Excellent guide. I tried this out myself before and was quite disappointed by the PURE ess requirement. If there was a steady market for this I might actually consider it. If they only required regular ess then I would do it for my own use.

Defenders are simply small daggers held in the off-hand (yes, held LIKE a dagger is held, lol.) They are often called "Main Gauche", which means left hand or something in french. They were superior to bucklers and other shields in duels against a "thrusting" weapon but inferior against "cutting" (slashing, chopping, etc.) weapons. Since daggers offered a superior form of alternate attack (stab/slash as opposed to bashing their heads in with the shield) and thrusting weapons were viewed as more deadly than cutting weapons, they were much more frequently used in duels. Thrusting offerred both a longer reach and a more protected form of attack (until some guy thought to simply step back and hack at the attackers' arm that is, lol. Took awhile, though.) Another great thing about them is that they offered better chances of a "riposte" (attacking immediatly after blocking/parrying an attack). So it is held by the "stub" like a dagger. The vantage point that the picture of the defender is taken makes it appear much too small to actually hold on to. A dds would look the same if pictured that way. ...history lesson over. :XD:

You are going to get 90% mixtures. I have maxed qp, 1700+ total, and 111 combat so I fit in all of the categories except slayer (69, sigh). Meh, I choose mixture. Maybe you could try: Staker Pker Skiller Specialist Skiller (skill pures or one extremely high skill compared to your others) Quester Mini-gamer (Sole goal is full cw gold armor, full void knight, etc.) Merchant Then you could either say "Pick what you are best at" or maybe "Pick which you do/like the most". Mixture is a cop-out... which I used! :XD: Just my two pennies. stuff like staker/pker would be combateur as i am a (former) staker and am in combateur.. specialist skillers...well they are skiller mini-gamer and merchant..well i can think of a thread title for that which i might post in the near future once i get a poll script for it Wait, slayer isn't specific? Anyway, the point is that you are going to get loads of mixtures since that is what EVERYBODY actually is. I am surprised that so many people didn't notice this. I could understand the f2pers who have just seen pictures and maybe newby p2pers who haven't made it past white wolf mountian but it seems rather obvious. I read the first post and expected 2 pages of flames and was shocked that most people didn't make the connection. Meh, start being more situationally aware people. :P P.S. My worst trip to prison pete was with Laikrob during Leesters party. If somebody does immoral things in a GAME I would be worried about their choices when it comes to something ACTUALLY important. Taking the easy way out in a game is not a good sign for when times get tough. If you can't trust them to act like an adult in game then you shouldn't expect more in real life. I don't waste my time on amoral or immoral jerks. I have sent more than one "friend" in real life packing because of things such as underage (by a 7 year difference) statatory rape, theft, date-rape, rascism, and many more things. In game I have reported then ignored people that I have know for months for scamming items/unids, abusing the wildy skull bug, macroing, etc. I have 2 young daughters and a very attractive wife; I do not need to have people around me that I can't even trust not to cheat on a game. I only associate with people of the same moral fiber because nobody's friendship is more valuable than the trust required. Once you break that moral barrier that prevents you from doing things that you know you shouldn't and choose to do wrong, it becomes SO much easier to do it again. If you get any sort of positive reinforcment... then forgeddaboudit. That is why I say "Once a cheater, ALWAYS a cheater." but am not referring about gaming; I am referring to relationships. Talk to him (you did). Report him (you did). Tell him to call you when he grows up. Until then, move on; he is not worth the wait.

Things like this is what made the game a lot more special compared to now, and if you weren't playing back then you don't deserve the privilidge of having a real close community and strong interaction between players and mods. Let me get this straight... Because I did not start playing a game at a specific date I do not deserve "the privilidge" of a better gaming atmosphere? The guy is nice and always appears within a day of update time. He sticks around for a bit to hear how the update is going (well most updates at least, I can't be around for them all, lol) and then logs off. If he were to do the same thing with private chat on he would be spammed to death. The point is that the amount of people that desire contact far outweighs the number of contacts now. There are only so many people needed to run Jagex; therefore as the population expands, the employee/gamer ratio dilutes. While I think anybody who says "RS2 Product" with any sort of negative inflection is an absolute idiot, I do wish I could have had the chance to play RSC. Fun(ny) bugs galore, mod/gamer ratio high, new armor, a closer knit community (with obvious exceptions above), and a pking system that I never got to experience... :boohoo: I planned on trying RSC when I hit some random goal and it shut down a week before I made it. Meh, I would assume (and will continue to tell myself) that RS2 more than makes up for it. Right-click the astral altar and pray. You might be able to double-pray at the ancient pyramid to return to normal as well.

its safe they wont take your items I was not accusing them of potential theft. I was making it clear that there were better ways to do their party that would not give the POTENTIAL of theft. Worst case scenario they could have taken the drops from all of the people who helped and then logged. Since this has been changed already there is no chance of potential theft. The way that they intend to run these parties in the future is the way that I described above. Yay! I was hoping that this wasn't a scam since those just make fun parties like these less common. Glad that you guys had fun and perhaps I can make the next (schedule providing, of course).

