Well what are the memory speeds and clock speeds on both cards? I personaly would have went with the x700 only because I find ATI's cards have better preformance for the price of mid ranged cards. It comes down to the specs on whats better though.

I thought the AMD 64's and Turion 64's(moble cpu) had the cool and quiet technology. I could be wrong also.

My family PC/ my old one was an E-machines and I never had lag. It's probily what phil said, a java issue.

SSX On Tour 9/10 The soundtrack is realy great. There is skiing and snowboard compitions. Including races, trick pionts, slope (how many pionts you can get in a normal track). The better you get and the more compitions you win and you can unlock new boards, skis, and clothing to increase your preformance. I only rate it a 9/10 because on a couple events they can get anoying how difficult it is. Another thing is that you can not play online via infrastructure only Ad Hoc. ----------------------------- NHL Gretzky 06-- 7/10 It's like any other hocky game you have seen or played. The graphics are pretty good but the crowd looks like paper cut outs. The gameplay is decent. This is not a game you will score tons of goals. You need to earn every single goal. Don't exspect to play online either, no people ever on.

Finding some good spots that you can skate are way better than a skatepark :D . Best of all I have 7 stairs at my house. I can gap them most of the time. About a year ago I tried it, I landed it a few times right before. Then I tried again, broke my foot. Very painfull, now everytime I try I have an uneasy feeling about it. Luckily I haven't fallen since on that set.

I skate. I'm pretty good. I have a blind board thats broke last week. I got to go buy another with some christmas money. I am riding some Tensor trucks, Abec 5 barrings, and spitfire wheels. I won 13-15 year old skating compitition :) about 5 months ago . There was $200 in prize money too 8) . Since it's an indoor skatepark (15min drive) they have compitions alot. Only entered one since then and I lost :( . Now it's snowing here so no outdoor skateparks I can use.

I have come to my conclusion that it's defently my mcafee doing it. I uninstalled and was getting over 100 FPS without it. I have tried reinstalling both the firewall and virus scan. Did not fix a thing. Any ideas how to fix it before I go shell out money for a Nortan subscription?

I am currently playing: Call of duty2 Quake4 Battlefield2 F.E.A.R Doom3 (with the classic doom1 mod) It happens on all games. My settings are low for all multiplayer and high for singleplayer. I have tried even swiching singleplayer to low and still happens. edit I have found what might be the problem. It seems my mcafee is taking up some huge cpu usage. Around 90-100%. It does it only sometimes off and on. My mcafee never acted like this before :? . If this is something that mcafee does now, I'm swiching to Nortan.

Recently playing any game I am getting FPS (frames per second) about 95 to 12 every minute for atleast 15 seconds at a time. Looks like a slide show at times :( I have looked over all my hardware settings to see if something was changed, it was not. I updated my graphics card drivers to the new catalyst 5.12. Scanned with spyware scanners, Mcaffee ect, found nothing. Note: I had the slow FPS before and after I updated to catalyst 5.12 Any ideas what could be causing this? :? specs: windows xp home AMD athlon 64 3700 1gb ram ATI radeon x850 pro

Well did you buy a cd substriction? Then find your cd to install that way. To uninstall Nortan go to start>programs>Nortan icon> click the uninstall icon If there isn't one go to start>controll pannel> add/remove programs> then find nortan and click remove. Make sure before you remove it you have a copy to install afterwards.

Why in the world would you ever need 2TB of hard drive space? Thats 2,000gb. I can hardy fill up a 160gb hard drive :? .
