nice posibility to upgrade to a SATA2 hard drive.
  9. The heatsink is installed properly. In the bios it says its running at 35© degrees. I can't even install any of the drivers. This is after a clean system restore. It is going so slow that it will not load a cd to get the drivers. Now it wont get past the Windows is loading screen. I was thinking maybe I needed a patch for windows to support 64bit CPUs? Then I tried using the 64 bit Windows and it's still the same thing.
  10. I have tried re-installing twice. Once with x64 windows trial and one other time with xp home. Both doing the same slowness thing.
  11. I bought a new processor and motherboard and installed them. I reformated windows and now it will barley booting. It is running the slowest possible. I went into the task maniger and it said the CPU was running at 100% all the time. It was running the slowest I have ever seen. It was too slow to even boot a cd for drivers to install. Specs: opteron 144 (new) socket 939 epox EP-9NDA3J motherboard 1gb ram windows xp home I'm currently booting from a knoppix (linux) live cd which is running fine. I can download drivers if I need to from this linux distro using firefox. Someone would have to guide me if I have to do anything serious on linux though. I don't know what I should do. I was thinking maybe the bios didn't support this processor yet? Then I would just have to flash it. The thing is I don't think you can get a start-up disk from linux.
  12. It may seem that way but AMD can out preform Intel in gaming and most other things. You can compare CPUs here. http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html
  13. http://free.grisoft.com A good free virus scanner.
  14. I think they should just drop this. The best games have vilolence in them. There was a study a while back (can't find the website atm) but it said violence from young people decresed from 1990 instead of increasing because of the violent games. If you don't know that it's just a game then you shouldn't be playing it. I think the sale of MA games to minors should be enforced. I walked into Gamestop and bought GTA liberty city for the psp and they sold me it. I'm only 15 too.
  15. Yes there is. 2x 512mb sticks would be better than 1x 1gb stick because the two 512 sticks can run in dual channel and produce more bandwidth. 512mb sticks usally have better timmings than the 1gb sticks which is how fast the memory can respond.

They ask you to sign a contract, you pay them something like $15 a month or w/e you want and you get a 'free' cell phone with something like 60 'free' minutes to call a month. The contract usally is for one or two years. Worse than that most of the time. Some companies make you pay $40 minimum per month for 1 or 2 years. Rebates are always good to get stuff cheaper after you pay the regular price first. Those rebate checks take some darn long to get to me.
  17. Almost all onboard sound cards support 5.1 or better. Might not be as clear as an offboard, but the difference isn't much.
  18. Broke my arm from skateboarding. Broke my foot skateboarding. Broke 2 fingers while playing basketball. Sprained my ankle about 20 times. Injured my back pretty badly playing football. Cracked my head open in 5th grade durring gym while running laps. Somebody tripped me as a "joke". I'm still in one piece though  .
  19. I like school except for the tests, quizes, homework, and the teachers :D .
  20. An hour and a half just today to get home from florida. Those sercurity check pionts are so damn long. Then another hour in New Jersey for sercurity when we swiched flights.

  23. Story line and game play= FEAR Multiplayer and considered best WWII fps= call of duty2 FEAR can get intense, thats why I like it :) . The scary part makes all games better.
  24. I would be the laid back teacher. I know how it is to get yelled at repeatidly by strict teachers. Not fun at all.
  25. Sorry for a double post. This motherboard from Asus came into stock at newegg today. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131541 Looks good to me. Anybody with more knowledge than me look this over?