Only problem that I see is that the people who NEED this knowledge tend to be the ones who don't read stickies/guides, lol. :wall: I've never seen any of those threads at all before - I don't browse the graveyard forums. I'm not against this in any way if there is a problem, I might have sounded like it though. I was just saying it being on this board isn't the best solution for that problem. Not threads, merely posts on threads. Search p2p for "video" and most threads with a video have at least one post about it. I also do not visit the graveyard and also agree with you about the forum choice. Meh, we know what we mean(t) in our heads, lol.

I tend to be suspicious more than I should be but this seems like an easy way to get people to give you free stuff. The fact that you only have 10 posts makes me lean even more in that direction. If you wanted to avoid that and have an even better drop party you should just tell everybody to drop their rewards at the end. Loading up one character with the drops would make a drop party less convenient since they would have to keep banking as opposed to lots of droppers dropping at the same time.

If you could condense and spell-check that I would love to add it in the guide. It is some really great advice and I am sure many would benefit from it. Permit me pl0x? :pray: :XD: While the spec DOES hit high, it lowers it's accuracy. Up until about 85 attack I was having a decent amount of problems when it came to connecting. This might be an option for those with 95+ attack but I would still think that dds specs would end up with a higher damage average. The yellow portal can be destroyed with 2 specs each from 4 or 5 high leveled players so it doesn't really count since it is rarely the last to fall. I just mention this in case you were referring to that portal. As to the portals being weak to crush, I FAR out damage full verac's with a whip which would not happen if they were weak to crush. The slower speed of the flail would be more than compensated by its special effect over the whip if they were weak to crush. This, of course, is based off of my personal experiences and not actual Jagex confirmation so I could be wrong. The mage tip is great with a mud staff on non-high leveled worlds for the xp and the weakening effect. I would think that a dds would out-damage a mystic mud (about a rune long) but have never really compared the two. JOIN AFFLICTION!!! 90+ is pretty easily obtained for most players who go all out and they are a fun group. At 114 and with a decent teamwork ethic you will be readily accepted. They are NOT a clan but are a "group" so it should not conflict with any other obligations you have. The link is in the first post.

While I think that there are better places for this guide (the technical one and, like you mentioned, the graveyard one), I have also seen LOADS of people that have no clue on how to use it. This is a very clear guide and, I would assume, will help many people who are new to pk vids, jad vids, etc. Good job. O:)

Some people view screwing other players over in any way possible as a good thing. Economically and TECHNICALLY they are correct. If they make others lose out on xp and/or cash that makes their own stats/banks that much "better". This, however, is a very, VERY selfish view. Add me. I usually tele any person who wants to let my lazy butt follow them to the altar each time. The xp for teleother is just shy of camelot teleport and therefore pretty decent xp. I end up making more cash during the craft than the cost of the materials (let alone the crazy rc xp) so I gladly tele as many other people as possible to be nice. If I see another crafter come by, I position myself between him/her and my runner so they can both get a free ride. Another bonus for the follower (me) is that I don't take any damage; the leader takes it all (which is a VERY small amount but meh, it is still a nice side effect). They get faster runs and I get nearly afk rc xp (not to mention the mage xp) so it is a win-win situation. P.S. To all of you people who tele/teleother back to the bank: do NOT bring the required astrals to the altar! I have seen MANY people do this. It is a waste of a slot because you don't need to tele until AFTER you make astrals. That little slot saved adds up fast when crafting a couple thousand astrals.

The stringing spell does your whole inventory in one cast but it does each one individually and costs a full spell's worth of runes each. Anything below glories are a waste of runes/time. Ardy general store is much cheaper and, due to the effort/cost of gathering the runes for the spell, is also faster. The glass spell does your whole inventory simultaneaously and only costs one spell's worth of runes to do that whole inventory. The amount of glass you can get varies RANDOMLY from +0 to +6 with 3 being relatively common when casting it on 13 soda ash/sand. You should always cast it on 13 since the bonus glass is comparitively higher unless, of course, you are doing it for the mage xp (not fantastic). I would do 3 at a time in that case since it can give up to +2 which is the most extra compared to the soda ash/sand used. You can use soda ash AND/OR seaweed with sand, therefore you should stop wasting time "cooking" seaweed into soda ash. When making glass without this spell you are wasting loads of potential cash/xp; so use it.

I think it lasts until you take get him by an enemy. The 30 second thing is you cast it, then you must wait 30 seconds to cast it again. Sooo... Let's say you cast it, wait 30 seconds, enter the wildy, get hit, cast it again, then unload 4 dds specs? If so, the wildy is an even more dangerous place, lol.

No no no. Let me rephrase that. On high-leveled pc worlds those actions are leaching. On ANY other world, you are doing EXACTLY what you should be doing! Sorry for the confusion. The reason I said leach was because this guide refers to high-leveled worlds and groups.
