  1. Team America World Police - funny movie, uses every cliche it can find and makes fun of it. the puppeteering is good in some parts, and then blantantly bad in others. they dont even bother hiding the strings. they want you to know that its a puppet movie. its just really, really funny. BASEketball - after i finished TA i felt like more hilarious comedy, so i had to watch this movie. uses the general sports movie cliche, but thats expected. the sport they make up is pretty fun to play also. Elf - saw a little of the middle of this movie, so i decided to watch it allthe way through. its family friendly, and everything works out in the end, but i didnt hold that against it. will farrell is hilarious, as normal, and zooey deschanel was hot. its a christmas movie too, so i guess it could be considered good for this time of year. A Mighty Wind - its a mockumentary, basically a comedy in documentary form. its funny, but i liked it mostly because of its format. i liked the idea. halfway decent comedy. King Kong - naomi watts is definently one of the hottest celebrities, if not the hottest one, so that makes this movie worthwhile right there. you can definently tell peter jackson directed it, the ending took forever. it was cool watching kong battle all the things in the forest, and it was cool seeing him destroy stuff in nyc. its just the king kong story, action filled and a little romance. all the neat special effects and naomi watts were the main points of this movie.
  2. haha, thats good one :D i dont think people should be mad about rotk winning. we long ago decided this competition wouldnt judge the greatest movie ever, just the most liked movie from the people on this board. its all in good fun, lighten up a bit :D
  3. it seemed like a good idea, but i didnt care for it all that much. maybe i didnt give it enough time, i dont know. i didnt care for aoe3 either. id rather play aoe2 any day. currently im addicted to the sims, got all 7 expansions going. tried the sims 2, once again id rather just play the original. same with quake 4, i liked quake 3 better. never did do anything in q4, they start you in the middle of a battle or something, played for about 5 minutes and got bored. maybe the multiplayer is still good. im waiting for oblivion, as i have been for the past year, and its getting closer every day. but its a single player game, so no meeting new people there.
  4. Great Escape - recieved the steve mcqueen 4 movie box set in the mail, this is the only one ive watched so far. its pretty good, its enertaining, and i really enjoyed the ending. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire never got into the harry potter books, they never really looked that good and there was always something else to read (back when i read books religiously). i saw the first movie a long time ago, probably when it came out on dvd. i didnt remember any of it except bits and pieces, dont even remember how i felt about it. but that was the only time i ever experienced harry potter. after re-watching the first one, i kind of liked it. for a kids movie it was pretty enertaining, enough to where i wanted to see the second one. it was ok, about the same as the first. by the third one i was into it a little more, and the movie got a new director. the kids are older, and i think act a bit better. i liked this one pretty well. the fourth one was great, and now voldemort is back. cant wait for the fifth one. in the mean time ill have to go to the library and check out some books.

it turned out to be nothing monumental. i liked it, and it was filmed well, the story just didnt keep you into it all that much. if you are a marine or part of a division of the armed forces, you might enjoy this movie more than most people. like i said before i enjoyed it, but thats probably because jake gyllenhaal + sam mendes. EDIT: probably should point out while it is a war movie, there is not much fighting in it. i think one time they get attacked by mortars, but never see anyone. thats the only fighting there is, except when they are watching apocalypse now, they are watching people fight :D
  6. just a few topics down there is already a 24 page topic about this: What movie(s) did you last see?
  7. my favourite soundtracks to listen to are requiem for a dream and run lola run. i dont know if they are the best or not, but i enjoy them the most.
  8. hey its closer now, thats kind of cool. godfather could still win i quess, it goes till tonight.

san andreas wasd the only one i ever played, and i was very happy with it. never did get 100 completion though, i was probably around 60 or 70.
  10. Godfather: Part 2 - not quite as good as the first one, but i still like it a lot. quality writing, directing, and acting. Godfather: Part 3 - this one was... different... than the other godfathers. it wasnt bad, it just didnt feel like a godfather movie. it was ok, but definently outshined by the first two. Fistful of dollars - good For a Few Dollars More - good The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - good +1 not a big fan of westerns, but these were good. enertaining, even if you dont like westerns. the story lines were good, kept you interested. I Heart Huckabees - this is one funny movie. this was my second time through, and i remembered it being really funny the first time, but this time it was even better. this is definently my favorite comedy, because it makes you think a bit. while i dont agree with the political views in it, that doesnt bother me. this is definently a must see for everyone, its just awesome.
  11. i found your last two posts to be the funniest thing on this thread.
  12. is this what you were looking for? google search: nes java online games 1st result 8)
  13. kinda off topic, but is anyone here a godfather? i am, to my nephew. all it means though is i have to buy him gifts for first communion and confirmation and stuff.
  14. El Mariachi - great movie, first one in robert rodriguez's mexico trilogy. tied with the third one for how good it is, good story line, the actors were good, kinda wished they kept the same mariachi for the next two movies. one of the first movies robert did, so you can tell the budget wasnt too high. but everything was pulled off very well, definently liked this movie. Desperado - robert rodriguez is a good director/writer/producer, but for some reason this movie seemed like he wasnt trying all that hard, just trying to ride the back of the first one. it was good, but it seems like he held back and didnt try too much on this one. Once Upon a Time in Mexico - i saw this one before, but i had to watch it after i finished the first two. i like johnny depp, and he played his charachter well. expecially near end after something happens to him. good movie, i liked the story. i have a few more, have to edit them in later. EDIT: the rest Bewitched - will farrell is funny, and i like nicole kidman, and i liked the old tv show bewitched, so i enjoyed this movie. there could have been a little more comedy to it though, it seemed lacking. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe - its a kids movie, only rated pg, and you can definently tell. its also a disney movie, so it keeps it kind of nice. all the good charachters ended up being fine, all the bad charachters died. i never read the books, so i had no idea what to expect. the story was good, i like fantasy, but i think somebody other than disney could have made it better. maybe it was exactly like the book, in which case i probably just wouldnt enjoy it all that much nomatter who does it. i dont mind kids movies, in fact i enjoy some of them, but if it has a war in it, you cant keep it nice for the kids and make it work well. the big battle was very, very disapointing, you dont get that "all is lost" and "we are all going to die" feeling, it looks easily winable. anyways, if i was younger, i would have loved this movie. now, its just ok. Aeon Flux - i kinda liked the story, and the action was ok, but nothing really special about this movie. just your run of the mill comic book movie. Fantastic Four - probably nothing special about this movie either, but i liked it a lot. they did all the special effects very well, and jessica alba was hot. thats pretty much sums everything up. Hero - at a friends house and we just finished fantastic four, but had time for another movie. i had hero with me, so we watched it. my review stays the same as last time, just it seemed a little longer this time. i dont watch movies twice within one month period very often, i cant watch any movie too often and enjoy it as much everytime.
  15. Ok, you're stupid. haha,m that was the first thing i thought to say after reading the topic title. after reading his post, i now realize its probably less of a joke and more towards the truth than i originally thought.
  16. download.com you can normally trust to be safe. anyways, ive heard from other people that "Fraps" is the best thing to use to capture video, but i know next to nothing about it.
  17. dont tell me your birthday was recent, that would be horrible! the full version of the movie comes out on dvd in just 4 days! youll see 20 something minutes of the movie that was cut so it could fit in its time slot. they call it the extended version, but its basically the full movie. and it comes with the first volume of sin city.

  25. first time i saw it i was pretty much  the whole time. then i got the directors cut and watched it the second time, after that i was ok. everytime i watch it now i concentrate on it more, and usually find something else out. probably my favourite movie :D
